    Hey man, thanks for the comments. I have used tape on the lace system. It was easy clean up but I have a “very” exposed front hair line and tape just wouldn’t cut it for me. I’ve used walker hard bond and find that if I have irritated my scalp before the instal it has on occasion burned. Normally not a problem. Also, Ghost Bond would probably be less irritating if you’ve had issues. Thanks again!

    I just bought Walkers Ultra hold glue on my M104 hairpiece and I get glue strands everywhere. On my clothes, my fingers and my hairpiece itself. Im dying here lol. How do I deal with the hair strands getting on myself and my hairpiece?

      I don’t usually have a problem. I m super intentional though but I have had numerous issues if I’m not. If the glue gets older, it’s worse for sure.

    Greetings again Rick! I'm using a water-based glue but I'm curious about the silicone-based kind like the one in this video. I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate your advice:
    1. What I don't like about the water-based glue is you have to wait for it turn from white to clear and really dry out (takes up to 20mins!). Even then I keep finding traces of white here there around the hairline. Is it right to assume this doesn't even come into play with silicone-based ones? This would be a great plus if so. Silicone-based just generally looks quicker and easier to apply too.
    2. I've heard some skepticism about the chemicals used in silicone-based glues. What's your opinion about that? I see you even razer shave your head before gluing so I assume you don't get any irritation!

      No issues with the walkers hard bond I use. I could not do the water-based because of the same issues. Plus my scalp is way too oily and it gets too hot in Texas. Second, yes, I do razor shave with no issues. It is recommended to do a patch test first to make sure you don’t have a reaction. The only time I did was when I ripped an old system off without solvent. Rip my skin off too, ouch. When I put the glue on it burned like heck. Didn’t do that again, other than that - no problems at all.

    So you don't wait for the glue to dry? I was strictly warned that it won't bond properly if I do that. Is it not a problem from your experience?
    I notice you don't even use tapes to line up the hair system to your head and hair line. How do you do that?? Is that also the advantage of not waiting for the glue to dry as you can then still realign the hair system a little after you put it on your head?
    I appreciate your advice as I'm planning to do my hair system cleanup tomorrow!

      Hey, greetings. I actually do allow the glue to dry to the “tacky to touch” stage. You are correct. As far as attaching the systems, I bend over a mirror and press the front to my hairline while the rest of the system hangs down. Practice has it that I know exactly where it needs to go. I then continue to place the rest of the unit on. Spraying with alcohol can give you a moment to adjust if you miss the placement a bit. Best wishes to ya man. Peace. Let me know if you have other questions.

    Hey rick, does your front hairline ever lift off a bit after a few days of heavy perspiring? And if so, how do you go about gluing the front hairline back down? When I go to the gym, ill sweat right? I do this a few times a week and after the 3rd or 4th workout of the week, my hairline will begin to lift due to heat, sweat, and possibly contact with face wipes. I tried to add walkers glue using a q tip or even toothpick but I was getting strands of glue on my forehead LOL

      That has happened to me as well. Two things: 1. I found that pressing the front edge back down and letting it cool off and dry off that it sealed back down. 2. It hasn’t happened after I put a bit more walkers out to the edge of the unit to begin with. Do you put the adhesive on your scalp or on the system? I put it on the system and make sure there is enough out to the edge. If you have to put more adhesive, it’s best to lift up the unit about an inch back then apply more glue to all of the front inch. I have done the “tooth pick” routine as well. I found that I had to do it every day when I left the gym, but when I did the inch, it worked. - If I don’t get enough glue out to the front edge originally, it being too thin of an amount, it dries too much before I get it on my head. It will stick at first but then lift. Hope this helps!!!

    I like to go cycling and ride motorbikes. How do these systems hold up to a helmet being on for a couple of hours? Thanks, mate. Good luck

      Hey buddy! I ride a Honda gold wing . It always concerns me with the helmet and humidity but every time I get to where I’m going I find the hair is fine. I mean it’s jacked up as far as style is concerned, lol, but it’s still secure. Peace man!

    Hey Rick you look great!
    This transparent base hair system is amazing! The best that i can get in Pakistan is a full french lace system but it is still not totally invisible like yours.

    Hi Rick. So I noticed you didn't allow time for the glue to dry some and get to that tacky stage. Or did you just fast forward? If so how long do you wait when applying the glue to the system only?

    • @thehighlevelman
      @thehighlevelman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man, yeah, Inlet it dry to the tacky stage for sure. It works better for me to apply the glue to the unit. If I put the adhesive on my head I will wind up with glue exposed around the edges. It just takes out the guess work for me. Peace man!

    One more question, how long does Ricks thin skin piece last on average?

    I just got my system on Friday. having fun playing with it, but I am experiencing a little bit of the edge pulling off a little. not sure if it's me being too aggressive with it, but I am not doing anything different (I think) than the person who installed it did. we started off leaving it long like yours, but he convinced me to cut it back to about 3"-4". any suggestions on how to get the hair to not look so frizzy. I am using a medium hold pomade, any products you suggest, I would love to know. I think the flow of yours is amazing. next piece I want it longer. he was just concerned with me being a newbie that I would get frustrated with longer hair..

      A few questions…what adhesive are you using, tape or glue? I use Walker hard bond on a skin system. Is yours lace or skin?
      I have found that you can’t use a lot of heat blow drying. I also don’t usually dry completely. If it ever looks dry or frizzy after the blow dry I sprits it lightly with leave in conditioner and run a wide tooth comb through it , fixes it right up. I do a funny thing with the hair cut. I start with it long, then in a couple of weeks cut it some, then a couple of weeks later I cut it a bit more. By the end of the units life it’s fairly short. People think it grows longer but it’s actually going in reverse. Lol

      ghost glue, skin, no hair dryer at all. i do have oily skin though.

    • @thehighlevelman
      @thehighlevelman  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kapper1965 oily skin for me too. I used ghost bond at first. No worky for me. Walker hard bond is a bit trickier to use but fixed all my problems. Not sure about the frizzy issue. Do you have any grey %? I also found natural grey was frizzier than synthetic. Doesn’t make sense but was the case. I would use a good leave in conditioner as well as conditioner when you shampoo. I also put Aveda Mens gel in it and that helps a lot.

    • @kapper1965
      @kapper1965 ปีที่แล้ว

      so the aveda gel is what u use to style vs a pomade or clay?

      and it’s 70% gray, 100% natural hair.

    Hey Rick, thanks for the witty video and your new unique song. Do you exclusively use glue only? Do you ever use tape on your hair system? I'm in the process of experimenting which way is easier for me. I used the glue on my first hair system and now I'm using the tape for my second one. I found that the glue irritated my scalp. No problem so far with the tape. Keep 'em coming.

    I used hairsystem but why the system in the hairline easily to lifted every 1-2 days i used ultra hold and katelon sometimes

    • @angiboozer1891
      @angiboozer1891 ปีที่แล้ว

      The front hairline tends to lift from the oils from the scalp/face. Also from washing your hair/face. Sometimes the water based adhesive works better for touch ups. Also if you apply adhesive to the scalp and the hair system it will last longer. Make sure the area you're touching up is clean too. 70%-91% alcohol works well for a quick touch up.

    • @thehighlevelman
      @thehighlevelman  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would make sure you are getting the adhesive all the way to the edge of the system. It’s easy to miss and I’ve done that. It should last more that two days though! Peace man
