This song hit me hard. I get something different almost every time I read a verse in the Bible. But, after what I have been going through for the past year and a half I thought god forgot about me. At one point I begged him to just take me home. I don’t think anyone else would have got from this song what I did. Your music is amazing!
Every time I read the Bible, I am humbled even more. I have always known about the self-righteous people, yet still disregarding my own. I have been very stressed, lazy, sad, angry at myself, and full of self-pity. I have known GODs existence, but have been acting as if he’s not there. I am still young and have been in the church most of my life. My family has fallen away from Church, and in all my 8 years of going into church. I never once remember sitting down and reading the people having a serious talk to us about sin. They never brought it up because we were children, but it starts in the teenage years. Ever since I have started reading and actually seeking the lord I have been able to fix many of my sinful habits. I still have much to work on and have talked to my parents yesterday and we might be going to church again. My mother has been skeptical about going to church from the lack of love for god in them and the growing openness to sin.
HUGE HUG, you aren't alone! "He who knew no sin, became sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God." Everyone falls short of the Glory of God. Just believe in Jesus. He will do the rest if you continue to surrender all to him daily. Psalms 34:18 GOD is close to the broken hearted! Jesus loves YOU my friend!

What an amazing God and savior we have in Yeshua (Jesus)…what faith in the Father (all of my hope is in you) in the midst of trials and the substitutionary atonement (man is but a breath, remove your plague from me, it is You who has done it)…tempted as we are, bearing our sin, yet without sin…Praise Yeshua!!!…and bravo on this song, well done

I'm not perfect by far but I don't see anything of this world as more important than what God gives us. It's my honor to bring glory to Him. I take responsibility for the conditions I have placed around my life and I know I deserve nothing. I just feel like He deserves more respect than this. How a sinner can order Him around and dictate His actions takes a special kind of ego. Maybe I'm just a different kind of sinner. Thank you Jesus for saving us all.

I will guard my mouth with a muzzle so long as the wicked are in my presence. O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days let me know how fleeting I am! I believe the Lord does show some people their Life's end. But only for those who really and truly Love Him. For those who Truly Live God, God can show that person their end on this earth and that person can Rejoice in that or they should Rejoice in that. I don't think it's meant for everyone but only those whom the Lord chooses to know. This needs to be noticed, it may not be an exact date and time but the Lord can say soon when and where abouts. This all goes by impressions of the heart as Deep calls out to deep and Heart to heart sandwhich Spirit to spirit.

Hi Donald! That verse is in the song - "That You'll save me from all my sins." The commentaries I read indicated that the plea for deliverance from sins was heavily linked to the line "my hope is in you," despite them being marked as "different" verses.
I (Shane) use a combination of Bible translations, primarily the ESV, KJV/NKJV, NIV, and NASB, to put the lyrics together. I also study the Psalms extensively with commentaries from Boice, Goldingay, Ross, Henry, Spurgeon, Calvin, and others to make sure we are capturing “the essential meaning of every verse.” I do not follow any specific translation word-for-word, though some songs may come somewhat close. I try to balance faithfulness to the literal text with the aesthetic quality of the song.

Such a deep psalm, nice musical rendition. Please correct pronunciation of "scourge" -- rhymes with "urge."
That really depends on where you're from. I have never pronounced it like that, and rarely have heard it pronounced to rhyme with "urge". It is fine

I think there is no particular version. Probably close to ESV but the word "sojurner" is in KJV.
I think they mix the versions to get good lyrics that flow together for a song.
