I believe the Utah Hockey Club has a limited amount of time to respond to the rejected applications to the names Yeti, Yetis, Blizzard and Venom. I believe the rejection specifically for Yeti and Yetis getting much of the attention is because it is the popular name choice by the fans. The thing is, Yeti is notably the name of an American luxury cooler company. There is a mountain bike brand named Yeti Cycles. One of the names that were not rejected needs a response from the team in very short order if they are trademark it. One of them is the Mammoth. I can see potential for a great logo. Only confusion I could have is that there is a National Lacrosse League team called the Colorado Mammoth. I know it is just a placeholder jersey set for Utah, but I don't like them using a diagonal wordmark. Only the Rangers can pull that off. I really like their colors and I expect that to transfer over to the permanent name and branding. Then again, it might not if the upcoming name does not fit good enough with those colors. I really hope the rumors of Utah keeping the current road jersey are not true. It would be a terrible decision. Their current jerseys are boring. Just a slight correction in reference to the Utah Hockey Club. It is a brand new franchise. Ryan Smith acquired only the hockey assets (player contracts, draft assets and hockey operations staff that relocated) from the now-inactive Arizona Coyotes franchise. The Coyotes intellectual property (trademarked name, logos, colors, uniforms, team records and history) remained in Arizona until Alex Meruelo relinquished it to the league.
Awesome video and cool Utah Jersey Mr gozza. Have a good Saturday and weekend to you and until your next video ✌️ Mr gozza.
I dig it! This will be extra special when they get their team name and new uni's next year

You know, I haven't actually seen a Utah jersey until now. I really wish they would've named them and leaned into some sort of Sasquatch theme lol
