Also, for Mbappe, compared to Usain Bolt, the difference is 10.9 to 9.58, which gives us 1.32 seconds, which gives us roughly 9 minutes and 15 seconds behind 1st in a marathon. That’s enough to smoke a 4.3 CB
@@archsys307 is it really enough to smoke a corner? Let’s say 4.2 WR catches a speed out and makes a right turn up the field with a 4.3 CB on his hip and they dead sprint to the end zone. Using average yard/second, it would take 5 seconds for 4.2 WR to make a 1 yard gap between 4.3 CB. Both will have ran 47.5 and 46.5 yard respectively down field. A 1 yard gap is a nice bit of separation but taking 5 seconds and 45 yards to do so shows that 4.2 speed does NOT “smoke” 4.3 speed. This is why scouts consider 4.5 even for a corner to be fast given you have other attributes.
@@roderickclerk5904 I did embellish with smoke, but .1s is absolutely the liftoff mark that allows you to be a much bigger threat to a corner than if the 40 gap was only .05s, it means the time to half a yard separation is damn near 2 seconds especially if their 20 yard splits are even more differentiated and if the CB is tailing a half yard behind or more in the first place, in 2 seconds that could be the difference between a catch, TD, and incompletion. It’s not going to be every situation but small speed increases can make huge differences in those 1 in 20

The thing is there have been loads of extremely fast guys in other sports, but none of them can hang with the big boys on the track. There were a few players like 20+ years ago that were able to keep decently close to the sprinters of their day, but today...not a chance. Track speed is just very different from games speed. Tyreek Hill is very fast, though not as fast (top end speed) as Mike Wallace (he played for the Steelers and ran a very quick 100) because Mike Wallace had a longer stride and could still move his legs almost as fast as Tyreek does. These guys are super quick, but when it comes to true speed the teack guys will come out on top every time.
Mbappe is probably way faster, he got 10.9 probably because he had the ball and also because he ran a lot before the sprint. Football players run 10 km per game and mbappe runs with a crazy speed even at the end of a game. Probably if he was on a race his time would be like 10.5 bc there is no way a 14 year old can run faster than mbappe
@@TheoOJamaloO1 He's running on grass with football boots kicking a ball, and he's not trying to break a 100m PR. With a start from the block he runs faster than 10.9
And what about it? Tyreek runs with a ball in his hand so he has no arm momentum and he is also wearing 15 pound pads. Point is, they are both slower than bolt under any circumstances
I'd love to see Usain Bolt vs Tyson Gay vs Yohan Blake when they all got 9.69. So we can compare it down to the 1000th. I've seen people think that they are faster than Bolt and the only reason why they aren't top is because of wind conditions etc. Please please make this!
I mean, it's ok but it's nothing new/special. Ethiopians and Kenyans have held world records in long-distance racing since forever. Where African countries (mine included) really need to improve their performance is in areas like technological development, socio-economic equality, and government transparency/accountability.
0:32-0:40 how you know someone does not run track. If they ran track then would know that a whole second slower than someone is not close if they raced like in the video you would know that mbappe is actually very far from Usain why? Because 10.9 is not “close to” 9.5 thats actually very far only ppl who dont run track would say he’s close
Bro I once ran an 11.1 FAT against a bunch of 12.0 runners and I looked like a professional. I then ran against a dude who ran a 10.34 in my race. It made me look silly how slow I was. Bolt ran against a guy who ran 10.34 in his WR and the 10.34 runner is barely on the screen. I want a professional sprinter to run against these supposedly fast soccer players who run about 11.0s to see how ridiculous it would look. 🤣. Give them a reality check to track speed.
Hello, I put him a ball just to represent his sport ! 😄😁 He was clocked without it (for sure, he was analysing how the game evolved when he ran that time, and maybe trying to get away from defenders), but let's not forget that it wasn't a standing start + it wasn't recorded with a reaction time (0.15s). I was "nice" as I said in the video, because I just added up the reaction time (0.15s) to be as fair as Bolt, but anybody who runs tracks know that a flying start can improve your time over 100m up to 0.70s ! I considered that "these" 0.70s (about 7m over 100m) that I gave him made up for the fact that he was playing on the grass, not his first sprint, with shoes that aren't spikes, probably trynna not get too close to defenders etc... In that sense I found that the time 11.05s was legit, and for the reminder, the ball is just something I added in the animation, he could have no ball and still make that time (in that simulation). But I think if he really tries sprint seriously, on the same conditions as a professional sprinter, training his speed maintenance over 100m... that he could go faster than 11.05s, no doubt !
1) I don't think it was actually specified how that time of Mbappe was measured or if he ran with or without the ball. 2) I don't think that it is even possible to run 100m straight with the ball on the football pitch, which is from 100 to 110m long by the rules. There would be defenders in the way so no chance for straight run. There is some minimal chance that you could run 100m without ball while returning from the opponents goal area or vice versa - running from your own to support the attack. 3) Flying start means that you are crossing the start already at speed. Penalty for standing start would be much more than 0,15 s of reaction. To put things into perspective - the fastest 4x100m relay split time for flying 100m is 8,70s. Summary: You did some interesting and creative video while missing some key facts and based on dubious reporting from BBC. Total Running Productions channel did just the same in slightly different form.
@@unknow629no, not at all. If you are fully grown, getting a second faster is literally impossible unless you start from an extremely slow place. Unless you’re fat to begin with, which mbappe isn’t, you won’t lose an entire second. Unfathomable for a pro athlete already in peak condition.
That's not the full speed (potential) of the Mpape why, he was controlling the ball and it slowed him down. In this case, Usain bolt had the most advantage cos his both hands are free and he made the most of them to move his body. Tyreek on the other hand had to just use his one arm to swing.. Nice video, you did a great job 👍

I didn't realize that 1 second is such a huge gap. Now I respect Usain's 9.58s. I also respect those guys who finish within a meter or two behind Usain.
From a world-class track athlete standpoint, 1 second is a big difference in sprinting. Even 0.1 seconds is a big enough gap to separate athletes with different tiers. Let's say if anyone goes under 9.85 is A-Tier, then 9.86 - 9.95 is B-Tier.
Running with the ball on your feet and running with a ball in your hand is a big difference because just imagine a ball on your feet trying to run at full speed trying to control it at all times and not falling

Tyreek Hill is very fast, though not as fast (top end speed) as Mike Wallace (he played for the Steelers and ran a very quick 100) because Mike Wallace had a longer stride and could still move his legs almost as fast as Tyreek does. These guys are super quick, but when it comes to true speed the teack guys will come out on top every time.
maybe because they mainly do track???
This looks so accruate to how they run! Amazing
Yes a 14 year old can there's 15 year old in Jamaica running 10.70 and a 16 year old running 10.20
Yes mbappe is way faster than that
No he ain't @@Ok-oo2kh
Mbappe ain't going sun 11. He is going to have a wacky start and a bad top speed maintenance he is going 11.2 at best
@@rowsboy1341 there is no way I’m faster than the fastest football player at 14 years old

Africans like to claim everything dont they...
I mean, it's ok but it's nothing new/special. Ethiopians and Kenyans have held world records in long-distance racing since forever. Where African countries (mine included) really need to improve their performance is in areas like technological development, socio-economic equality, and government transparency/accountability.

I don't think this was fair because Tyreek Hill was carrying a football and Mbappé was dribbling a soccer ball
-u think moving a ball at will, wile running at that speed is normal
That’s “Bye Bye” was epic 😂🔥
Mbappe being that slow against them is crazy
Hi
Impressive video fam❤
How is that fair for mbappe?
The time it takes to dribble the ball makes a world of difference compared to bolt and hill sprinting.
Hill is also wearing pads which are 5 pounds and reduce your movement and he’s wearing a helmet that weighs him down as well.
Yeah but pads aren’t anywhere near as bad as a ball
The time this video is based on isn’t with mbappe dribbling a ball. Its a cosmetic
@@skully6996I’d love to see mbappe race tyreek hill in full pads.

Can you do Noah Lyles vs tyreek hill
0:32-0:40 how you know someone does not run track.
If they ran track then would know that a whole second slower than someone is not close if they raced like in the video you would know that mbappe is actually very far from Usain why? Because 10.9 is not “close to” 9.5 thats actually very far only ppl who dont run track would say he’s close
True. An average sprinter also usually only improves my a few milliseconds each season.
@@joedagg4495 WELL SAID🤝
This is funny but also intriguing
So unfair Bro was kicking a soccer ball 💀
@@MotionAthlete ok

Watch the games he is. Who else would it be? Mostert
Who is it?
Mbappe still trynna kick his little soccer ball and run at the same time made me laugh for no reason 😂
Does anybody know what program or game this was made with?
Hello, that's not a game, that's a 3d render ! It's made with Blender, Marvelous Designer, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects !

Usain destroyed Mbappé💀

This is really cool and interesting it kind of reminds me of a runner version of the totally accurate battle simulator games where you can play out a scenario to see what would happen
I didn't realize that 1 second is such a huge gap. Now I respect Usain's 9.58s. I also respect those guys who finish within a meter or two behind Usain.
Look up Bolts world record. The guy who came last in that race ran a 10.34. That is 0.76s difference and he is barely on the screen. 1 second is HUGE.
Running while dribbling a fútbol while going that fast is impressive af
Ronaldo and usian bolt and Greyhound and cheetah please once 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👃👃👃👃👃👃👃
tyreeks acceleration is crazy tho
Watching Tyreek Hill get burnt doesn’t register in my brain. Usain Bolt has to be a lizard person.
Now let Bolt run kicking a ball 🤣
Running with the ball on your feet and running with a ball in your hand is a big difference because just imagine a ball on your feet trying to run at full speed trying to control it at all times and not falling
Tyreek has atleast 15lbs of pads and gear on him
I wonder what difference it would make if Mbappe did not have to kick a football the whole time.
Little to no difference, also this is his time without the ball
LOVELY
