Crestone Peak and Needle - Colorado 14er Extreme Dayhike

Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle are rock scrambles with exposure; Crestone Peak has significant rockfall danger. Crestone Needle is generally recognized as being in the top 5 in climbing difficulty of all the Colorado 14ers. Hiking both Peak and Needle on standard routes is over 3k feet of class 3 scrambling with some class 4 moves.
NOTE: If you are new to 14ers, do NOT make these your first mountains to hike.
