Since I saw your first video, Blind Date with a Book, I decided to do this for my daughters and a couple of close friends. You are so creative and your tutorials are so easy to follow. Thank you for sharing with us!
My blind date with a book sold so, so well at my craft fairs. I loved making them. I have 2 more craft fairs and I am making more. I have really enjoyed your craft fair series this year, as I have other years too.
I just adore these! They are great as a Lil' pick me up... A hospital gift. Date night. Book club. Or a great addition to a burr basket or stocking stuffer. The list goes on & on 🤭 TFS these. Yours are lovely. Ty🤗
Just a fabulous idea! Loved watching how everything came together to make this beautiful gift! Not surprised at all that it was such a hit at your fair. Thanks, as always, for sharing! 😍🧡
You never disappoint with all of what you make. I am not a book reader, but want to make the books. Looking forward to see pics of your craft fair. Have a great rest of the week. Cindy/Dallas, texas 😊
Absolutely gonna try these just for friends/family - so thoughtful! I would love receiving something like this, too. I just did a video on secondhand gifts & I'm gonna have to follow up on that and show ppl what they can do with all the books you can find at peddlers malls, etc. Thank you!
I showed my husband this and he is going to do me 12 books one for each month of the year they will not be a beautiful as yours but he will be picking each book him self ❤thanks for the gift idea
After watching your first Blind Date With A Book video, I added these to my craft fair inventory. They were a HUGE hit! I also did a holiday version as well. I made a video on my channel putting together the holiday version with a shout out to you and a link to your original video. Thank you for sharing your fabulous ideas!
what a fun gift idea! my DIL loves to journal and i think it would be fun to wrap a journal like this with all kinds of journaling goodies in the pockets. love the inspiration i get from you! thank you so much for sharing. i'm making some pocket goodies like you did with the 8 x 8 cs and had cocoa, biscoff etc, but i'm using up some mini paper bags i had on hand. they are turning out so cute.
Hey Amber. I made these last week before I saw the Christmas edition! Rats! I sold 2 of the 13 I made at my first event. Hope to sell the bulk of the remaining at my next one. I found used books in pristine condition at the Friends of the Library sale and at a church bazaar. Books were $3 at the most. I taught a couple of people how to make these. One of them is in Rotary Club and needed a fundraiser. She made about 20 and sold most of them! That’s a win! Thanks for sharing. I’ve been watching you for a few years but never commented. I’m in Tucson. BTW, I’m not having any luck finding the card games at Dollar Tree. Are they from last year? Oh yea, I did one thing different. I sponged the edges of the folds on the book wrap with an ink.
What I’ve been doing with the stickers I use to decorate the books, instead of pulling of the back I just put a little hot glue then they can pull the sticker off and use it. I really enjoy making these. They have sold well for me as well. Yours are beautiful
This was just amazing! You are so sweet and talented. Thank you for sharing your amazing ideas with us. You are just a pleasure to watch and your inspiration helps us all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ✂️🩷🎀
@ omg I have been watching you for so long n love all of your paper crafts !!! I only wish I could make junk journals like you !!!! Thank you for the time you put into your videos
I watched the original blind date with a book. I made them and they sold well at my craft show. Questions, were do you get your books? I have bought some at Costco if I do I would lose money if I charged $15. I have sold them for $28 and $30. I also watched letter to Santa activity pack and they have been a big hit. Thank you for all your creativity and videos.
I love all your work u do!! I want to put my stuff in a craft, but I'm scared because what if it doesn't sell. I've never done this before. How do u know which craft fairs to go to?? Need your advice friend ❤❤ thank u in advance
I so enjoy watching your craft fair series. I’m still catching up but I want to do a Blind date with a book for my daughter and niece’s Thank you so much!💜.
First of all I absolutely love this bind date with a book idea! I also would love a chance at a mystery box but I am not on Instagram. How else can I find out when this happens? I would love this as any of followers would. Thank you sharing your talent withus!
The first Blind Date with a book video I did. It’s linked at the end of this video and it’s also the very first link listed in the description below. :)
I came here to ask the same question. I live in a tiny town, so I have to keep my ear to the ground for library sales in the city. Did some of the books come from the dollar tree? I would totally gag gift a blind date with a dictionary, or a sudoku book for a family member
I give tips in the video I mention with the full tutorial linked below. But I will say watch first your used bookstores to have sales. A lot of the books there are in new and brand new condition. I got most of my books at our Friends of the Library sale, eBay, if Dollar Tree has any from a local bookstore or popular titles, and a lot of my own stash that were brand new. I have a book obsession so I’m always buying books :)
@ thanks so much! Yes,I have some in my stash that I don’t want to keep,so I could use those. I only keep my 5 stars reads! But, I have a lot of 3 and 4 too! Also, my,library is having a sale tomorrow! Yeah!
