Really lovely video. No harsh music, minimal commentary. Just joyful railway videos.
GREAT JOB MATE !!--ABSOLUTELY "STUNNING"--THOSE DETAILS ARE SIMPLY AMAZING-"A BIG SALUTE TO ALL"-!!
Thank you so much. I’m happy you enjoyed the video. Please subscribe to see more
Good to see the layouts and not just the commercial side of Warley. I do have to comment on the use of the term "3mm gauge" though - surely it's 3mm scale.
The layouts were all great with a decent amount of variation! I tried to spend a decent amount of time with all of them. Thank you for pointing out my misunderstanding about 3mm. I will amend the description to read scale instead of gauge. Diolch 🏴☺️
Thanks very much, and excellent film, particularly the bit showing my layout. Watching through, I can see how much of the show I missed, although i did get a good look at the layouts I particularly wanted to see.
Thank you, David! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Which layout was yours if you don’t mind me asking? 😊
Mine is Bridport Town, narrow gauge in 7mm scale, just before the Gauge 1 Live Steam in the video.@@CymruRails
@@davidtaylor8548No way! Bridport looks incredible, you should be very proud. My father and I talked about your layout on our journey home! Thanks for letting me know and please keep in touch 😊
I feel a bit of a nerd watching train videos but it is really quite relaxing well done guys and girls !!
There’s nothing wrong with train videos of being a nerd these days! I’m glad you’re finding it relaxing and I hope you enjoyed the video ☺️ Diolch
Nice video with some good footage of 'my' layout South Pelaw (I'm one of the builders and operators and I can hear me talking to someone in the first half of the footage) but, just to correct one thing, in your chapters you have it down as OO gauge when it's actually EM gauge :)
I’m really happy you enjoyed the video! South Pelaw was one of my favourite layouts at the show. You did a fantastic job. I have now updated the description with the correct gauge. Thank you for pointing this out to me. Diolch ☺️
Beautiful modelling !Super detail and weathering. Love that it's "O"gage. Excellent operating exhibition.
Love the vid so straight to the point. I’ll be thankful for anything this xmas
Thank you for the lovely comment. I’m really happy you enjoyed the video and hope you have a great Christmas!
Before the demise of steam, I worked on the railways as a signal engineer and had an office adjacent to Kings Cross. Take it from me, it was a whole lot grimier than portrayed on nearly all layouts.
That’s really interesting, Tony! What years did you work there? So I think you’re saying there needs to be a lot more weathering on the locomotives and scenery! Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video ☺️
I caught the last few years of steam, loved to stand on the footbridge with eyes tight shut, the smell was incredible!
What factors determine how smoothly trains go across / through points?
Achieving smooth operation of trains over dead zones on points involves ensuring proper track alignment, smooth point mechanisms, uninterrupted electrical continuity, correct wheel gauge, balanced weight distribution, appropriate wheel flanges, smooth track transitions, and maintaining cleanliness to prevent debris interference. Addressing these factors collectively enhances the overall performance of model trains during navigation through these critical areas. I would look out for another video on TH-cam which specifically addresses these issues
Great video and great skills abound. However, with all the effort in realism, still some locos have no crew and/or passengers.
The layouts were some of the best I have ever seen at an exhibition. I understand what you mean about the lack of crews and/or passengers though. Now that you mention it I am noticing a lot more in the video. However due to the high quality of the layouts I am able to overlook this. Thanks for commenting, I hope you enjoyed the video ☺️
I also noticed this, and given the superb quality of most of the layouts I would have thought that a realistic crew was just as important as the accuracy of the scenery and modelled stock. Thanks for your excellent video, the best one I've seen.
@@tankmicr00man Thank you very much! I’m really happy you enjoyed the video. I hope to do more in future, your support means a lot.
Also the trams always seem to be running to fast in comparison to the trains ?
Some of them do seem to be running a little too fast, I know what you mean. This might be due to a different motor being used in the tram engines compared to the other locomotives
It doesn't look good when the bus is going twice as fast as the train ! too realistic like todays train services !!
Unfortunately Warley National Model Railway Exhibition is now indefinitely canceled. This video now stands as a poignant reminder of the incredible events last time at the NEC. However, a new NEC show has been announced that will take the place of Warley. The National Festival of Railway Modelling will take its place on the weekend of November 23rd/24th 2024
