Great review but no cayenne to date has PDK, they are all Tiptronic.

Yeah its disappointing but the GEN1's were offered in manuals, every once in a while one comes up for sale, on Bring A Trailer few months ago someone has a 2005-2008's Cayenne Turbo with 6-speed Manual for sale.

for european viewers , friendly reminder to avoid diesel V6 cayennes , they require lots of (expensive) mentenance and are not that fun , also they do leak a lot , i worked at a decent shop and we had these regularely come in with coolant filling the cylinder bank valley, fuel rail and injector leaking and AC leaks , also the newer , the better with these(BTW most parts are shared with the VW Tiguan so do your reaserch and you can save some big money and still use manufacturer parts , porsche will charge you extra for the same part , you are welcome everybody ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the info... I bought the cheapest Cayenne S 958 in New Zealand, preparing to have expensive repairs to boot... alas it's super reliable if one understands the drive train needs regular services to maintain performance.

How is hat a lot of buttons? they're just the basic fan controls. Very few buttons actually.

All these buttons? They all have a function, and if you own the car you'll quickly know intuitively which button to use. :)

1st gen Cayenne looks like a 911 that's been backed into a shed.

You need to check out a GTS! I have a 2014 GTS 4.8L, Cat-Deletes and ECM Tune and it is so fun to drive, exhaust sounds amazing and engine gets it! Few years when I am ready for another Cayenne I am going with a newer Turbo loaded with tech.

CoPilot said that 2011 year model is even worse. It has had the same number of complaints from customers, but these are more severe than those in the 2004 model. Overheating has reportedly occurred at only 15,000 miles, as well as a complete engine failure at under 40,000. Premature brake wear is another known issue, potentially happening as early as 21,000 miles and costing $3,000 to fix. Overall, we recommend avoiding the 2004 and 2011 year models because of the unnecessary stress they’ll give you that other models won’t.
My question is after fix the above issues. Do the issues come out again and again ?
You know that 2011 vehicles must be over 100000km, even more like 200000km 😂
    Thanks

Having physical buttons for basic functions is a plus. Especially with the lackluster infotainment in that gen.
