Press the sides of the clasp on the boy bag when you close it just like when you open it. I’ve never had a problem with structure with my Boy bags that way.

I hope that makes sense. It’s an extra step, but I think it will make it easier to close and also preserve the lock.

Beautiful Chanel bag collection! With all my classic flaps, I store them with a Chanel ribbon tied around the bag to keep the flap from puckering out. Not so tight so it would not cause a dent on the leather. So far, my bags are in good shape. I make the bow on the side of the bags so the bow is not against the leather.
What a gorgeous collection Amber and I love the beautiful pastels 😍😍 I sent a Chanel bag to leather surgeons and they told me to rotate my Chanel bags when I store them first on their backs, and I think it was rotate to the front and then turn them …..they would be an excellent source because they repair or freshen up so many Chanel bags and see the wear and tear. I really wish I was close to that mall. I’m in Ohio. I asked Siri lol. She said 7.5 hours. I was bummed. Chicago is closer 5.5 hours and my daughter is there 2 for 1 if I go there. We also go to Troy mi. They have a lovely huge mall there. I love watching your vlogs there it looks great. Ahhh maybe someday

I saw a youtuber mention that the bags should not be completely closed. I think the force of the closure in the middle puts tension in the middle lifting the sides so I don't lock my bag and leave it upright. I'm tempted to tie a fabric/satin ribbon on both ends of the flap to see if that does anything. A pink mini rectangle top handle is on my wishlist. Thanks for sharing ❤

if you store the woc with a base shaper the sides won't pucker out :) I've stored mine like that for 2 years and the sides are still flat :) and even now when I take the base shaper out the woc holds its own shape and doesn't flatten on itself ❤️ beautiful chanel collection btw! ❤️
With the WOC I think the flap sticks up bc the snap closure! I’ve heard of girls storing it on there shelf with the snap unsnapped to help with the corners lifting🤷🏼♀️💗 just a thought, hopefully it’ll help

I really enjoyed this. You have a beautiful collection. With the 19, as you tend to wear a lot of pastel colours, have you considered one in soft grey? Chase Amie has one and has done a few videos on it if you want to check it out. It’s a stunning bag and also looks fabulous with blue denim. During the pandemic I sadly had to sell my jumbo. It was exactly the same as yours and as it was 10 years old I made a really good profit on it so I can’t complain too much. I will be in a position to replace it late next year but as I have a lot of black bags I am thinking at the moment of getting a beige clair one instead. It’s a colour that looks fantastic with green especially and as I have green eyes I wear it a lot. I think that would fit better into my wardrobe than another black one. If I feel the need for another black shoulder bag in the future you have got me really interested in the YSL Envelope bag and they are going for for very good prices preloved.
For my caviar medium CF I just gently curved corners of the flap back toward the bag and trained the leather. Now it sits better. Can’t stand seeing Cf that have flaps which out like that lol. Not recommending this as you need to be careful not to flatten the quilts but it worked for me. Wouldn’t do it on lambskin.

Keep the serial cards separately for security. It’s your proof a specific bag is yours if stolen. It’s like keeping the title inside the car, not recommended.
I have a really weird question 😅But I'm planning to buy my first flap bag soon, would it be 'acceptable' to ask the sales associate for a bag that isn't on display? Would love to know ur thoughts on this, especially since many of them offer display items.
Chanel classic flaps should not be closed when not in use if they are kept on a shelf/displayed. The stress of the inside flap will create tension on the outside flap and will cause the issue you’re experiencing with your jumbo. It’s not the organizer that’s damaging the bag. Start leaving the flap open/unlocked when you’re not carrying it, it will help significantly. This is true for double flaps of every size.

Try not keeping the flaps locked when in storage- the sides puff out because there’s a single point of pressure in the middle where the closure is.

I keep my Chanel flaps unlocked but closed that way it does put pressure on the middle and making the ends of the flap pop out
When you close the boy, pinch the hardware in, just like when you are opening it. Then you won't have to push down so much. Great video!

Tip: I store any bag where the flap lifts a bit on the sides- store them with the flap open/undone. My pochette Metis does this. Hopefully this helps.

Get a base shaper for the boy bag. It will make the bag more spacious and keep the shape. I love my chanel boy bag since I got my base shaper.

yes i feel it is 100% acceptable. I think they will typically get one from the back as long as its not the last one left
