AMD processors have better tharmal performance since they run on lower TDP. It's not like it bottlenecks GTX 1660Ti, but there are games that run better with Intel CPUs. Example: Watch Dogs 2, CS:GO.

@@juanpablokieffer it also depends on the laptop which the CPU is in. Different brands have different prices and the laptops have different features/quality. It's hard to talk about the price of CPU only unless it's a desktop part. In some cases AMD gives you better bang for your buck and in some cases Intel.
Had the same problem and im running on dual channel. But the problem i realized as its my first gaming laptop was to use the laptop while charging. Power is not enough on battery which causes the low fps

I train deep learning algorithms so I really need the 2060 rtx. Since training neural nets are GPU centric would such bottlenecks on ryzen 7 3750h with rtx 2060 matter?

I'll tell you one thing, The Ryzen 7, 3750H isn't something much better than the R5 3550H. R7 3750 performs only 5-8% better than the 3550H. And of course 1660Ti is too much for the 3750H, where 1650 is okay. your requirement RTX2060 is far away from something like TUF FX505DU. Rather you need something like ASUS ROG Strix SCAR II GL504GV minimum. and yes thats gonna cost minimum 700$ more.
@@StegoZ Usually the GPU is a bottleneck. I think that Ryzen 3750H is more than enough for GTX 1660Ti, but you would get better performance with Intel i5 or i7 anyway due to architecture differences. It depends on game though

Niestety nie będę w stanie zrobić recenzji ani żadnych porównań z tym laptopem. Testowałem go dawno temu i pogubiłem pliki... Został mi tylko gameplay który widać na filmie bo zapisałem go w innym miejscu. Więc gdybym miał powiedzieć parę słów o tym laptopie to jest dość lekki i kompaktowy, cooling ma dobry i wyświetlacz był też całkiem niezły jak na budżetowego laptopa. W Polsce prawdopodobnie jest 60Hz, ale się dowiedz jeśli zamierzasz kupić. Jak widać po testach Ryzen 7 ma o wiele słabsze osiągi w porównaniu do nawet Intel i5 w niektórych grach, np Watch Dogs 2 czy CS:GO. Niektóre gry lepiej działają na Intelu. Ogólnie osiągi oceniłbym na przyzwoite i pewnie poleciłbym tego laptopa jeszcze wcześniej zanim wyszedł na przykłąd taki 2019 Acer Predator Helios 300, który jest droższy, ale chyba warto dołożyć ten 1000zł więcej za taką różnicę w osiągach + o wiele lepsze funkcje/podzespoły/wykonanie z jakimi przychodzi Helios. Zamiast tego Asusa też warto rozważyć Lenovo Legion Y540 z GTX 1660Ti, który w Polsce kosztuje chyba około tyle samo co TUF FX505, a też ma lepsze osiągi.

The model with GTX 1660TI and i5 will give you the best performance if you wanna choose the fastest, UT R5 + GTX 1660Ti is good as well as you can see in the video

The laptop should run games on dedicated graphics by default. If not, go to Nvidia control pannel and change that. For the screen refresh rate go right click on desktop > intel graphics settings > display > choose refresh rate

Ale być może ludzie mówią tak przez złą reputację poprzedniej wersji "FX504" który był tragiczny. 90 stopni zobaczysz od czasu do czasu w prawie każdym laptopie, ważne żeby temperatura nie utrzymywała się powyżej cały czas. @@fifi8168 możliwe, Asusy z tego co widziałem mają warranty stickers na śrubkach od systemu chłodzenia. Z pastą to zawsze loteria, mój model akurat był ok.

It's a gpu problem, you are running the games on your AMD integrated chip, an d that cause fps drops, don't worry it can be fixed. I had the same problem.

I have the same laptop, but I have one problem with it, the CPU overheat a lot, with a lot of spikes in temperature(100-105 celsius) and the CPU is not even used at full potential only 50-60%. Can you tell me if yours is like mine? with temperature and usage?
Mine had maximum about 87 degrees but usually stayed between 80 and 85. There's definietely something wrong with your unit and i suspect that maybe they screwed up the thermal paste application in the factory or one of your fans is not working. You have to find it out.

I had Predator with GTX 1660Ti and Legion Y540 with 1660Ti as well. According to my tests Predator was performing slightly better, so i think that it will be the same for models with RTX 2060.

Lol the settings were maxed out. The highest possible. Scar 3 should double the fps you're getting. Are you sure you play on turbo mode enabled? This game is CPU dependant, so you need to enable more CPU power by setting turbo mode.
Single channel or dual channel ram? Asus is pretty notorious for using 1x16 GB sticks in their configurations. Drives me crazy some companies do this. If you only have 1 stick, add another stick and you'll see a big performance increase in a CPU dependant game like CS:GO.

Can't tell by this model name. You have to confirm that with the seller since there are many different configurations. However if it's the one with GTX 1650 it most likely has 60Hz. Some of 1660Ti models come with 60Hz too.
I have the same computer, but I get 58 fps very rarely in pubg. most of the time I get 20 to 30 fps. and because it doesn't appear 1080p in the game settings, I enter manually. what should I do?
Check the temperatures and see if thermal or power limit throttling occurs. That may explain performance loss. Also make sure that you're not playing when on battery and check if PUBG is not running on integrated GPU

I've also read that in single channel others experiencing some problems. What would you recommend? @@luappadilla9010 It's better to have dual channel, because it improves the performance. But if you'll buy a laptop with 1x16GB then there's no sense to buy additional 2 sticks of 8GB. You can buy another 16GB stick and you will have 32GB in total.
@@OldFellaD1S4 although 1660ti is better gpu but this laptop has a week CPU so it can't use the full potential of the 1660ti so i would say go for the 1650 if the other specs are same and the performance isn't that much different but you'll get less anyway
Well its said that is 5-10 % diffrence between R7 and and i5 8 series (depend on rig ) but in reality this laptop has better fire strike resoults than my old stationary pc with i7 3770 K , GTX 1070 16 gb by 1800 points and hit 11852 with is way better than in you tube tests . Also crushing i7 7 series i heard so is not that bad procesor with lower TDP 45 Watts instead of 65 and lower temps like 70- 80 instead of 90+ on i7 s .
Not very much, because this laptop has not so big mesh on the bottom to let the air go in. You may see like 3-5 degrees difference if you'll use a good cooling pad
Hello, i got a question regarding this laptop I bought the same model (gtx 1660ti ryzen 7 3750h 8gb of ram and 256gb ssd) and i installed and unofficial copy of windows 10 pro from my cousin. I wanted to download the nvidia gpu drivers but it said it's incompatible and it doesn't recognize the gpu. In the bios the gpu is shown, but in the device manager it's just the vega 10 graphics. Do you have any idea what i can do? Please answer if you can, I'll sub if so
Unfortunately I don't know the answer. This laptop has unusual mix of Ryzen CPU and Nvidia GPU. Try to install GeForce Experience and update graphics drivers using it. If I remember good there's also a separate tool from Nvidia to update graphics drivers, but I don't know the name.
@@TechFinds Thx for answering but GeForce experience doesn't work neither, now the integrated gpu is shown in the device manager (rx Vega 10) but the other option is Microsoft basic display adapter, not my 1660ti. Apparently both need drivers, but the app Driver Booster 7 says everything is fine. The other app, driver easy, installed some other drivers like the wifi and rgb keyboard. But when i boot it up there's a pop up saying configuring your computer. If i somehow get an official licensed copy, could it solve the problem?
@@darius4748 Official OS still will be clean without any software from Asus, so i think that it will not solve the problem. The problem is lack of the things from Asus you should have got with the laptop.

Hi Guys ! and Tech Finds! I have the same laptop with 1660Ti, I am playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint but I am just getting 11fps or sometimes lower. So I tried Disabling my radeon RX graphics and dedicate the work to GTX 1660ti at first the game is really doing fine but after a few days. the game with 1660ti only running is playing in 3 fps only. Any advice ? Thank you!
So did the laptop switch back to Radeon graphics again? Try to set it back to GTX 1660Ti so you can confirm that it's just because of switching the graphics card.
@@TechFinds It switch back to radeon even if I disable it ? If that is what you mean. No, when rad is disabled and the gtx is only turned on. I find that it gives all the work to the CPU and my GTX got only 3% of the graphic processing. So I assume that I have a Defective GTX card maybe. But I run Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and my GTX gives me 90 to 100fps. So it tells me it is okay. I totally confused now.. :(
@@TechFinds I played dota 2 and destiny 2. The only game that I have that needs heavy work is GR breakpoint. If it is about the game I already followed how to configure nvidia control panel, update driver and even Lowering down the game display settings. I hope I can give you a screenshot of My system. :(
@@cyrilkevinmorales3651 it would be good if you test other heavy games like GTA V, Battlefield V or even Fortnite. The GPU should run at 100% with those games but if it doesn't you can contact Acer support to check your system and find out what's the problem. Other than that it may be as you said defective GPU.

Who the hell uses MAX settings in CSGO? You're intentionally lowering the fps....... 1920x1080 with everything on low settings, except shadows which is set high, that's competitve gaming for you and it looks good.
If you have 120Hz or 144Hz display you will see only this much frames anyway, so it's pointless to have 200+ or 300 fps in game. I am not e-sport player, i just wanna show how much fps you'll get with this laptop in games at maximum possible settings to get at least 60fps.
Tech Finds esport players wants smoothness and "feel" the games responsiveness. Otherwise I agree on ingame fps doesn’t register above the refreshrate of the screen, but more fps feels better when it comes to the mouse and screen tearing. V-sync and g-sync slows down and gives input lag which we do not want. CSGO is one of the very few games that high fps is advantageous.
I have the same laptop. But some games like NFS Heat, Grid 2019 run at 30fps even though the GPU is supposed to run it at 60fps+. Any issue that i should know about ?
@@TechFinds I always plug in and play and also keep it on Turbo preset. Watch Dogs 2 is dropping below 30fps on all settings. Doesnt matter if its Ultra,Very High or High, Its the same 30fps below drops. Same with NFS Heat, Its dropping frames even though its not supoosed to.
@@akshaydsilva3646 unfortunately I don't know what may be the cause of that problem. The last thing I can suggest is to check if these games run on integrated or dedicated graphics.
@@TechFinds I have set my games to run on Nvidia High Performace through the control panel, and there have been no changes in performance. Forza Horizon 4 run at Ultra but at 43fps average. Forza Horizon 3 runs even worse with 35fps average. GTA V runs at 35fps average at Ultra.
Not really, there are better laptops if you pay a but more ar similar price. For example 2019-2020 Acer Predator Helios 300 with GTX 1660Ti and i7 or MSI GL65. However if you find this TUF FX505 at a good price it's a good budget laptop in general

@@StegoZ Usually the GPU is a bottleneck. I think that Ryzen 3750H is more than enough for GTX 1660Ti, but you would get better performance with Intel i5 or i7 anyway due to architecture differences. It depends on game though

It will be enough for these games, but ofc expect lower fps and with more demanding games you will probably need to drop graphics settings a bit

Ensure that you don't have any FPS cap on GPU or in game. Also make sure that the game runs on dedicated graphics and the laptop is plugged in.

Niestety nie będę w stanie zrobić recenzji ani żadnych porównań z tym laptopem. Testowałem go dawno temu i pogubiłem pliki... Został mi tylko gameplay który widać na filmie bo zapisałem go w innym miejscu.
Więc gdybym miał powiedzieć parę słów o tym laptopie to jest dość lekki i kompaktowy, cooling ma dobry i wyświetlacz był też całkiem niezły jak na budżetowego laptopa. W Polsce prawdopodobnie jest 60Hz, ale się dowiedz jeśli zamierzasz kupić. Jak widać po testach Ryzen 7 ma o wiele słabsze osiągi w porównaniu do nawet Intel i5 w niektórych grach, np Watch Dogs 2 czy CS:GO. Niektóre gry lepiej działają na Intelu. Ogólnie osiągi oceniłbym na przyzwoite i pewnie poleciłbym tego laptopa jeszcze wcześniej zanim wyszedł na przykłąd taki 2019 Acer Predator Helios 300, który jest droższy, ale chyba warto dołożyć ten 1000zł więcej za taką różnicę w osiągach + o wiele lepsze funkcje/podzespoły/wykonanie z jakimi przychodzi Helios. Zamiast tego Asusa też warto rozważyć Lenovo Legion Y540 z GTX 1660Ti, który w Polsce kosztuje chyba około tyle samo co TUF FX505, a też ma lepsze osiągi.

You can play as many hours as you like. The temperatures will be between 80 and 90 as in every gaming laptop with decent cooling.

The laptop should run games on dedicated graphics by default. If not, go to Nvidia control pannel and change that. For the screen refresh rate go right click on desktop > intel graphics settings > display > choose refresh rate

Ten laptop akurat się nie grzał w moim przypadku i ma to sens, bo jest on wyposażony w procesor AMD, który 35W power limit w porównaniu do Intela, które mają 45W. Ale być może ludzie mówią tak przez złą reputację poprzedniej wersji "FX504" który był tragiczny. 90 stopni zobaczysz od czasu do czasu w prawie każdym laptopie, ważne żeby temperatura nie utrzymywała się powyżej cały czas. Cooling pad wiele tutaj nei zmieni, bo ten laptop ma małe wloty powietrza pod spodem. Jeśli ten model się grzeje to prawdopodobnie przez tanią pastę termoprzewodzącą albo przez jej nieprawidłowe zaaplikowanie.

It's a gpu problem, you are running the games on your AMD integrated chip, an d that cause fps drops, don't worry it can be fixed. I had the same problem.

The temperatures of my unit were not so high, mostly low 80's. Below 90 is good.
As for the battery it's up to 4.5h of normal use.
I have the same laptop, but I have one problem with it, the CPU overheat a lot, with a lot of spikes in temperature(100-105 celsius) and the CPU is not even used at full potential only 50-60%. Can you tell me if yours is like mine? with temperature and usage?
Mine had maximum about 87 degrees but usually stayed between 80 and 85. There's definietely something wrong with your unit and i suspect that maybe they screwed up the thermal paste application in the factory or one of your fans is not working. You have to find it out.

I had Predator with GTX 1660Ti and Legion Y540 with 1660Ti as well. According to my tests Predator was performing slightly better, so i think that it will be the same for models with RTX 2060.

If you have 120Hz monitor and more you should be able to switch to 60Hz. But if you have 60Hz monitor then this is the only option usually.

I can't imagine what you mean saying that screen is moving slowly. First you can try to turn on V-Sync in game and see if it solves the problem.

Lol the settings were maxed out. The highest possible. Scar 3 should double the fps you're getting. Are you sure you play on turbo mode enabled? This game is CPU dependant, so you need to enable more CPU power by setting turbo mode.
Single channel or dual channel ram? Asus is pretty notorious for using 1x16 GB sticks in their configurations. Drives me crazy some companies do this.
If you only have 1 stick, add another stick and you'll see a big performance increase in a CPU dependant game like CS:GO.

Can't tell by this model name. You have to confirm that with the seller since there are many different configurations. However if it's the one with GTX 1650 it most likely has 60Hz. Some of 1660Ti models come with 60Hz too.
I have the same computer, but I get 58 fps very rarely in pubg. most of the time I get 20 to 30 fps. and because it doesn't appear 1080p in the game settings, I enter manually. what should I do?
Check the temperatures and see if thermal or power limit throttling occurs. That may explain performance loss. Also make sure that you're not playing when on battery and check if PUBG is not running on integrated GPU

Well its said that is 5-10 % diffrence between R7 and and i5 8 series (depend on rig ) but in reality this laptop has better fire strike resoults than my old stationary pc with i7 3770 K , GTX 1070 16 gb by 1800 points and hit 11852 with is way better than in you tube tests . Also crushing i7 7 series i heard so is not that bad procesor with lower TDP 45 Watts instead of 65 and lower temps like 70- 80 instead of 90+ on i7 s .

I bought the same model (gtx 1660ti ryzen 7 3750h 8gb of ram and 256gb ssd) and i installed and unofficial copy of windows 10 pro from my cousin.
I wanted to download the nvidia gpu drivers but it said it's incompatible and it doesn't recognize the gpu.
In the bios the gpu is shown, but in the device manager it's just the vega 10 graphics. Do you have any idea what i can do?

Unfortunately I don't know the answer. This laptop has unusual mix of Ryzen CPU and Nvidia GPU. Try to install GeForce Experience and update graphics drivers using it. If I remember good there's also a separate tool from Nvidia to update graphics drivers, but I don't know the name.
@@TechFinds Thx for answering but GeForce experience doesn't work neither, now the integrated gpu is shown in the device manager (rx Vega 10) but the other option is Microsoft basic display adapter, not my 1660ti. Apparently both need drivers, but the app Driver Booster 7 says everything is fine. The other app, driver easy, installed some other drivers like the wifi and rgb keyboard. But when i boot it up there's a pop up saying configuring your computer.
If i somehow get an official licensed copy, could it solve the problem?
@@darius4748 Official OS still will be clean without any software from Asus, so i think that it will not solve the problem. The problem is lack of the things from Asus you should have got with the laptop.

Hi Guys ! and Tech Finds! I have the same laptop with 1660Ti, I am playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint but I am just getting 11fps or sometimes lower. So I tried Disabling my radeon RX graphics and dedicate the work to GTX 1660ti at first the game is really doing fine but after a few days. the game with 1660ti only running is playing in 3 fps only. Any advice ? Thank you!
So did the laptop switch back to Radeon graphics again? Try to set it back to GTX 1660Ti so you can confirm that it's just because of switching the graphics card.

I find that it gives all the work to the CPU and my GTX got only 3% of the graphic processing. So I assume that I have a Defective GTX card maybe. But I run Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and my GTX gives me 90 to 100fps. So it tells me it is okay. I totally confused now.. :(
@@cyrilkevinmorales3651 have you tested if it happens in other games as well? It may be that it's because of the game
@@TechFinds I played dota 2 and destiny 2. The only game that I have that needs heavy work is GR breakpoint. If it is about the game I already followed how to configure nvidia control panel, update driver and even Lowering down the game display settings. I hope I can give you a screenshot of My system. :(
@@cyrilkevinmorales3651 it would be good if you test other heavy games like GTA V, Battlefield V or even Fortnite. The GPU should run at 100% with those games but if it doesn't you can contact Acer support to check your system and find out what's the problem. Other than that it may be as you said defective GPU.

Because this game doesn't like AMD processors at all. And it's heavily CPU dependant.

The CPU in laptops is usually aroud 75-90 degrees. If constantly higher than 90 then it's not good.

go to the app, it will show the temp and it even give you the option to change the cooling for better performance

hey I am using the same model of laptop as well, but my screen is only 60Hz, and apparently some of the games like RDR2 can only runs up to 40 fps, is it because of my screen?
Screen doesn't affect the performance at all. RDR2 is very demanding game.

Who the hell uses MAX settings in CSGO? You're intentionally lowering the fps....... 1920x1080 with everything on low settings, except shadows which is set high, that's competitve gaming for you and it looks good.
If you have 120Hz or 144Hz display you will see only this much frames anyway, so it's pointless to have 200+ or 300 fps in game. I am not e-sport player, i just wanna show how much fps you'll get with this laptop in games at maximum possible settings to get at least 60fps.
Tech Finds esport players wants smoothness and "feel" the games responsiveness. Otherwise I agree on ingame fps doesn’t register above the refreshrate of the screen, but more fps feels better when it comes to the mouse and screen tearing. V-sync and g-sync slows down and gives input lag which we do not want. CSGO is one of the very few games that high fps is advantageous.

I have the same laptop. But some games like NFS Heat, Grid 2019 run at 30fps even though the GPU is supposed to run it at 60fps+. Any issue that i should know about ?
The most common reason is that every laptop has 30fps limit when playing games on battery. You have to plug it in.
@@TechFinds I always plug in and play and also keep it on Turbo preset.
Watch Dogs 2 is dropping below 30fps on all settings. Doesnt matter if its Ultra,Very High or High, Its the same 30fps below drops.
Same with NFS Heat, Its dropping frames even though its not supoosed to.
@@akshaydsilva3646 unfortunately I don't know what may be the cause of that problem. The last thing I can suggest is to check if these games run on integrated or dedicated graphics.
@@TechFinds I have set my games to run on Nvidia High Performace through the control panel, and there have been no changes in performance.
Forza Horizon 4 run at Ultra but at 43fps average.
Forza Horizon 3 runs even worse with 35fps average.
GTA V runs at 35fps average at Ultra.

Not really, there are better laptops if you pay a but more ar similar price. For example 2019-2020 Acer Predator Helios 300 with GTX 1660Ti and i7 or MSI GL65. However if you find this TUF FX505 at a good price it's a good budget laptop in general
