Now, a few minutes in, Gekyume asks you personal questions, questions only you, yourself, can answer. While Gekyume is talking, x is making his way towards a casket with his own body in it. But the message x tries to explain is that the old, violent xxxtentacion is gone. X killed his past self. This explains his white hair phase where he shaved his eyebrows too. After a small snippet of X viewing himself, The video continues to show x and his mind talking. The figure in the robe is his thoughts. Once the song started playing, his old self was trying to fight him. After their small fight, they zoomed into x's eyes and into his mind, and x himself was rocking in a chair. He was rocking on the chair because hes fighting with his inner self. He was battling his past inside him. Middle: X bursts his old self through a door outside and seemingly knocks him out. His mind comes back into the picture, telling viewers that your mind is stronger than anything else you or others can control. X used his mind to fight his past. I think you guys missed the meaning of the last scene where x is sitting in the chair and the hooded figure is talking to him. After x kills his demon, it's a metaphor for him moving forward and evolving into something better. X can be satisfied with facing his demons and becoming a better person and leaving it at that, but he rejects: hooded figure: your demon seems to honor your efforts, are you satisfied? Then X jumps out of the chair and approaches the camera This shows that X isn't satisfied with only helping himself, he wants to inspire others to fight their inner demons too so he approaches the camera as to address every viewer to find the inspiration and do the same.

I'm late to party. I listened to SAD when it came out and ironically the date I listened to it, was the date I should have watched the video and paid more attention to the message instead of just reading lyrics and going "Oh this is a fire track" and putting it down. I've seen people debating the points of what the Video meant and what X was trying to say and I'd like to throw out what I've gathered from it all. I believe the common concept of him fighting his own demons is correct, but I believe its only the surface message that X intended. X was an amazing artist with a creative mindset and had a particular way of viewing the world that was very unique. I believe what the Dad saw in this Video, is the second half of the meaning of his Video. The revolutionary thinkers with similar mindset to X in this world like Ghandi and MLK, They did more in their death than they did when they were alive. It took them dying to wake the world up to what the entire message and this is what happened with X as well. X Himself had ideas and thoughts that embodied a higher level of thought like this "Gekyume". Which throughout history there has been people that have shared this line of thinking with beings like this that spread knowledge. Beings that had no language but conveyed messages through thought. The color and font and how it's perceived in media often is the thoughts and ideas of a person on screen instead of the white text which is usually spoken dialogue if anyone is familiar with subtitles. This coincides with the mumbled "Demon language" that Gekyume translates in his speech. So, yes I believe may have very well knew he was going to die and did as much as possible before that date to start the change that he wanted. The video though, yes his demons were tied to his past, which like most of us who have regrets in this world we can forgive ourselves but the memories that stay there reminding us and often plaguing us, hold us back from truly changing. Pulling us back into the old life either from guilt, depression or regret. The beginning of the video he views his old self in a casket and symbolizing its death, and his separation from it, but as you see while paying his last respects to his old way of life, being reminded of those memories, gives the demon life, and he comes back alive to pursue X. X is fueled by the desire to win just by "Killing the Demon" He does what many of us do, and handled the situation with violence and aggression. That demons just kept getting up and taking more abuse though. The second clip you see X, and how I view this is, his wardrobe changes to show he's physically in a peak of fitness and strength a lot of people with common say would be his prime (Let's not debate steroids or other stuff, you're distracting yourself). The demon fights back in this but The new X is obviously stronger and faster, making this a pretty uneven fight. Still even at a peak of physical prowess, the past isn't phased by it, and the demon is still there. It shows that even at your strongest, some problems aren't solved with sheer force, and even if you don't resemble anything of the person you once were the past can still haunt you if left without closure. The third part of this, is the most powerful I believe, because Gekyume tells him, They don't understand you, do you not fear? X was at one time like most who have followed him, know) had a lot of criminal activities and lived up to the common rapper/gangster stereotype in many ways. This is an image that is really hard to pull yourself away from, once someone has built up a reputation it is hard to think of them as nothing else. The new X was a great change that had a message that reached a lot of ears. There are many that before his death still didn't think anything of him other than the dude that beat up his girlfriend or robbed that guy. You can say, yeah I don't care, I don't are about who still thinks of me as that. It is that mindset and attitude that also keeps people from viewing you apart from the person you are trying to become. To put it in another way, and I don't want this to get political but he's a prime extreme example. If Donald Trump (Who has an obvious huge split in opinions on him) changed everything about the way he did things, and became awakened, for the sake of this analogy, was visited by Gekyume and became his new vessel (Not saying this is true, please focus) You can bet majority of the people who dislike him would not be convinced of it, no matter what he said or did past the point of giving up his old image. Sure, a few people would lend ears to the "New" Mindset he showed but you can bet the impact would be minimal. People were divided even after X had a genuine (I believe) Change of heart, things he did when he changed were looked at with suspicion, several believed it was just a ploy to get out of the trouble he was in. Hell, he couldn't even die without some people thinking that he would fake his own death as a publicity stunt just to show you how his image was still in the grey area. I believe that last part of the video reflects part of that as well. Gekyume says the most important line in the entire video. "Although you cannot pretend you have walked through life unscathed, it is your memories that hold you to the person that you were" X Reflects after changing himself so much he didn't even resemble his old self, and he went bruce lee on his demon, still contemplating why its not dead. Gekyume explains, You're not going to be able to walk through life, life the past didn't happen, referring to people's commenting commonly about oh you fucked up, just move on, forget it. Yeah, move on and forget it won't ever mean, you have to pretend it didn't happen, but the memories of you continuing to lament and reflect on the past, feeling the guilt about it, is what keeps that demon alive. Hanging onto the past for a lot means not forgiving yourself for the actions you did. Other people can forgive you, and that is a good part of the healing process but the most important aspect is Forgiving yourself first. Part of depression is always being reminded that oh I'm here now, but... What about that one time? It is what brings us back mentally to that moment and your mindset has so much more power over your physical being than many realize. The major thing keeping you in the past is continuing to dedicate part of your life to thinking about it, contemplating, and fueling that past with mental energy. The past can only still exist while people are reminded of it. The physical here and now comes and goes but memories will always remain as long as you allow them to. "To amount to the light you can become, you must understand the power of the mind" Put plainly, Yeah X, you can keep beating up your past, but until you understand you can change yourself physically as much as possible and get as strong as possible, but it is your mind that dictates everything you do and is the root of it all, it is your mind that keeps this alive." X's realization of this, you can see, is when he stopped apologizing and referring to his past life in his interviews and talks. He dedicated everything to what he was currently trying to accomplish instead of persistently trying to seek forgiveness or remind people he's sorry, reminding even them of his past deeds. Last part of the Video, you can see in his demeanor, he gets it, and realizes this concept that Gekyume gives to him. He throws the demon into a Wall with just a thought, and arguably doing more damage than he did prior to just beating him senseless. He just sits there with a look of amusement, at how powerless this thing became when he took control of his own thoughts and re-grounded himself removing all the negative energy and distractions. The first two rounds he put so much rage and energy into the fight only to realize this thing was just a punching bag that would never go down. It makes you realize how much time and energy you spend trying to escape what you're tortured by, and its that waste that not only keeps you there, but hinders you making distance from it. X casually walks up and motions, effortlessly, like "Sit down, you're done, you have no power anymore over me" Its then you see him having closure over his past, and putting it to rest like you would a body in the ground. That is at least what I took from all of it, and the meanings I've found through the video that seem to coincide with how I think. In the first few seconds of the video you get this creepy looking figure with only its eyes visible claiming that its name is Gekyume. Now, a few minutes in, Gekyume asks you personal questions, questions only you, yourself, can answer. While Gekyume is talking, x is making his way towards a casket with his own body in it. But the message x tries to explain is that the old, violent xxxtentacion is gone. X killed his past self. This explains his white hair phase where he shaved his eyebrows too. After a small snippet of X viewing himself, The video continues to show x and his mind talking. The figure in the robe is his thoughts. Once the song started playing, his old self was trying to fight him.
After their small fight, they zoomed into x's eyes and into his mind, and x himself was rocking in a chair. He was rocking on the chair because hes fighting with his inner self. He was battling his past inside him.
Middle:
X bursts his old self through a door outside and seemingly knocks him out. His mind comes back into the picture, telling viewers that your mind is stronger than anything else you or others can control. X used his mind to fight his past. This was him mentally healing himself.
End:
After the chaos, X lays his past self down knowing that he has won over and that he is cleansed. He is true to his word and he is powerful within. The message of that ending was to show he has changed.

I'm late to party. I listened to SAD when it came out and ironically the date I listened to it, was the date I should have watched the video and paid more attention to the message instead of just reading lyrics and going "Oh this is a fire track" and putting it down. I've seen people debating the points of what the Video meant and what X was trying to say and I'd like to throw out what I've gathered from it all.
I believe the common concept of him fighting his own demons is correct, but I believe its only the surface message that X intended. X was an amazing artist with a creative mindset and had a particular way of viewing the world that was very unique. I believe what the Dad saw in this Video, is the second half of the meaning of his Video.
The revolutionary thinkers with similar mindset to X in this world like Ghandi and MLK, They did more in their death than they did when they were alive. It took them dying to wake the world up to what the entire message and this is what happened with X as well. X Himself had ideas and thoughts that embodied a higher level of thought like this "Gekyume". Which throughout history there has been people that have shared this line of thinking with beings like this that spread knowledge. Beings that had no language but conveyed messages through thought. The color and font and how it's perceived in media often is the thoughts and ideas of a person on screen instead of the white text which is usually spoken dialogue if anyone is familiar with subtitles. This coincides with the mumbled "Demon language" that Gekyume translates in his speech. So, yes I believe may have very well knew he was going to die and did as much as possible before that date to start the change that he wanted.
The video though, yes his demons were tied to his past, which like most of us who have regrets in this world we can forgive ourselves but the memories that stay there reminding us and often plaguing us, hold us back from truly changing. Pulling us back into the old life either from guilt, depression or regret. The beginning of the video he views his old self in a casket and symbolizing its death, and his separation from it, but as you see while paying his last respects to his old way of life, being reminded of those memories, gives the demon life, and he comes back alive to pursue X.
X is fueled by the desire to win just by "Killing the Demon" He does what many of us do, and handled the situation with violence and aggression. That demons just kept getting up and taking more abuse though. The second clip you see X, and how I view this is, his wardrobe changes to show he's physically in a peak of fitness and strength a lot of people with common say would be his prime (Let's not debate steroids or other stuff, you're distracting yourself). The demon fights back in this but The new X is obviously stronger and faster, making this a pretty uneven fight. Still even at a peak of physical prowess, the past isn't phased by it, and the demon is still there. It shows that even at your strongest, some problems aren't solved with sheer force, and even if you don't resemble anything of the person you once were the past can still haunt you if left without closure.
The third part of this, is the most powerful I believe, because Gekyume tells him, They don't understand you, do you not fear? X was at one time like most who have followed him, know) had a lot of criminal activities and lived up to the common rapper/gangster stereotype in many ways. This is an image that is really hard to pull yourself away from, once someone has built up a reputation it is hard to think of them as nothing else. The new X was a great change that had a message that reached a lot of ears. There are many that before his death still didn't think anything of him other than the dude that beat up his girlfriend or robbed that guy. You can say, yeah I don't care, I don't are about who still thinks of me as that. It is that mindset and attitude that also keeps people from viewing you apart from the person you are trying to become.
To put it in another way, and I don't want this to get political but he's a prime extreme example. If Donald Trump (Who has an obvious huge split in opinions on him) changed everything about the way he did things, and became awakened, for the sake of this analogy, was visited by Gekyume and became his new vessel (Not saying this is true, please focus) You can bet majority of the people who dislike him would not be convinced of it, no matter what he said or did past the point of giving up his old image. Sure, a few people would lend ears to the "New" Mindset he showed but you can bet the impact would be minimal.
People were divided even after X had a genuine (I believe) Change of heart, things he did when he changed were looked at with suspicion, several believed it was just a ploy to get out of the trouble he was in. Hell, he couldn't even die without some people thinking that he would fake his own death as a publicity stunt just to show you how his image was still in the grey area. I believe that last part of the video reflects part of that as well. Gekyume says the most important line in the entire video.

X Reflects after changing himself so much he didn't even resemble his old self, and he went bruce lee on his demon, still contemplating why its not dead. Gekyume explains, You're not going to be able to walk through life, life the past didn't happen, referring to people's commenting commonly about oh you fucked up, just move on, forget it.
Yeah, move on and forget it won't ever mean, you have to pretend it didn't happen, but the memories of you continuing to lament and reflect on the past, feeling the guilt about it, is what keeps that demon alive. Hanging onto the past for a lot means not forgiving yourself for the actions you did. Other people can forgive you, and that is a good part of the healing process but the most important aspect is Forgiving yourself first. Part of depression is always being reminded that oh I'm here now, but... What about that one time? It is what brings us back mentally to that moment and your mindset has so much more power over your physical being than many realize. The major thing keeping you in the past is continuing to dedicate part of your life to thinking about it, contemplating, and fueling that past with mental energy. The past can only still exist while people are reminded of it. The physical here and now comes and goes but memories will always remain as long as you allow them to.
"To amount to the light you can become, you must understand the power of the mind" Put plainly, Yeah X, you can keep beating up your past, but until you understand you can change yourself physically as much as possible and get as strong as possible, but it is your mind that dictates everything you do and is the root of it all, it is your mind that keeps this alive." X's realization of this, you can see, is when he stopped apologizing and referring to his past life in his interviews and talks. He dedicated everything to what he was currently trying to accomplish instead of persistently trying to seek forgiveness or remind people he's sorry, reminding even them of his past deeds.
Last part of the Video, you can see in his demeanor, he gets it, and realizes this concept that Gekyume gives to him. He throws the demon into a Wall with just a thought, and arguably doing more damage than he did prior to just beating him senseless. He just sits there with a look of amusement, at how powerless this thing became when he took control of his own thoughts and re-grounded himself removing all the negative energy and distractions. The first two rounds he put so much rage and energy into the fight only to realize this thing was just a punching bag that would never go down. It makes you realize how much time and energy you spend trying to escape what you're tortured by, and its that waste that not only keeps you there, but hinders you making distance from it. X casually walks up and motions, effortlessly, like "Sit down, you're done, you have no power anymore over me" Its then you see him having closure over his past, and putting it to rest like you would a body in the ground.
That is at least what I took from all of it, and the meanings I've found through the video that seem to coincide with how I think. Thanks to anyone who actually takes the time to read this and gleans any bit of knowledge from it.

Okay so this is how the video goes, X thought his old self was dead whenever he had the black and yellow hair. He then realized his old self was coming back, his sort of bad ways and beef with any artist ways and "unhealthy ways" which is why he was wearing that specific hat. Notice if you are a true fan of him you would know that he first bought that hat out whenever he had white hair and he was beefing with the Migos. And then finally when he changed to blue hair as you saw him taking his hat off when his old self jumped out of the casket.
