1:36 lol, Ver switched from *"watashi"* (polite. often used in formal settings/meeting someone for the first time) to *"ore"* (non-polite. barely used when meeting someone for the first time), which is why Kotoka is apologizing for Ver because others might misunderstand that Ver is being rude to them.
also, at 2:44 Kotoka is correcting Ver because saying "ore" on someone who's higher than you (their sempais) is VERY rude
