I think this is an excellent instructional video for an oil pourer. I've only made a couple, and they were pretty small. So now I know how much clay to use and how wide to start the base for a decent sized bottle! And also, how to measure the opening for a good fitting spout!! And your calm voice makes it easy listening. 🙂Thank you, Audrey!
Thanks so much, Cariss! I am glad you liked the video. It's true, I do not have a piercing voice, and I am not much of a yacker! Sometimes, I think my throwing vids are bring because of that. It's nie to hear you think I am calming to lisen to. ❤️
@@AudreyLynnStudios I do like a calming voice and a nice pace to listen to. There are so many out there that just try to get as much information as possible in their 60 sec videos that it hurts my head. I then pass on them w/o listening. If they need to put that much info into a video, just make a longer one peeps 🫨
@@AudreyLynnStudios I love watching you, and the other TH-camrs. It keeps me inspired. I think all of us are good at what we make. I usually make mugs because that’s what I sell the most out of my shop. I only went back to making posts a couple years ago. ❤️
Loved the demo! I haven’t made one in a while. I use a shrink ruler to reverse engineer things and to measure the diameter. But I like your method also Audrey! Thanks for sharing!❤
Great video Audrey, thank you! You make it look easy, lovely shape. I just made my first oil bottles in the spring. I must admit I ended up with a few bud vases, as the oil spout didn’t fit! That’s the beauty of pottery! lol. I was told if you have a taller seat, you can actually get your piece taller. It seems to work, but I can’t cone as high as you do. So I try whatever I can! Have you ever heard of raising your seat?
My pleasure, Shawn. The bottle is now 7.5 inches high. SHAWN!...thank you so much for buying me the coffees. I surely was not expecting that. It's so kind of you! Thanks so much!

Oh, Joann, that is so sweet! Shawn asked how high it ended up. The finished product is 7.5 inches high. I hope the video helps. Thanks so much!
@@AudreyLynnStudios Yes, it helps. And I think that is a good height for a bottle. thanks for the reply. :0)
Great tutorial. Thank you! I personally would love to see the trimming of the bottle.
Thank you, Annie! OK, I will film when I trim it tomorrow. 🙂
@@AudreyLynnStudios Yay! Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your process. Your voice is so calming to listen to. 😊
Totally agree❤

Wonderful 😊 thank you. I love your glazes ❤
Thanks so much, Shelley!
I haven’t made bottles since 2015. Think I better start doing them. Thanks for the refresher course!
My pleasure, Deborah! You probably know more than I do, but thanks for watching!

@@anasclayhouse The shrink ruler is handier! I don't have one. Evertime I use Kevin's formula, I think of him more. Glad you enjoyed it, Ana.
Thank for this video.

@@Liseliselpottery No, I have not heard of raising the seat. Kind of makes sense. My first oil bottles were bud vases, too! Happy bottle making!
That’s an amazing , thank you for doing this video …. I’m going to give it a try !!!!! Just a question what was the height of the bottle …
