The saddest part of the shows ending was that Ekko never got to tell the real powder how he felt, and she’ll never know, whether she’s dead or she left in the airship. Ekko is the goat of this show.
What do you mean? You mention "whether she's dead or she left in the airship", so you've seen the finale of the season... Which means you saw the fight with Jinx and Ekko, their outfits, etc. Even without leaving the realm of what Arcane shows by itself, there is a lot that is heavily implied (understandably so given the fast pacing of the final act), such as them painting up their outfits to match in the intervening time between Ekko stopping her from blowing herself up and that final battle.
I don't think he actually feels the same toward powder in his dimension - but going to the alternate dimensions showed him that she wasn't meant to be some crazy, violent person - she was turned into that by the terrible world they come from and its possible that powder is still inside Jinx and that is worth trying to save.
@1dingerr pretty much all throughout Arcane Ekko's encounters with jinx, he will fight Jinx, but he is hesitant to seriously hurt her. He understands that Powder and Jinx are the same person, that's why when he first sees Powder in the alternate universe, he freaks out. He sees the person that he knows is Jinx. I think my question would be, if there was a limit to how many rewinds Ekko would attempt to try and save her, what would that limit be. Or, would he have continued indefinitely trying to save her in that moment for as long as his body held out

I'm French and when I heard the song, I almost cried. 😭. I think ekko is the mvp of Arcane, he could staying in the alternative world but he leave it, he lost everything.

Its crazy that Ekko gets so little screentime but is easily in the top 3 chars in Arcane. True heroisim is doing the right thing when its the absolute hardest thing. He couldve stayed there. He couldve had everything he ever wanted. Benzo. Powder. A happy world. One without bloodshed. But he couldnt ever do that, simply because it wasnt right.

infos messy but i think some of the writers / creators have said the finale was meant to be much longer but they had to cut it down cause of netflix's time restraints. Also said that ekko and our jinx originally had a lot more screen time together in episode 9.

@moonlit_sky127 I feel like the writers dident create a satisfying ending on purpose because they knew that they were going to create spinoffs, so its kinda sad that it will never happen. Although if I were to rewrite the ending of jinxs, I would make it so that instead of faking her death, she blasted her leg, amputeting her so that the monster falls, then dropping the bomb so it finally dies. I know this probably sounds stupid, but I dont really know any other alternatives that seem satisfying that isn't the monster just slipping🤷♂️ In terms of how that rest would go, I would finally create a good ending with Jinxs and ekko that involved them dancing just like episode 7. I heard that a lot of people thought that was just a filler episode, and tying it back with this would make it feel more complete, in my opinion. Anyway, this is how the scene would play out. We see Ekko, but this time in a more formal fashion, not like episode 7 but in a little more his style. From the tough crowd, there appears to be what seems blue hair. There's the shot of her criss cross walking, but this time with a robotic leg colored in her usual crazy style. The next shot shows her in a wide view. She has removed her brades and is instead her long shiver of hair flowing all throughout. Ekko and Jinx see each other, Ekko sees that Jinks is a little more timid than usual. She isn't used to this kind of ambiance. Ekko stretches his hand, "Come on, just follow my pase." Jinx kinda hesitates at first but inevitably gives in. The same song as episode 7 is used, but this time, it is completely in piano. Jinxs dance moves aren't as fluent as in episode 7, but with ekko as guidance, she starts getting more comfortable. The soft piano drives the scene, showing that this is more intimate than when Ekko was with the other Jinx. It's also not in 4 frames per second, showing that Ekko doesn't want to go back in time and is perfectly comfortable with the present. The final shot comes to an end as both Jinx and Ekko share their first kiss. To me this is more of a definitive ending and much MUCH more satisfying, but of course that's because I wrote it.
