Great video presentation, I'm about to get the 650RE SM but need to upgrade to the YSS shocks, like the 5mm(2" lift in height length). I'm black is a must for me! Very nice review. With only 1100 miles on the bike, for now, I've found that with my 170# (77kg) + gear weight with the shocks set at position 3 of 4 and both tires at 36# that the ride is tolerable. Looking forward to the belt drive video upgrade. Will you video the install also? I believe that the belt drive will be my next upgrade.
I´ll see once the belt drive arrives, but yes, I think I´ll include the install somehow... it´s always helpful for me when I see in advance what the process takes...
Replaced the shock on my R E Scram 411 with a YSS Topline unit with a 75nm spring ( I'm 65 kg ) and the improvement in comfort is very noticeable. The stock shock was hurting my back, all better now !
Opět hezké video, v testu po 2.500km jste zadní tlumiče zmiňoval. Neuvažoval jste o přenastavení útlumu u originálních tlumičů?? Sedly si i ty nové a bylo ještě nutné provést zásah do nastavení??
Ahoj, u těch originálních jde nastavit pouze předpětí pružiny ve 4 (myslím) stupních. Útlum ne - aspoň tam na to není žádné "štelovátko". Ty nové mi přijde že začaly fungovat hned od začátku - jak jsem je vybalil, tak jsem je namontoval a jezdím na nich doteď (8 tis. km) - a spokojenost!
@@SlowRiderCZ Děkuji za překlad, tvé poslední video mělo zase angl. titulky a tak jsem pátral na netu a zjistil jsem, že by překlad měl automaticky fungovat televize mi překlad do češtiny nenabídla ale PC jo a tak je můj problém s titulky vyřešen. Tak se omlouvám. 🙂
Hi! Thanks for compliment. It´s all about countersteering and throttle. There are plenty tutorials online, and I don´t feel myself as an expert for bike ride ;-) Super Meteor is not the type of bike that would allow you too much lean... but it got better with new shocks.

Nebál bych se ani o 5 mm delších... ale je to věc preference a vzhledu biku - někomu se líbí snížený vzhled, já preferuji praktičnost...
You said the length can be changed , can you change the length after they are fitted , rather than buy shorter ones ? I’m looking to change mine but I’m still in two minds , should I buy the same length or the 20mm shorter ones. But if your ones are adjustable that solves the problem. One more thing, did you have the bike on an abba stand when you changed them? Tia!
They are adjustable, but you need to take them off the bike. But it´s a simple process - takes about 10 minutes to get them out and back. You can change them on a central stand. No need to have anything special...
Beautiful modification. My Super Meteor 650 rear shocks are very bad as you mentioned. I wanted to install the Longer 365mm - YSS shocks, like the ones you have installed (360mm + (5mm)). will these fit? Please could you advise: thanks
Hi Jorge, I think 365 is way too much. Mine are 320mm, length adjustable. With the current knowledge I would go for 325, no length adjusting. But 365 is way too much, I think. It depends what you want to achieve, though…

What are the complete specs for the suspension.. for a nob like me the YSS page seemed like goto school of motorcycles shout..I just need specs of Super Meteor 650
They now have a set specifically made for SM 650. At the time I got mine, this wasn´t available, plus I wanted the longer ones - so I got RZ-MO-362-TRL-BLK set. Write an e-mail to YSS dealer, they´ll be able to help you!
My super meteor rear shocks are bad, this is a great news. I wanted to go for longer shocks at the rear like yours, are these 365mm in length - YSS. Please could you let me know. Thank you
I think you need a shorter ones on Shotgun. I´ve not ridden that bike yet, but I assume the stock suspension won´t be much better compared to Super Meteor, so YSS will definitely be an upgrade!

5mm is not the same as 2", my friend. 5cm (=50mm) is the equivalent of 2". 🙏🏾

At 70-80 kmp/h if you go on a bumpy road with even a Ducati Multistrada would not suffice you.

Hi, I have got 320 mm ones (and I could adjust them +/- 5mm). I think 365 would be way too long, I´d be afraid this would influence bikes geometry.

Part number of the suspension?
RZ-MO-362-TRL-BLK is specifically the one I´ve ordered. It´s a custom length and +/-5mm adjustable...
