Good review, just bought one on Amazon, I also have a L200 and they look the same , but nice its from amazon this time. Keep up the gr8 reviews of resonable priced drones for us retired ol men who just love the hobby.
Thanks for your great reviews. About 3 years ago, you reviewed the SG907 max and I bought one about 2 years ago after seeing that. Seems this WeFone one has all the same working and capability with slightly different style. I think that the SG907 has a better controller interface so I bought 2 new batteries to enjoy it all over again.
You know, I've watched many videos of this certain drone. Yours and a couple more people tell how good it is. There are few other TH-camrs that have a lot of followers and review a lot of drones that doesn't give this one great review. They recommend some other well-known drones that I think are substandard to this one. 4K video only works good if it's in 30 fps or lower. Anything higher than this, the video is jerky. That's what I like about this drone. It might not be 4K but it's a lot smoother than most of the 4K drones under 400 dollars out there. I would say from all the reviews I've watched that it is one of the best drones out there that has a gimbal under 400 dollars Great review. Thank you.
It is almost look alike LYZRC L200 pro max the same size same camera and same remote model the difference is they dont have OAS i like that kind of drone nice reviews sir...

@@Quadcopter101 The "Calibrations" available for these drones etc only effect the compass and what the gyros see as "Level" - the overhead satellite constellation is what tells it where in the world it is and is the reason the drone may take quite some time to get a fix first time up. It has to acquire the new very different details of its new location without any help from the remembered almanac stored on the GPS unit. For this you also need to have the little battery for memory holding on the GPS charged up properly. After that, if you don't shift too far, the satellites will be acquired very quickly at each start-up. Compass Calibration should be done well away from any magnetic materials or iron (like reobar in a concrete slab) otherwise the Compass may well be very unreliable. Hence "toilet bowling" flight. Explanation for the uninitiated only, Old Mate! 😉😊
Hello again, after 10 years since my last comment. Great presentation of the WeFone WF40. I have a question, if I may ask...In your video, you speak of "capturing" and saving the video on your smartphone. How do you actually accomplish this? I am aware of saving videos on the micro SD card (and have done this) but am unaware of how to capture to the smartphone. Is it simply a matter of capturing using the Apps record button, as opposed to the controller button?
This drone primarily records 2560 x 1440 pixel video directly to a memory card which may be installed into the drone. This is a good thing. Some other lower cost drones do not have memory card recording capability. For those drones, the video is automatically sent and recorded to your phone by the app via the drone's WiFi signal. However, WiFi recorded video can be (and usually is) very problematic, with dropped frames and frozen or lost video.
@@Quadcopter101 . Well, I finally figured out the problem with pics and videos not saving. I still cannot get files to save to the SD card...period. However, by sheer accident, I found that this drone has saved every video and picture I took with it to my smartphone's internal memory!! And after I was told by WeFone that the drone will not save files to the phone. Really? At least my images DID save, albeit in the wrong place. That and it took a return of the first drone to Amazon and a replacement to arrive for me to figure it out! Talk about frustration. It still will not save files to the SD card no matter what, but for the price I bought this drone for and because of its other good qualities, I am satisfied. This is good information for other buyers of this product, so they can avoid pulling their hair out and also a caveat for prospective buyers.
@@rayr1444 Reformat the card to Fat32 and use a maximum of 32GB card. Also remember to stop the video before powering down the drone or the video will not be saved. If all that does not help, then you have a non-working card or card writer. Try without the App and phone connected. Quite often things on these el-cheapos don't work as in the sales blurb. This is a re-branded LYZRC L200 Pro Max I believe. Best of luck.😉😊
I was considering getting a drone over the 250, so I decided that I would registers a drone I have that is under the 250 just to see if it was as easy as I was hoping, but discovered that it was a real hassle to register a drone. I thought it would be easy by answering a few questions and paying the $5, but I guess not! Perhaps I am doing something wrong or going about it incorrectly! Can someone give a guide on how to easily register a drone in the US?
I would recommend avoiding a drone over 250 grams. These days, there are many very capable drones under 250 grams, making registration unnecessary. But if your heart is set on that heavier drone, you may register here by first creating an account with the FAA faadronezone-access.faa.gov/#/register Once registered, launch the "Drone owner and pilots dashboard". Select "Recreational flyer dashboard", then click on "Manage device inventory". Click on "Add device". Then select whether your drone has built-in remote ID, or not. Then enter the requested information on the window (Device type, nickname, manufacturer, and model). If your device has built-in RID, then also enter the drone's serial number.
I got this one coming instead. It's a much better plane, larger and has a more powerful brushless motor. usa.banggood.com/custlink/mGKidwfoA8?title=P51D
@@Quadcopter101 With $50 off and two batteries I guess it is OK from Amazon. I paid $123 for my L200 with 2 batteries and the funny obstacle avoidance thing ( for what it's worth)
@@Quadcopter101 Well yes I know people like to order from Amazon. But is it worth paying double the price or more? Instead of the best drone under $100 it becomes a 'not that great' drone the money. Takes away much of the fun. For $100 more you can buy a DJI Mini 4k. So I rather take a small risk and try get a refund when the product does have an issue. It is exactly the fact you can return it just because you don't like it why it is so expensive on Amazon. You're paying for someone else's poor judgement and how should I call it, vinegar pissing mentality when it isn't perfect.

I'm pretty sure that I'm the real QC101.
Bro is literally testing every rc controlled vehicle on the market😂
Will it work with 802.11ax?? Which is better than 802.11ac
Yes, it will work fine with 802.11ax. But it doesn't work very well with 802.11n which has a slower data transmission rate.
Will a drone allow you to calibrate gyro and compass folded, it seems that would be easier.
I'm not sure. Bringing the metal motors closer to the body might have some effect on the compass calibration.
Love it )
