as a regular there - this is a very busy late morning - the crowd in the square is a bigger than usual (it can get very busy) but it can't be that hot as there would usually be more in the water. Several great spots along the Adelaide coastline like this. Semaphore, Grange (less shops etc), Henley, Glenelg, Brighton and Pt Noarlunga - all truly awesome to visit.

1:53 - Banana Man! He’s a popular street performer, he’s been around the country (including my city, Melbourne). He was on a Channel 7 news story about fellow US performer Basketball Man.

I grew up down there, and even though I've lived in Perth for the last 30 years, I still get home sick when I see stuff like this.

I've never been to Henley Beach before but some commentary would help 😮

As an ex Adelaide resident, I dispute the famous claim about Henley beach. The most famous beach is without a doubt Maslins beach. It’s famous for being Australia’s first official nude beach. No bigger claim to fame than that.

Must admit that as a Gold Coast resident I've never heard of Henley Beach. Adelaide isn't exactly thought of as a tourist destination, except as a transit point for going up into the hills or Barossa. The beach looks good enough for the locals though it seems.

Henley Beach was the most boring, dowdy place, alla British seaside, until a Greek restaurant opened there in the early eighties and started its transition to one of the most desirable and foodie destination coastal areas, not only in South Australia, but indeed in Australia. To this day many of the buildings and businesses are owned by Greek-Australians who can proudly take credit for transforming the area. A little bit of the Mediterranean Down Under!

I lived there around about 2000 when they started turning it into a yuppie beach . They took away the fish and chip shop and put in a fish restaurant they weren't very happy with me and my mates turned up in shorts and thongs with towels and sat down at a table lol To commercial for me

Needs flower boxes etc etc ...something far too exotic for the bland Australian mind.
