Nice... I'm old school, and had my first bug way back in 77 when I was 17... so really old school.. It was a 1961 Beetle and I loved it. I bought a 64, and eventually combined the two. This was early Cal Look when most folks had no idea what it even meant..especially up in Nrthn Calif. I'm 61 and have owned more cars than I can count. Muscle cars, Cruisers, etc. But none were as much fun as my bug... You got a nice one brother, I'm a little jealous...;-) It's nice to see the dual split mufflers. They were the thing to have back in my day. Don't see 'em much anymore. They are definitely the best way to go for appearance and performance on the street. I remember the day I installed my first stinger exaust.. I went around the block to test how it sounds, when I got back home a cop followed me right up into my driveway and wrote me a ticket for my exhaust. I had to take it off right then.. The good ole days.. Keep up the great work bro, you've got a sweet ride and thanks for sharing.....J
Another great video. Curios what you where doing on carbs. By the way use a rubber pad for your knees. I use to do the same and beat them up. Just had knee replacement.
@@volkstroke muchas gracias, creo que necesito 3.88 ya que siento que le falta una 5ta velocidad, ya a 70-75 millas siento que el motor va muy revolucionado aproximadamente 4500 rpm, hablas español?
@@volkstroke yup, that’s what i was thinking as well. I kept the rpms low to save gas when idling but i haven’t been liking the oil pressure gauge needle being way down there. Thanks for the fast response even on your older videos. Much Appreciated !!
That's some awesome induction noise!!! Just can't beat the sound of a good na engine
That’s reversion noice that is what you hear when your carburetors are too big for your engine

Congratzzzz! Nice car!
That sounds 👌🏻 🔥
Thats a bad ass car!
Sounds 💥
That sound! Wow. Why the heat shield on the inside of the decklid? To stop the paint cracking, protect the fibreglass?
I Had a 1968 Modified Super Beetle 🪲 With 1835 Dual Delortoes… Ran 130 MPH I Miss It
Unforgettable
48's !! sound of music!!

Still sounds like a bag of nails, that there is a clean trailer queen. All show and no go.!

Felicidades, mi auto tiene una 2054cc con transmision 4.12, que transmision usas 3.88?

Air hug
Two bad he's selling it I love this 65 $40,000 to steep for me
Very nice bug, what tire sizes are you running, front /back?
Idk that’s been gone for a while it’s most likely a 145 and 165 i normally run way bigger ones in the back
@@volkstroke yeah, i want to cal style look. Wasnt sure if 195's work on stock width BRM's
@@Thomzombie303 I have 235s under the stock fenders
Looks like T.O. area.
Fast!!
It’s a putter
Sounds Saweeet! I noticed the idle kinda high at almost 1200rpm. My 48s idle around 850rpm. Should i bump up the idle to around 1000rpm or higher??
I always put them at 1100 better oil pressure and cooling
@@volkstroke yup, that’s what i was thinking as well. I kept the rpms low to save gas when idling but i haven’t been liking the oil pressure gauge needle being way down there. Thanks for the fast response even on your older videos. Much Appreciated !!
My oval idles at 1500
Does the dual quiet packs hurt the HP potential?
Yes by a lot
15 to 20
I was told by gene berg that there was no benefit to the lower horsepower motors , 150 and up they work
Listen to those Weber's bark gggggrrrroooowwwwlll
Reversion the sound of you put too big of a carburetor on your vw
👿🏁👏👏👏👏
Parabéns pelo carro
Você prefere turbo ou aspirado?
Aspirado any day
Don’t tune it with the rear jacked up.. the fuel tank is in the front so it struggles more to get fuel with the rear end up 😮
That doesn’t matter
Where are the police when you need them ?
Idk
That poor motor can't exhale with those quite packs. All the air in, half out.
The other way around too much carb not enough head
