It's better if you set the speed to 1.25x. (Ok, it then sounds choppy, but the original tempo is like being strangled very slowly.) The vibrato also tends toward the too-wide half the time (though not nearly as bad as in his more recent old-age performance, which also has ridiculously syrupy slides all over the place.) Mikyung Sung is far more engaging musically in this, with much better phrasing, pacing, and expression in every way.

This was the first Gary Karr recording I ever got. Still love it. Thanks for uploading this - it sounds great from vinyl.
