XL and Coker were great pickups this season. It gets overshadowed by the rest of our poor acquisitions, but if we can have a good draft this year and find more gems, we have to see success moving forward.

We can't expect the Oline to hold blocks 4ever. Bryce was only sacked twice vs Denver & those sacks were on him. That oline has been playing well this year. If everything gotta be perfect for you to succeed, you aren't that guy to begin with.

Hes been benched, didnt have a training camp, and you expect him to come in vs the BRONCOS DEFENSE and perform lights out? Dude, they got stomped by the commanders be real.
Whats the point of watching a podcast with two experts just to completely disregard their analysis?
Just like palmer said, someone will pick him up. They are prob sitting in a room right now saying 'Hes young, hes got some bad habits, its not looking good, but then again....hes on the panthers' LMFAO. @@guibblegabble1280 No not wrong. Analytics show that largely sacks are a QB stat not a line stat. Even a lot of the "pressure" Bryce saw was his own doing. Due to his dog doo doo pocket awareness and pocket movement he causes more pressure than should be. It's no coincidence that Icky's worse games this year are with Bryce as the QB just as a lot of the sacks he gave up last year were because of Bryce at QB.

There’s only one I’d have confidence in and even he doesn’t really look better than Bryce was in college. Bryce should get at minimum the rest of the season. If he doesn’t show any progress by the end then moving on will be at least somewhat reasonable. Don’t want to give up on another qb that will leave to play great ball. The org is the problem and it’s clear as day

no offense to Steve on this but that wasnt a designed screen play at the 3min mark. It was a misdirection. It works similar to a RPO, it is suppposed to bring the linebackers down and away from the play so that the middle of the field opens up for the 2 receivers running the layered over routes.
Now I know you all are going to think "Steve Smith is a football player, you are not." I understand that rebuttle. However, three indicators that I am leaning into:
    1. We ran this exact play in the Bengals game
    2. Both Sanders and XL are looking back for the ball. On designed screen plays your receivers are looking for a body to engage, not back for the ball.
    3. Lastly, the pocket never moves for a screen play. All linemen maintain their position to protect the QB not block for a screen.

The Panthers under tepper are such a demoralized team and they are missing 2 years of what should have been very talented draft classes. Since tepper failed to see the rare leadership offered by Coach Wilks the team has totally crashed in the void of leadership. Football is a true team sport as every players performance and effort directly affects the ability of every other player to have success. Bryce has not had a chance and can't even be evaluated yet. His consistent college performance and his interviews prove him to be stable and capable. It's all about the team and the frame of mind of all players and not just one. If we send Bryce to a stable team with leadership and talent he will succeed, if he were to go to another lost team he would struggle. The way forward is to support him with everything we have. Then trade that #1 pick down hopefully 3 or 4 times and load the roster with as much young talent as possible. Maybe year after next we can have a good team. tepper really set us back years by throwing a nice kid into the worst situation an NFL team has experienced in years and totally spoiled what real leadership could have turned into a rookie contract window.

I'm 2 plays into this video and the talking point is the pressure supposedly let up by the offensive line. But what's completely ignored is that both plays had a pocket Bryce could step up into. Would have made both throws easier and would have avoided potential pressure. Neither play did he step up which is an on going problem of his.

@@gr3415 So you're saying the #1 prospect who Carolina traded for who was lauded for his mental portion of the game and being pro ready and who was supposed to be the best guy out there is mentally broken after 1 season. That now he's incapable of stepping up into a perfectly clean pocket? That sounds like an utter bust to me who shouldn't be playing football then which makes DC benching him the right decision.

Yeah...he was "really" balling haha. You clowns act like anyone can play well on this team.
Also, I don't want to hear about the Raiders defense that Andy Dalton ran through. Their defense is trash. It's like saying Caleb Williams has been great when his only good games was the panthers/jags defense.
