This is a one of Metallica's best songs in my opinion. It has something in it that just grabs the listener and holds down their attention for the full 8min and 20secs. The guitars are really playing their part in giving this song that atmospheric sound, while James just takes the audience on a lyrical drive through his mind.
Give the Load album a listen again......
I tried my best to get that same feeling and sound that you can hear on the load album. The slide guitar part is a picked as I wasn't completely happy with the way I played the slide part using a battery....Yes, I have to make a plan right? I also took out the old Dime Cry Baby for that killer Kirk Solo.
All and all it came out pretty solid, so I hope you guys enjoy this one with me.

Man i loved metallica for 25+ years! this hands down is easily almost my fav! this and Fixxxer I truely think are their best written songs! sucks they never play all of Fixxxxer Live :(

Hi Franscois, this is absolutely an awesome cover. I have learned guitar playing over TH-cam and I love videos like these. Bleeding me is an awesome song and you did it justice. I am nailing the rhythm part but never tried to do the solos as it looks to complicated following the guitar tabs (Ultimate guitar). What tips/advise can you give a beginner guitar player to learn guitar solos? Dankie
Wat ek 1st gedoen het is om die solos op te deel in parte. Dan het ek elke deel oor en oor gespeel todat ek gemaklik daarmee was en dan aanbeweeg na die volgende deel. Moenie met die moeilikste solos begin nie. Daar is genoeg videos op youtube wat jou die makliker solos wys. Kirk se solos op die Load/Reload albums is baie makliker as op die ouer albums.

Thank you. I'm using vst plugins in all of my videos, so no real stomp boxes or pedals are used when I make these covers. I think in this particular video I made use of Cubase's built-in Flanger/Phaser effects. I'll have to take a look again.

This video just reminds me of... My woman knows nothing about guitars. She bought me a Jackson guitar from a pawn shop, and it's a fake - a BAD fake at that. It's been 8 years, I still haven't told her. I had a guitar guy polish it up to standards. If you take off the pick guard or the electronics cover, it is branded FAKE. She'll never see it. I still don't own a Jackson.
