One important thing, Experience. I am now able to read the boards easily of the running trains most of the time. I get problem only when multiple destinations re present on the board. In that case i use Train Tracking apps and see the arrivals of the upcoming Big stations on that route. There i get the idea which was the train that passed. Also i use Indiarailinfo app to know which was the train that passed by seeing their rake compositions

We always use to carry the schedules of trains crossing and calculation is done based on our train departure from a particular station. Some guessings will be there and sometimes we couldn't identify it.

This train (Ganga Kaveri Sf exp) was not running in write route from the inauguration of this train(30-40 years back). Actually this train should without diverting route at Vijayawada,(via Vishakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar,Cuttack, Balasore,Hijli(for Kharagpur), Tatanagar Jn., Purulia Jn.,NSC Bose Gomoh Jn.,Koderma Jn.,Gaya Jn.,Pt.DDU JN) towards Varanasi/Chhapra for a shortest route and to save time.Also Southern Railway is not showing any interest in LHB fication of long distance trains towards north & south India! That's why SR zone trains receive low priority support while entering Itarsi Jn.(WCR ZONE- Madhya Pradesh) due to many overtakes....also cleanliness of this train is very very very very very poor.....So south Indians please don't go in this train for any reason... Pls go via BBS... VERY SHORTEST ROUTE FROM THERE....
