Best Audiobook Ever! Cannot wait to hear another of Emily Bleeker's Stories. But without the talented and brilliant narrator, I don't think that this Audiobook would have nearly the impact that it does. Thank you for allowing the readers this wonderful opportunity
I just finished this audiobook and I loved it! It’s beautifully written, and Angela’s storyline is so exciting. Painful, but inspiring. Her relationship with Henry was the cherry on top, and I’m so glad she got her happy ending
Adopted by her controlling foster mother at the age of eight, twenty-year-old Tara has seen little of the outside world. Lonely, punished for the slightest offense, her only distraction comes from watching the Feely family’s online videos. They’re an affectionate vlogging quintet and an internet sensation. Most important, they are Tara’s mental refuge. Then the opportunity arises for them to be something more. When Tara accepts an internship with the close-knit clan, they’re her escape. Daring to run away, and defying Mother’s rules, Tara is welcomed into the loving fold. But the more Tara gets to know them, the more she realizes that not everything is as it seems. As secrets slowly surface, the image of the perfect family begins to crack. For Tara, it’s another trap. To claim a life of her own, she’ll need a new escape plan. Because as the show’s popularity explodes, reaching even more fascinated viewers, Tara can’t shake the feeling that Mother is among their ranks. She’s watching. She’s waiting. She’ll never let her go.
I listened to the whole thing on my day off, I couldn’t put it down! This book has a slow tempo but an incredible story about a very brave young women. Thank you for a great listen.
Although elements of the story were unlikely, this was an amazing story. Different. I wish there had been more interaction with the parents and Angela, giving us an insight into their actions after the kidnapping event and some meaningful dialogue between them at the end. 10/10
Honestly I was hesitant to choose this one for some strange reason, but clicked on it tonight as something to maybe fall asleep to, however, it and the extremely talented narrator have kept me quite pleasantly awake!😂 I can't sleep now until I finish. No matter, sleep is highly overrated.😬This has been incredibly wonderful thank you for uploading ❤️
Good story but if anyone knows the story of Steven Stayner ('I know my first name is Steven'), they'd think this was almost plagerised. The stories are incredibly similar.
Oh not Instagram and exploited children .. which parent is the narc … poor Angela .. I won’t write any spoilers .. but man this is so sad and disturbingly sad ..
I enjoyed the narrator. She did a great job. However the story itself seemed to drag quite a few times. A lot of unnecessary lengthy dialog which really didn't have much to do with Angela's story. But overall I liked it. I can't say I loved it. I think if it would have been anyone else narrating this story; I might not have really liked it too much.
***This isn't a spoiler, because it's all in the first chapter. That is the whole point of the story, she is feeble and weak because she has been abusively manipulated and threatened since she was abandoned by her biological parents. She lives in a world of never knowing what her abusive and mood changing "Mother" demands she does or doesn't and faces severe punishment such as being locked in a dark closet for days even without water. She forces her to wear a fake pregnancy pad tov shoplift and tells her if she gets caught, she's not going to help her. She doesn't let her clean herself.
@@MamaofaWrestlerI understand but it’s to a point that it’s kind of unbearable. I had to turn it off a few times bc I was getting annoyed. There’s another book (I forget what the name was) where the main character was similar to Angela (very anxious, stunted social skills, under her twin sister’s control - similarly to how Angela is w her mother). But that was beautifully done, I felt so much pain for the character in that book. Angela is kind of irritating
@@sarahholland2600well no lmao she was physically abusive and holding Angela captive. That’s very different than an emotionally abusive mother that has NPD
@@Elle_ev You can be both. Its call comorbidity. My old coworker had 3 comorbid MH issues. All as a result of a physically & emotionally abusive mother.

Incredible pacing! It’s always amazing to hear such immersive storytelling-it’s definitely inspired me with my own writing.

ARGH! Struggling to get through this audiobook because there are ads EVERY 4 MINUTES, literally.... I timed it.
YT premium is better than an Audible subscription when it comes to audiobooks.
A great story & narrator definitely worth a listen 🎉🎉
Omg!!! So good!!!!!
Superb narrator doubled my enjoyment of this unique story.
Ads? Nope. If I have to carry my phone around Skip and add every 7 minutes I might as well be sitting down and reading the book
Just discovered a new author of suspense. Well written.

Loved this. The reader was outstanding. 1 question…how did ‘Mother ‘ find Angela?
She was probably on the lookout for little girl to capture. Or she just happened upon her
Brilliant story and storytelling. Thank you ❤

Soooooo much melodrama omg I couldn't finish listening 🙄
@missmayhemspeace If you think this is too melodramatic then you must live in a perfect world.
Couldn't put it down you just keep wondering what's going to happen to Angelia.

Is the whole book read in a whisper?
It was a good story, but I have it slow during many parts. I almost stopped listening because of that. Glad I stuck it through, though.

I think I’ve worked out the book ..
Oh not Instagram and exploited children .. which parent is the narc … poor Angela .. I won’t write any spoilers .. but man this is so sad and disturbingly sad ..
i saw websites that kislux that carry lv and chanel new collection! like exact blue print and looks like high quality too.

👏👏
Too much information about pustulating sore spots 🤢 too much internal dialogue.
What a pain to listen to this slow descriptive chapters!excruciating!
Descriptiveness isn’t for everyone; there are simpler books out there.
It’s so good tho
🎉hell yes I need a water gun 😅
This was not difficult to get into - good storyline - is such abuse real? Hard to comprehend… I looked forward to the resolve.
Half wau😊mav

Fake comments. Avoid this channel. This narrator is a bot and terrible
Every 5 minutes... So annoying
Adoption and foster care are not the same thing.
So slow to start. Main character is feeble and weak. 5 hours in and meh
She is what happens when narcissistic, emotionally abusive mothers treat their children as objects.
