this video recalls my memory of this quiet city. I really miss days spent in Southampton, studying there, living there. Great city, great people, great video.
Thanks! Good job! Living here for over 1 year, not aware of the beauty looking from above. Interestingly, there're 15sec continuously in the film, I found my flat on screen.
@@larrylai9192 , Thanks for your reply and I would like to have tons of information about Southampton, If I am going to live there, where could you recommend since we love to stay in a quiet environment especially in night time because we lived in Sai Kung before. Moreover, what is the air quality nearby the cruise pier. Thanks
Southampton isn't only the City centre, Ocean Village and Marinas, the Bargate and the footie stadium you know. What about Highfield where the University is, the Common which is a huge open space, The Avenue, even Southampton General Hospital, all could have got a look in 😐.
I can't decide where to move out of Norfolk. Milton Keynes or Southampton? I've spent a few nights at each place, and I liked both. MK is close to London, for better or worse, close by major airports. Southampton feels more organic, with worse traffic, I'd assume, but a beautiful coastline nearby.
Southampton is rough but has good links, close to the sea and new forest . Mk is basically an industrial estate, Norfolk is too out of the way 1000% southampton it's a proper city and it's nice having fresh air just down the road in the new forest
Will be cruising out of here in June. Currently we have one night booked staying in Southampton after the cruise before going to the airport. I’m really wrestling with it as I am hearing a lot of negativity that there’s not much to see for tourists and many other better places to go for a day. Having never been to Europe not sure really what to believe.
@@LG-ro5le well we did a night before the cruise here and just finished our night after the cruise and about to head to the airport. Is it the loveliest place, no but compared to some of the places I’ve been in the States (I’m from the US) this is a few steps above shit hole.
City centre is horrible now was much nicer in the eighties and nineties only ever go to Portswood now nice parking in Sainsburys, good selection of charity shops, food etc easy acces to motorway and out

what annoys me most about southampton is everything is built 90% of the way and they just leave the last finish because it will just get trashed anyway
Shame it will all be underwater within 20 years....Southampton is the 2nd most at risk city in the UK from global sea rising behind London. It's now a certainty not if but when......soon.😢
global sea level rise is exaggerated. its naturally part of the earths cycle of regeneration, it doesnt happen from fossil feuls. its happening but slowly
This almost makes Southampton look…… nice? Probably the nicest I’ve seen it in 40 years.
Should probably put that on the signs
"Southampton - It's not as bad as you think!"
Its not nice? Coming from the US it was heavenly and i wanted to stay forever

How so?
Millbank tower looks nice, you can't see all the crackhead running around. 😅😅😅
😅
some of this footage is in the direct flight path for landing planes at the airport How did you get away with that?
No I did not fly any route that are not allowed. All within permitted areas.
Thats not quite true. Is it.
