    Woooooooooah I mean Wooooooooooooooooooah! This has blown my mind. The red hot magma belly, the textured steel plating, 3D rivet's, textured head and gills..... No longer a lure it's a Piece of Art.
    I pull off my masking tape different, I pull the tape back so it's touching itself then peel it slowly back if you know what I mean! Since pulling it off this way I've not had any accident ripping paper or anything.
    I'm not surprised that you're proud of this lure, it looks like a fish that Robo Cop would have in his aquarium.
    I would have added rusty marks dripping from the rivet's and a round plate around the eye to mimic the portholes on ships and submereens! But your eye for detail is amazing, once I get my gear together this lure will be on the top of my list to try. If it turns out a 10th of how good yours looks I'd be chuffed.
    Another fantastic video, BIG THUMBS UP ALL DAY LONG. Take care my friend and keep on producing the videos I'm learning so much, they're like gold to me. 👍😷👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

      Hahah thank you so much mate! Great sense if humor too. I too was thinking about rusty spots but I got too afraid to ruin it. I could have clear coated it once to secure the paint and then tried some spots. Maybe next time, awesome idea! Thank you so much for the compliment! Regards from 🇸🇪 😄

      @@lureblanks Ah now that's crafty clear coating then trying it out! I better order more clear coat lol. I'm exactly the same not trusting myself, I can look at a piece for weeks then decide to do something that I could have done weeks ago! But then again it's better to be safe than sorry. I used to be indecisive but I'm not sure now!!!! 😂🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣

      @@lureblanks When someone asks me to do a piece of pyrography for them and follows up with the comment 'I will leave it up to you what you burn'!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that lol. But trying to come up with ideas for your viewer's must be very much the same! All the lures to choose from, scale patterns, colour combinations, paint effect's, species of fish etc etc etc! I would end up a blubbering nervous wreck lol. I'll leave all that up to you the professional.

      @@PENFOLD1962 Haha thank you so much Andrew, but it is indeed pretty much the same. You do not see that on camera but I too ponder, think, frustrate, spend hours, days , weeks without any good ideas coming up while you desperately try to get some out of your head. A creative crash happens too sometimes when I sit at my painting desk and ......... nope nothing...... sitting here for an hour now and still got nothing. I think all artist in every kind of art struggle with this from time to time :D

    Nice job , have you ever tried doing a crackle finish on a lure? I use it a lot on craw patterns. Example spray gold, coat with crackle coating , than spray burnt umber over it and the paint will crack really a cool effect.

    • @lureblanks
      @lureblanks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! No I haven't but that sounds like an awesome effect! Should look into that. What brand crackle medium do you prefer?

    • @toph2o676
      @toph2o676 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used the Valspar weathered crackle glaze you can get that at any Hardware paint store. It's used for doing antique furniture I started doing that about 15-20 years ago haven't seen anybody doing it lately actually at all. It's really cool like if you have a crayfish pattern or outline then you just paint on the crackle glaze let it dry for 5 minutes then shoot your color over that area and within the next 10 to 15 minutes it starts cracking and showing the color underneath there's different types of crackle glaze to weathered antique Etc

    • @toph2o676
      @toph2o676 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only thing about the crackle finishes I mean you're using acrylic so there be no problem. But I use a lot of two part and three-part urethane finishes and colors and with your things crackle finishes do not work

    • @lureblanks
      @lureblanks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@toph2o676 Thanks for the great info! So the crackle medium does not work well with acrylics or with urethane paints?

    • @toph2o676
      @toph2o676 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No the acrylics work very well with the crackle finishes. It's when you're using urethane paints that it does not work. I guess I should have never brought up urethane paints because 99% of the people that paint don't use them. But again the paints that you were using you'll have no problem doing a crackle finish you should definitely try it it's really cool. Wish I was there to show you
