It was for the opening of the Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker Academy. Mink, Zhao, Ronnie and a Singaporean player Jaden Ong played a 4-person mini-tournament that spanned across 1 afternoon and 1 evening session. No prizes for guessing who won the 'title' :-)
@Taneli Hotanen with the table size difference and the less forgiving middle pockets its a bit tougher, but you are right. practice is the biggest difference for that scenario
@tanelihotanen3394 It's a shot that's easier on a pool table (than a snooker table). It's not easier for pool players. The cueball wouldn't even be on a pool table (from that distance), not to mention the buckets that the middle pockets are on pool tables.

Jump ball is foul if landed beyond the ball? if its not beyond then is not foul? any experts here? Because I made a jump ball at competition and I supposed to hit red ball and I got it but not beyond the red ball and they said is a foul
Easy to get in your head when facing an opponent you're expected to beat out of hand, particularly when that opponent's very skilled in their own right.
Ronnie means that Xintong needs to work on his safety play. Of course, Selby's one of the best in the trade when it comes to safety and tactics, but his style is one that is slow and boring to play unless you are very patient, and if Xintong adopted the most extreme features of Selby's game, he'd ruin his speed, incredible potting and break building ability, because he is naturally such a fast, attacking player. It's also probably very hard to play as good safety as Mark Selby.

Zhao has mastered the art of missing by degrees. See how he pots the most difficult shots but then misses the simple ones. What Mink lacks in accuracy she makes up for in cuteness.

I don't see why Ronnie O'Sullivan has such great faith in this kid Zhao Xington, nor do I believe this kid is the future of snooker or a future world Number 1 either. Un Nooh is a far better player all round and still has plenty of potential and I think could easily be world number one someday. Not to mention this Mink, if she would just slow down and relax and stay calm, she herself is going to be world number one someday and has the potential to be world number one in the mens division. Just a shame that she didn't beat this Zhao Xington this time but if she relaxes, I believe one day soon she will. The only thing I don't like is why is it OK for women to play in the men's division but if men go to play in the women's division that's not ok. That's just typical female double standards right there and completely unfair and not right and shouldn't happen on any level. That's just my opinion with anyone likes it or not
The "open" competition is the highest division available. It isn't the mens competition. Anyone can qualify for the open competition. Only women can play in the women's competition.
Agree scotthorpe as often it's discrimination against men who should be allowed to play in all tournaments. Disagree re un noo he's very talented but just not good enough to be a World Champion. He has not achieved it yet for good reason.
That was very enjoyable snooker, with credit to the players and commentators but also to Cesar for the excellent editing.
