Thank you! I'm using the Sony A7IV with the Sony 200-600mm lens. When I float quietly in my canoe, I find the loons don't mind being close to me. Especially if they are in a feeding zone.

I witnessed this on Chandos lake, the lake has bald eagles also.
I photographed and watched a family of loons parents and one chick for good part of last August , well that bird took killed and eat their only chick.
Right in front of one of parents,the other parent was diving at the moment it happened.
I have great photos of the family of three and unfortunately a great shot of the eagle also these birds will kill and eat anything small.
