Huh I thought my recommendations was bugging out when it showed this video, when I was watching the original. Honestly my only problem with this is did you even try to ask Daria could you use her animation for this. She took the time and effort to make this animation fit the song she originally choose aka "fuck you" seamlessly ranging from the details of missi's hip swaying sassily as she sings to the part when the gargoyles come to life to harmonize with her. It just seems like you shit on her hard work by slapping a different song that brings a completely different vibe to the animation possibly without her consent.

@Natasha Horodecki Yes but Daria is very busy, and does not enjoy such conflicts. I personally find it important for her fans to speak out and support her when her work has been stolen. Not to mention her admin, who speaks for her since she's so busy, has requested many times that this be taken down as the animation does belong to Daria. Not following the wishes of the original creator who works very hard on this series is incredibly rude. I cannot make you like or dislike anything, but I will provide all the facts in the hopes that we can come to an understanding or at the very least least give you the full picture. After all wouldn't you be displeased if someone stole something you worked hard on and just quickly flashed your name at the end of it? :)

My comment is meant to let people know that this is not the original video and that, should they want to, it would be helpful to Daria if they did not like this video since it did steal her animation (without permission). Secondly, I'm saying that fans should understand how hard Daria works on these animations and respect the fact that this video upsets her. I believe she's cool with people making fancy edits of her animations (as I've seen many on Instagram) but this TH-camr only changed the song, making no original edits whatsoever. It's understandable to be upset when someone takes your work while only giving the most minimal amount of credit. Thirdly I am not saying anything bad about Daria. I have nothing but the upmost respect for her hard work, and I enjoy the story she has crafted. I know she can take care of herself, but I am aware that she is a busy person with other things to attend to. All in all, my comments are simply trying to alert people to the fact that this animation was stolen and that it would be beneficial if they supported the original artist instead of this particular TH-camr. Daria usually loves seeing fan videos of her series, but I’m letting you know in this instance - in which the video is just a reupload of resurrection with a different backing track - its particularly upsetting for her.
While you mentioned HER name at the end of the video, you neglected to add all the patron names and people that she herself credited in the original animation. She feels like it’s really important to include them since they helped her too!
I Just wanted to bring this to your attention, because I for one know how unhappy its making her. It hurts me to see her like that. :(

The comforting news is that a lot of people in the comments are calling out the problems with this video and directing people to the originals, so I hope she can take some comfort in that at least.
Yes, we want to report this video but after ages of consideration and discussing between me and her we realised it's a bit of a risky move. it would bring attention to HER video, and the fact it's not her music. We don't want her to potentially lose that music because of a secondary copyright. It's all a little bit of a mess...:(

This is akin to taking someone elses project that they worked on for weeks and just changing a little thing and showing it off, not even asking the person who made it if you could use it. I read the discription and read most of the comments and must I say that this is basically stolen even though you did credit the original owner but what got more concerning was the "inspiration" but if you were inspired by the video that the original owner made then how come this is just the same video but with different music (if you were really inspired by her you would make a fan made video with the song not just using the same video and placing different music but it is nice that you AT LEAST credit her but still next time make your own)

I hope you realize you need direct permission to use some else’s video. It would have been a different story if you’d just taken clips or animated it yourself, but you didn’t. You’re a thief and stole Daria Cohen’s whole animation and didn’t get “inspired” to actually tribute such an amazing animation. I don't really understand how it is "stolen" as they gave credits for it, "AMV" in the title can indicate it's not theirs. Also, I don't think you'd be going on other AMVs coming from others ARTISTS who sometimes aren't even credited like the ones including Animes, Cartoons etc... It is highly exagerated to call it a "crime", it'd be proper to call it a "crime" if they didn't credit anyone or said it to be theirs.

You really should have asked Daria Cohen for permission to use her animation... even though you credited her, it’s still stolen content. Realistically you should take this down and have a chat to her and see if she’s okay with you using her video before reposting... she’s a very very nice person and I’m sure she’d be okay with it as long as you talked to her first... but as is stands, taking her animation without asking is stealing...

I'll add my voice to the chorus in saying that this should not be here - it's stolen work!! Yes, you changed the music of it, and sure, you gave credit, but did you get permission from Daria? Because this is blatent stealing. You're using an exact copy of the video. It's not an inspiration. Even Daria says the existence of this exact video has saddened her because it is stealing her hard work, work she has spent years on making her own creation. Please, do something, because while the video idea if cool, the way this went about is sickening.

They did... But as well and good as just mentioning the original artist is, this person never asked for permission to use the video. If it was their own work, their own creation - sweet! It would be a pretty awesome fan video! But they just put new music to Daria's exact same video that she made. That's the part none of us fans, or Daria, like. It's still stealing. :(
