I wish the screenings were playing in the US so badly! Matthew Ball and Yasmine Naghdi are one of my fav duos and to see them on the big screen would truly be transcendent 🥺
I’ve studied a lot of different ballet schools, a lot of different ballet companies, and I’ve watched the quality of the emotionality, the choreography. I have to say beyond a shadow of a doubt… The Royal Ballet is my favorite company in the world, both in their technicality, and in the emotional expression that they exude on stage. It’s far better than anything in the United States, and I would dare to say you all illicit more emotion in me than anything that’s produce in Eastern European countries. Bravo, Royal ballet Company! Thank you!
I absolutely love Yasmine and Matthew's partnership, they're exquisite. I know pairing him with Mayara seems like a no-brainer now but these two grew up together and have a very special chemistry, it's amazing to watch.
I love Liam's choreography. His passionate spirit will live on in every performance. I'd be interested to know who the other three guardians of his work are.
Trying to find it playing here in Ontario too but no luck. Please let us see it too. Love the Royal Ballet. When I was growing up in Scotland it was of course Sadlers Wells Ballet. I was born I Dunfermline as was Moira Shearer and Kenneth MacMillan.
I love this Swan Lake. It is magnificent and thank you for this compilation. HOWEVER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE why, oh why, do designers, artistic directors and lighting designers INSIST upon dressing a male dancer (in this instance 'Siegfried') in black or dark costume and then plonk him in front of a dark background, with dark or inadequate lighting. All that does is render the poor fellow all but invisible.
I don’t think anyone is in full costume for this video. I think it’s just the bits the dancers need. And I imagine those headpieces are fragile, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re not worn until the final dress rehearsal.
When you see the dancers on stage, you can clearly see they're in leotards and dance skirts, so it's obviously a rehearsal. The headpieces aren't needed for rehearsals.

Laura has starred in so many of Liam’s productions. I’m so happy that she carries on his legacy. She is absolutely the right person to do so
Thank you for cherishing Liam's memory.

I love Liam’s production more than any I have seen and I am so glad that he has these wonderful guardians of his work! ❤
I watched it yesterday in the cinema and it brought tears to my eyes. Soooo so beautiful 😍

"they`re almost two trapped souls in two very different ways" a great point about Prince and Odette`s similarity
Absolutely mindblowing, saw it last night, thankyou all you athletes of perfection xx what a privilege to be part of the audience xx
I flew in from the Middle East for 6 April performance with Marianela and Vadim, outstanding
So wonderful, thank you so much. Ooh, there’s one for the making of the tutu’s, must watch that next. It all looks marvellous 🙏🙏🙏🙏🩰🩰🩰👵🇦🇺

Rest in Peace Liam, you won't be forgotten. Cancel culture killed you but your memory and contribution to Ballet stays forever.
hearing them talk about liam scarlett is so moving. 🥺
LOVE Swan Lake. Coming to see it again on 9 May. ❤
Nice tribute to Liam,bless him.
What happened to him?
@@VirginiaOThomas he died in 2021
He committed suicide when all his ballets were pulled from all the big companies starting with the Royal Ballet.
He was destroyed by this company and didnt survive its ordeal.
Rest in peace Liam ❤

Please Royal Opera house, broadcast it in theaters/cinemas in Paraguay too. Latin America is not just up to Brazil, Chile or Argentina 😭💔🙏🏻
The last time they broadcasted it in Mexico was 2018-2019! I've been patiently waiting ever since lol
Yasmine is esqisit and her and Matthew are wonderful partners 😊
Unrelated to this video, but why do we rarely ever see Akane in RB videos anymore?
As far as I know, Akane has been injured and in recovery since last year.
@@pekieboo oh okay. Thank you!
@@dancingdani25 You're welcome! Akane has many fans looking forward to her return to form.
Beautiful ballet - wonderful choreography. Such a shame about Liam!
Me gustaría que pudieras tener la opción de poder verlo desde casa pagando como durante la pandemia
❤❤❤❤
Is it possible to study with one of your dance teacher?
Where did the lovely swan headdresses go??

What? Did Liam the choreographer died? 😢
He passed a few years ago, in 2021.
He was accused of and ultimately cleared of misconduct but as per usual the truth didn’t matter. He died.
Ironic that the Royal Ballet dancers are honoring Liam after the Royal Ballet company basically drove him to suicide.
