That's wonderful! Around 1977 I actually visited Eugene Gluhareff's factory when he was in Gardena, CA next to the Goodyear blimp field. He had a small engine attached to a handheld fixture so you could experience the thrust. At that time he had a small shop and was building a couple a engines that were similar in size to the one in your video. For many years in the 1970s he ran small ads in the back of magazines such as Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Mechanics Illustrated, etcetera under the name EMG Engineering (his initials). Unfortunately the catalog that he gave me was loaned to a friend, never to be seen again. Eugene was a nice person and was willing to take time to talk to you.
I don't know the laws in your country, but in my country it would be totally forbidden, I have counted more than 10 traffic violations, not to mention that it's very dangerous and completely stupid

The exhaust pipe is higher up and further away, so it's less likely to spread and cause damage should it catch fire. It looks safer than the other models at least. Still very low to the ground though, I'll admit.

This is cool, when i use to be big into pulse jets in 2005 i remember all i could find on these types of engines where in the books because they where so old and no body really making them, instead everyone was building valveless ones and valved ones but not this. Looks like for its size it produces better thrust than the valveless one, if i remember right this is kinda like a valveless but a little different idk, i wanted to build one of these but never did. Look like fun, the feeling you get when riding something so random and loud is awsome and most people look at you as if they are seeing a ufo.

@@Crazy.Rocketman Really? When I worked for Gene, we didn’t see 137lbs without pressurizing the fuel tank. As for that, we were trying to develop a 175lbs version for Nelson Tyler (Flying Belt Corporation) and never saw over about 150lbs. Except for the 5lbs, the 175 was the only one I built with a round intake. The rest were the original streamlined cross section. Was yours built to Gene’s drawings or modified?
I mean the tank was 175 pounds thrust maybe 40. I don't see this thing making anywhere near 130 pounds thrust with the jetting that was called out, and I jetted up till the coil flooded. My triple valveless makes 110 pounds of thrust and does 90 MPH with me in it.

@@myprobate1661 The difference is that videos like this does not claim to be teaching something. And often when someone who is teaching something, that may not be by the books, they make that clear.
This is cool, when i use to be big into pulse jets in 2005 i remember all i could find on these types of engines where in the books because they where so old and no body really making them, instead everyone was building valveless ones and valved ones but not this. Looks like for its size it produces better thrust than the valveless one, if i remember right this is kinda like a valveless but a little different idk, i wanted to build one of these but never did. Look like fun, the feeling you get when riding something so random and loud is awsome and most people look at you as if they are seeing a ufo.
The Gluhareff is _NOT_ a pulse jet. It's a Pressure Jet. HUGE difference.

As for that, we were trying to develop a 175lbs version for Nelson Tyler (Flying Belt Corporation) and never saw over about 150lbs. Except for the 5lbs, the 175 was the only one I built with a round intake. The rest were the original streamlined cross section. Was yours built to Gene’s drawings or modified?

I mean the tank was 175 pounds thrust maybe 40. I don't see this thing making anywhere near 130 pounds thrust with the jetting that was called out, and I jetted up till the coil flooded. My triple valveless makes 110 pounds of thrust and does 90 MPH with me in it.
