Oh my goodness. I always loved that building. It is such a marvel architecturally. As a CBD resident there are so many architectural beautiful building in the CBD. Congratulations on your purchase.
I’m glad someone sees the potential in the CBD! I don’t understand why South Africans are so uninterested in the CBD. This place is a gem waiting to happen, I just hate that it’s not me who’s buying buildings and property there 😂
In the early to mid 2010's (to about 2017 or thereabouts) there really was a good revival and gentrification of that area of the CBD. But in the last few years things have taken a turn backwards again. I believe it is a testament to the failure of coalition governments such as the coalition governments over the last few years in Johannesburg, not being able to cooperate and to devise strategies to take the city forward.
That SA flag cladded building is one of my favourite...just because of the beautifully painted SA flag Welcome to SA, Michele. Absolutely correct, Joburg CBD is slowly but surely changing...We noticed this back in 2015 when we took the SiteSeeing Joburg bus. Stunning video as always, David
You're so right, we should come together as South Africans black and white - put our heads and hands together to reclaim and rebuild. If you go to places like Protea Glen in Soweto, you realise that what sets us apart is cleanliness, style, class and a taste for the finer things. The properties are not huge yet Mzansi folk go to great lengths to make their homes exquisite, inside and out. There should be a concerted effort to prioritise SAns for retail space acquisition/rental etc. Sakhumzi in Vilakazi Street should have city branches and the same goes for those posh taverns ekasi, they too should branch out to the city. We should get more SAns in the real estate industry too - we need to take control of our cities.
I’m born and lived most of my live in SA. Been living last 12 years in the USA. I’m also investing in property in SA. Lot of potential and changes coming. I agree, home prices are great to buy now while ZAR is weak.
yep with the recent political changes we are seeing a shift from ideological/liberation politics to economy politics it might be wise to buy up property now as its cheaper this coalition with the DA will likely be government for the next 10 to 15 years even 2 decades as we have seen with cape town if it a success the rand will strengthen and property prices skyrocket in the next few years more people will come back and the DA wants a visa laws changes as one of its demands in the governments to allow more foreign workers to come into south Africa as remote workers and more the property market will be hot lets just hope when that happens government and private sector will also invest in low cost housing for the poor to be able to rent and buy
Architecture and style of this building looks impressive and well maintained, even the surrounding buildings.Congratulations on your investment. Opportunities in beautiful South Africa are really sought after by international investors.
I know this building in Rissik Street, it was refurbished by OLD MUTUAL years back when I lived in the CBD its one off my favorite buildings, if it is up for loft rental I'd rent the a unit.
Please don't do anything American inspired. We have amazing architects and interior designers in South Africa who would do a great representation of Mzansi.
@@MusehanaH you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. No bank is going to give you their money unless you can provide the necessary security. Trust me, my investment property portfolio is just over R100 million and everytime I want a bond I have to provide 2 years audited financials AND on top of that I must still sign personal surety. Banks are not into the business of losing money
@@bonjovi7120 nice. Yes i have heard the areas just around the cbd are best to invest, better tenants but still (very) cash flow positive. As a european with there being no good investment opportunities left, i was happy to encounter the first other european daring to invest in SA. I literally have never seen any such example, everyone is too coward

I really feel like in the long run the CBD will be revamped 😊
That’s would be nice
It’s already happening. The New Town and Maboneng precincts have already seen a lot of revamping.
It will be.

@OkesAvenue, as usual, South Africans are the Johnny-come-late 😀
I was there today and I wish I had money to invest. I love the place.
Thank you Sir and congratulations, buy as much property in the CBD. 🥰
Would you say the same if he was Zimbabwean or Nigerian? Just curious…
Stunning Building and Valuable Investment Mr Michele Ciani ... I love Beautiful Architectural Styled Buildings.

this is beautiful. i wish the property owner and the Barbican a successful venture in the CBD.
I pray your strategy pays off. That CBD really needs investment and intervention.
Stunning buildong. Would make a great residential residence once the cbd is revamped. Which is bound to happen.
Used to go into the Rissik
street post office in the70sand80s beautiful building inside and out 👍

Wow he is brave …
Another excellent episode. Thanks.
This is brilliant. Have no doubt that it will be a great option for people working at FNB as well
And the Standard Bank employees
Such incredibly blue clear skies. Wow stunningly beautiful
Hi, when will we come together as South Africans whether black, white, middle class or low-income and invest in CBD?

I would like to encourage the Italian gentlemen to find more investment opportunities in RSA 🇿🇦

I would renovate the bathroom, paint walls white , ( but I don’t like color so ) the building has potential but would modernized it more
I love this video and we hope Cape Town will be next

Nice one man south Africa need these kind of investment
The Marshalltown area has always been decent. Let's see him purchase one of the alien-occupied cesspools
Well done, best of luck
It will take him a long time to get tenants... 😢 I hope he already has a plan for that.
please elaborate...
If courage had a name it should be this Italian guy
It does appear that honestly this building would be more profitable if you made
This building for office / business space
All BEE beneficiaries stop saving your money under your mattress and come buy properties in Jozi
There is no business anymore in that area when thinking of a restaurant! Maybe flats to rent at a reasonable price.
It's a Italian homeless center now, officially!! now let's celebrate.
How do we connect with him
His lying: He hijacked the building because his homeless at South Africa.
Not safe in Jhb
Okay✌🏾

@chadels7318, difference between an investor and a worker 😉
