I'm probably gonna get it for this but I really like The Madness album. Granted the album had it's share of duds but there were a few good tunes on there and it provided a good example of where they were headed had that incarnation of the band stuck around a bit longer. Alas it remains a one off oddity with apparently no hidden tracks or alternate ones so there you have it. Thanks for posting the vid.
It looks like Lee wasn't actually onstage playing the flute for I Pronounce You. His clip seems to have been pre recorded. If you look you'll see he wasn't in any shots with other people. Perhaps he had somewhere to go to
Best the bride is still a favourite of mine...I remember seeing the cd in a shop...never seen it promoted anywhere.....then they released What’s That....awful record....such a shame
is that suggs singing ? he looks totally different , why did they change the name to “the madness “? did mike barson leaving mean they had to change the name

Yes he is. After the first chorus you can see him in the wide shot from upper stage right. It's not a great image, but he's clearly there.
They were using drum machines in the studio.... Is that John Hasler pretending to drum?
Thats what i thought to
On the rerelease I think they mention in the liner notes that John Hasler did do drums on some tracks but mostly it is drum machines
bruce thomas on bass
do you have "saturday live" clip with madnes and hale and pace doin a rock and roll medley?,cant find it anywere!

The Madness! Very rare video from their least successful period. No wonder.
That woman should be put into a straight jacket ASAP. Great find!
Despite what Suggs and Carl said, Lee looks pretty damn nutty here! Good tunes from an underrated album
interesting choice of songs, notice bedders and woody pictures onside
@VESPACOL I hope you didn't then go onto Beat the Bride!
Long live Madness, great vid.
good album madness
it's a comedy skit set up by her and the band before hand

They were a line-up of Madness without Mark Bedford, Daniel Woodgate or Mike Barson, so 4 of the 7 members remained
i know i,m mad.... i,ve always been Mad.... :)
