There's no "evidence" of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) being black in the Qur'an. Although there's a little physical description of him and a few other prophets in the Hadith.
One of the Hadith say ''he was very tall and ''asmar'' I believe asmar is black?

It matters because if racists claimed that Prophet Muhammad was white as they did with Messiah Jesus, the first Apostles, all the ancient Isrealites, all the angels of heaven, as they try to do with ancient Egyptians & Babylonians, etc.... the thing that's wrong about it is that it's a lie. Do you think you should believe what the lie is because racists said so? Thus, what he is doing is teaching the historical truth.
What does it matter? The truth ALWAYS matters, especially when a great lie has been told and believed!!! That's why it MATTERS!

The images were changed and hidden n if doesn’t matter why was it hidden. It matters because it made blacks a displaced people.
With some of the systemic racism against Africans or dark skinned Muslims, it should be known that some of our own fair skinned brothers and sisters are also without knowing showing disdain to our original ancestors, because of their dark complexions. And if it doesn't matter so much, then why are white skinned Muslims making a point to show all of the documentaries of our early ancestors as white, which continues to reenforce the aspects of white SUPREMACY even in our own faith.
And it is well known that some fair skinned Muslims abhor marrying some of their fair skinned daughters to black skinned Muslim men. White supremacy is a social construct that was created by European's to impose their racist and Condescending will upon a world of brown people. And it's poison has affected the Muslim world as well.
This documentary is necessary so that we as MUSLIMS are aware of the hateful lies that are affecting dark skinned people of color globally and to reverse it's ignorance.
So I have some background to add... This lecture was done regarding an argument taking place as whether Islam was a colonizer religion and if so, how can it be good for black people? It was fueled by debates in Harlem NY, Sa Neter TV channel. As a Muslim in USA, Arabs tend to speak to others as if it is their religion. Often mosques will speak in Arabic and Hadith is mentioned more than Qur'an. Also, some mosques will only speak in Arabic, making it very unwelcoming for non-arab Muslims. That's the background to this lecture/debate with Pastor Ray Higgins.
It matters because the white Arabs oppression of the black African via religion is a fact and has to be broken. The reverse question sister, should be, if it doesn't matter, then why was the blackness of orginal people changed in Isalm. Whenever a prophet comes to a lost people his genealogy is attached as favor of the creator the minds of the worshippers of Allah. The subconscience and a subliminal reverence leads to a natural submission. This is the mindset that he is breaking up.
The Original Egyptians are the Black Egyptians! Put in on TH-cam { Nubians in Aswan } look at those videos. You will see that the Original Egyptians were black thousands of years ago and they are still black today.
You asked why does it matter if he was Black. It matters because it shows the contribution of a people to one of the worlds biggest religions. The denial of Black contributions to world leads to false narratives about those people and leads to their subjugation. Let alone it denies Blk people access to their original authentic history and culture.....
Our Prophet SAWS said Allah SWT changes the heart of a person (from a believer to be a disbeliever and vice versa) just like we twist 2 fingers. Meaning in a matter of a second.
So when we feel that someone is trying to deviate or misguide we are supposed to stay away from it. That's why you got do many negative feedback on the last video and I mentioned clearly when I found he is speaking a lie by misquoting the Qur'an I stopped it. This is the teaching of our prophet Muhammad SAW.
He thought us a beautiful supplication " Oh you who twist the heart; keep my heart straight forward on your religion". It's very beautiful supplication ( dua ) to be read in Arabic which I personally love to.

All the evidence we have through out history shows us that prophet Muhammad (saw) was an Arab, with white skin. One of his first companions was a black man named Bilal(as). No doubt there are black Arabs. But the Prophet(saw) is identified to have had white skin, with a wide forehead. The Prophet (saw) and Islam judges us all by our character, not our color.
Note white skin is not Caucasian but light.
DARK BROWN COMPLEXION: Anas b. Malik: The Messenger of Allah…was of medium stature, neither tall nor short, of a goodly build. His hair was neither curly nor completely straight. He had a dark brown (asmar) complexion…”

Malik who informed us of the dark brown complexion of the prophet, also informs us thusly: “While we were sitting with the Prophet in the mosque, a man came riding on a camel. He made his camel kneel down in the mosque, tied its foreleg and then said: “Who amongst you is Muhammad?” At that time the Prophet was sitting amongst us (his companions) leaning on his arm. We replied, “This white man reclining on his arm.”
WHITE MEANS WITHOUT BLEMISH: Ibn Manzur affirmed that “When the Arabs say that a person is white, they mean that he has a pure, clean, faultless integrity…They don’t mean that he has white skin…”
The Quran helps us to know: We have sent it down As an Arabic Quran, In order that ye may learn wisdom. Sura 12, Ayat 2. Go to Arabia and they will give you the evidence. Whoever believes in Allah(SWT) shall get there reward, on them shall be no fear.

My grandma is also from the lineage of the prophet and she is white, you wouldn't find anyone who claims to be from the lineage of the prophet if he is black and if he does he has to provide the family tree tracing back to the prophet otherwise he's simply lying, but anyway of course the skin colour doesn't matter but we reject this nonsense because it's considered to be lying about the prophet, lying about the prophet is forbidden and it's a big sin

So those who believe in him (Muhammad), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Quran) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful.

And if only they had acted according to the Torah, the Gospel, and what has (now) been sent down to them from their Lord (the Quran), they would surely have gotten provision from above them and from underneath their feet. The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Torah (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its legal laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey who carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them). How bad is the example (or the likeness) of people who deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah. And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers, etc.).
