    My introduction to the joys of two wheels was on the foot board of my Dad's Vespa in 1958, I used to stand and hold onto the handlebars, I used to feel like I was flying as we went up the steep hills in Torquay, It has been in my blood ever since. I think I would enjoy that tour you are on, I have a book callled " Bitten By The Bullet " probably one of the early tours of India on the Bullets, by a group of enthusiasts.

    Spoiler alert. You guys will get home to the U.K and feel really deflated when you look at all the signs on the side of the road telling you all the things you can’t do, all the traffic and speed cameras, all the ridiculous road rules, the ridiculous speed limits, all the self absorbed and self important people. You will really miss the freedom of India. I love the videos. Keep up the great work. Safe riding fellas.

    We can hear it in both of your voices that you two are having a genuinely exquisite time on your tour of India, both 'flowing like water' on the bikes, well done indeed. Soak in every minute of the Indian hospitality on the roads. More riders from around the world should take notice of how much fun riding can be when everyone shares the road with grace and humility.

    India is a very diverse country.
    There are green side, rainy side, desert side, snow and Himalayan side. Different language and different cultures based on the geography of India. Right now you are in the western Ghats, its the tropical side of India as you move down towards Kerala it will get greener. There are many Good and bad roads in India, some are really terrible.
    So a person from the Southern State like Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc have a different language, climate, temperature and roads than a person living in the North Himalayan states like Ladakh, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, uttrakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh where it is cold and snowy.
    Meanwhile in the west Rajasthan state is a dry Thar desert and on the east in Meghalaya they got rain 24*7 considered one of the wettest place on earth.
    Apart from that India got 2 main cluster of Islands one near Maldives called Lakshadweep islands and one near Indonesia called Andaman islands and they look similar to those countries.

      I mean yeah those places r there coz the people living there lack some understanding & with proper education which hopefully wil b included in the education in near future, these places wil change maybe 30 or 50yrs down the line to a good level but it will change. ■

    • @MrDarcy-OlMan
      @MrDarcy-OlMan  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @lunaluna-uc4id Conversely, the village and country people ARE very educated; in what actually matters in the world. A ‘western’ education would destroy their entire culture and beautiful way of life.

      @lunaluna-uc4id 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@MrDarcy-OlMan Oh i meant the Really bad places which others like some youtubers show
      full of trash, pollution, etc. the people there they lack some education plus regional govt authority has almost like left them so it has become a vicious cycle of that place being in a bad state where both the people & govt components need to b improved.. I meant those places hopefully change in next 30yrs for the good , as much needed for those places coz village & countryside is generally clean & nice..
      But its really good that u didn't do the same stereotype thing (coz no point in that as mentioned above) & chose to visit the beautiful places & villages instead & took an adventurous trip including off roading etc..

    I've been living in the US for the past 10 years, and while India is my home country, it's been over a decade since I last visited. Interestingly, I'm now experiencing the essence of India through the lens of a couple of British travelers. Who would have thought? This is the real India-not just the bustling streets of Mumbai or Delhi.

    18:16 it's actually the Mahindra Thar, named after Thar desert in Rajasthan, NW India. Mahindra had the licence to produce Willys Jeeps, that's where the design comes from. Jeep is busy suing Mahindra in every country they plan to expand, because of which the car cannot be seen outside India that much.

    If you do visit Kerala, when trailing through forest regions don't ever stop. Possibility of encountering wild elephant, deers and hogs are really high. Tigers and leopards are a mild possibility too. Enjoy your visit!

    You should take these rides for having a fun with a RE motorcycle.
    1. From Delhi to Ladakh on North side. You will blow up your mind on the world tallest motorable pass.
    2. From Kolkata to Darjeeling/Sikkim in the east side.
    3. From NJP (new jalpaiguri) town to Arunachal Pradesh or Meghalaya through Assam. Even Bhutan or Thailand is possible as international ride.
    4. From Kolkata to Pondicherry via Bhuvneshwar, Vishakhapatnam and Chennai on the eastern ghat.
    5. From Mumbai to Trivandrum via Panaji, Mangalore and Ernakulam on the western ghats.
    If you are serious bike rider or RE fan, you must take these rides to see the great country and experience.

    19:02 It’s called ‘Kumkum.’ In India, it is a tradition to apply it on the forehead, and you can see it in every temple. It is believed to absorb negativity that enters the body and has spiritual significance.

    The jeep-like truck at 18:18 is a Mahindra Thar. They are perfect but the tax on cars in India are criminally high and most people cant afford it.
