I love the rivals I wish they would have kept the exact same colorway on the remakes with the white on the palm I would have got them don't like the full yellow on the new ones
I got the venums and I like them agree with you totally, however I bought 12s for the bag and because of the treatment to the leather I do find that my gloves slides sometimes there's no stick to the bag everything slips and I risk injury I find it a lil cautious

For a compact training glove that you go spar with and use on bag and mitts some options are: 1V1 PTE (16 oz), Fly Superlace (16oz, either X line or premium leather), and Winning 14 oz (if your gym allows sparring in 14 oz for your weight). Salvador HF in 16 oz is very compact, but padding is horsehair and foam mixture, so sparring might not be possible

The ones on Rival now aren't the same as the limited Loma ones. QC issues from what I've heard.
