Discovering this track today. What a great song. I love these old battle songs because they keep it simple and to the point. This version has the "Nortune" feel if you will. The solos specially.
I have $20 in my eshop account and I’ve been going back and forth between Soul Hackers and Devil Survivor. This song alone is making a strong case for Soul hackers
@@jekfrumstotferm9830 i just played the tutorial dungeon because I was busy with Master Duel, but from today i will be able to continue and have better thoughts. For now: You can feel this sequel is influenced by TMS especially in visual and gameplay. I could be wrong in the coming dungeons, but the game felt drastically easier than before… and I’m playing on Hard. For one thing there’s no negotiation.. just throw money. The game did pretty good job in explaining why the characters cannot use COMP like before. Ringo is cute.
Atsushi Kitajoh arranged the track. Guitar by Toshiki Konishi from Atlus Sound Team. Meguro was his mentor. Konishi-san is also a composer but this track specifically is arranged by Kitajoh-san. Shoji Meguro did the original theme back then in the Saturn/PS1 era. Konishi has composed some themes for Persona 5 like Will Power, Keeper of Lust, etc.
@@hbrant Konishi didn't compose Will Power or Keeper of Lust (both were composed by Meguro) but those tracks do resemble his style so I don't blame you for thinking that. In base P5 he mostly handled cutscene themes, whereas in P5 Royal he was responsible for both versions of Ideal And The Real, Prison Labor, and a few other minor tracks.
@@hbrantI was under the impression that Kitajoh recorded his own guitar, considering Konishi has never been credited for his guitar work on any Kitajoh track. A few Kozuka tracks but no Kitajoh tracks.

I really like Atsushi Kitajoh's style of panning the tomroll thing, it makes his songs unbelievably hype
TAKE ME BACK TO THE 90'S BABY
NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, YOUVE GOT TO JUST ROOOOOOOOOOLL WITH IT
this is like comfort food after listening to Metaphor's theme

if it helps, this version of the song isn't in soul hackers, and devil survivor's soundtrack is amazing
If it helps, Devil Survivor is closer to Fire Emblem, while Soul Hackers is closer to SMT1, SMT2, Strange Journey, and P1.
Edit: and Etrian Odyssey
It it helps Devil Survivor is really fuckin good
@@PeriExe I'm big into FE so that also makes me lean towards Devil Survivor
@@henryfromplegia5194 then there you go lmao. Have fun!
THATS PHYSICAL YA YA YA
Still a banger to this day
This sounds like a theme atlus would put in the trailer for a Devil Summoner fighting game
ahh this sounds so nostalgic!1
Great
Soul Hackers 2. Oh yeah
what the frick?
They made the main battle theme good???
Preparing for Soul Hackers 2
I will give it a chance despite everything
Have you given it a chance yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

Ringo is cute.
I take it back, my ass is handed to me.
I am not looking forward the late game dungeons.
@@DarkJ1425 Those event battles in SH2 whopped my ass.
Easily second best Devil Summoner behind Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon.

This arrangement sounds like a Shoji Meguro mix. Do you know if it is?
Going by the description it's Atsushi Kitajoh's remix

Hearing this song in P5 as dlc, and with the sequel coming out soon, made me want to play this game, I’m only an hour in so far but I’m digging it
Which dlc?
You're tripping, P5 doesn't have any Soul Hackers dlc
