I wish I had seen this video before I ordered the ULTRAtenna 60. It's good to know I can return it if it fails to perform. Thanks for the honest review.
I spent 2 1/2 years testing 14 antennas (4 I built myself) and 4 pre-amps getting my attic setup perfected. Probably overkill, but I had fun. I can tell you absolutely that not all antennas are created equal. That little RCA yagi is a good one. Channel Master makes fine antennas, even the 2 and 4 bays antennas. Every antenna is not going to work in every situation. Just because it didn't work well for you doesn't make it a bad antenna. Before moving them to the attic, I pre-tested all my antennas off my deck, which is about 10 feet off the ground. I picked up a bunch of stations, but not all, somewhere in the range of 28-36. When I moved them to the attic, I got 65 stations. I really think your antenna should be mounted higher. But, then again, if you are getting all your channels, and are happy, then why? Check out the Antenna Man's youtube channel. He's reviewed quite a few. Thanks for the review!!
I have an RCA antenna with an external amplifier. I don’t remember the amplifier name. It’s ok. I’m about 30 miles from Pittsburgh. I have mine about 35 feet in the air outside my 2nd floor but I’m in a valley. It would probably be better if it was a little higher.
Whare are you located at? I'm 40 miles away from both Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio. Maybe I can help give you some advice and help you with your signal strength quality and problems.
That CM antenna is a good antenna and the RCA antenna is also good. Why don't you have it mounted at the house peak? I'm not looking to pump up CM but there's a lot of facts missing in your review
the Yagi would work just fine if you are very remote you will need a slightly bigger antenna, type passive, support VHF/UHF. the digital antennas not going to work! don't waste your money. you will need a signal noise reduction filter preferably no power source just something that would filter the signal and produce roughly 3db, channel masters are excellent but quite expensive and they do fry due to lightening if you have not grounded antenna properly. last thing is an antenna amplifier indoor one that sits between tv and preamp filter. if you choose to buy one unit that does all 3 make sure you buy a good one. I had to work on my grandpa's antenna far some 55 miles off grid in south east US, and this works great when there is hardly reception.
Bought The Channel Master Pro-Model antenna CM-1776 $149 + tax. Had it for 6 months and getting ready to deep six it, my old Walmart antenna was better. I concur Channel Master is ripping people off.
You have a Winegard built RCA 751 & YOU HAVE IT INSTALLED UPSIDEDOWN Channelmaster antennas are pricey If you want a real good one get a Winegard HD7694
Omg if you are a ham you would know that more surface area and height makes it work. On. A 5 foot post won’t cut it. You need height. I have 2 different CM antennas and it performs great. 73 Dean K9QB

I think you placed the antenna too low. You need to get the antenna up higher.
I read 4 star reviews and lower. If I don't see any. Red flags! Oh, I never give 5 star reviews . Great video

You had the wrong channel Master .
I rather pay 200 than 30
Mine does great but I got a big one on a 50 foot tower
what caught my attention in cm. it's that doesn't post the gain in Db or Dbi just post in miles and that doesn't speak too much to professionals
Dumby doesn't even tell us what antenna it is!!!

The antenna is too small, and it’s not high enough.

I think the matching transformer is hooked up to the wrong spot also.
Idk about them but Amazon won’t let you post a bad review
Are they both dual band?
