    "What needs to change?" The mindsets "This is how we do it here," and "God will provide what I need," both show an unwillingness to change. You have to want to change for the better and push to make it happen. They also let pride blind them, you have to admit a problem exists before you can fix it. Yes, the Philippines has lots of potential, but you have to want to change. Newton's 1st Law, "An object at rest, stays at rest until acted upon by an outside force," be that force that puts things in motion to start the change for the better.
    Thanks Lorie and ladies for the interviews, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

      What type of change are you talking about yes let’s make the Philippines as developed and modern as the USA my home country.They need to be careful for what they wish for that is why the United states is so fucked up right now too much development and not enough agriculture not enough farming.All corporate businesses and grocery supermarkets mostly artificial and processed food with added preservatives.Killing all the animals and the ones left they keep them locked up in controlled environment this isn’t the kind of improvement countries like Thailand,Indonesia,the Philippines,Malaysia needs noooo.Im witnessing this from thousand of miles away all of that dam development there doing in Manila,bgc,makati,Cebu I don’t like it 😢.Because there pushing out the locals some foreigners maybe able to afford it but none of the locals can.The prices in Metro areas in the Philippines for one bedroom is starting at 35k pesos a month most average Filipino people don’t even make 25k pesos a month.But again the Philippines government don’t care this is only to bring in foreign capital and investment into the country.This isn’t right and the same thing is happening in Thailand and Indonesia.They need to improve the agriculture sector and stop with all of this dam real estate and tourism.I talked about this with a few Filipina women online on live face to face they told me the development isn’t for Filipino people and most of them are being pushed into there province areas and country side😢.These governments are too money hungry for profit.

    Nice to hear that Canada has a good reputation with the Filipino ladies. I once hired a Filipino lady on a temporary basis to cover someone who was away due to an illness. She was very professional, with very good English and an honest desire to be helpful and friendly to my clients. She came over here after being married to another Canadian but I know it took years for that to happen. Love to have more of you over here, it would definitely add to our awesome diversity. Of course I won't wait for that to happen, I'll come over there in a few years, with bells on.

    The politically correct term for third world country is developing country.
    If foreigners could buy land and work in the Philippines, it would encourage foreign investment, and talented workers.

    • @PhilCherry3
      @PhilCherry3 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The foreigners would immediately buy up all the beachfront & build high-priced exclusive gated communities. Native Filipinos wouldn’t even be able to walk the lands their ancestors lived on for centuries. How do you think Hawaii became what you see today. If foreigners could buy land in the Philippines they would literally steal your country! That’s been their MO across the planet for nearly a millennium!

    A lot of the ladies you interview are doing English, Early Childhood, Nursing, or Midwifery. There are so many degree options available, but almost all girls you interview are in one of those four paths. Are you able to expand upon the topic? Provide insight into why province girls are likely to choose one of those four rather than math, science, or business? Are there courses in technology available?

    In the usa most people are educated. Food is cheap because only 1% of the population are farmers. 1% feeding the 99%. The rest of the population can chase higher education instead of working just to feed their family. Factories are using robots and machines to build things instead of hiring a lot of people. That's why most things are cheap in relation to their monthly income

    There are too many people and not enough work/jobs in the Philippines. As it is, there's a minimum wage in the Philippines, but not many businesses will pay it to their employees. It will take a lot for the Philippines to rise up out of that 3rd world tag that's been put on them. As well can someone please tell me what song is being played at the end of the video and who it is by thank you.

    The 3rd world country term is somewhat outdated and the world has certainly moved on in the last 80 years.
    The Philippines is a developing nation. While it still has high poverty levels it is also continuing to develop its infrastructure. Will the Philippines become a developed country "1st world" in the future? Probably not, it's very difficult for tropical countries to be. I think the three biggest factors long term are increasing the GDP per capita, birth rates (although this seems to be dropping in the developed parts) but also climate change.

    1st countries have other troubles , including poverty , homeless , jobless, and worse the poor are ungrateful ,lazy and troubled with drugs and alcohol .
    violence is common with guns , crime in cities and division and conflict among people, Some young people have the best new schools but have no interest to increase an education . the values are declining into the sewer . Philippines has good eager students
    More common now is the term" Developing country " the term "Third world" becoming obsolete

    For the Philippines to become a 2nd or 1st world country, is to have enough food to feed the people, mass transit everywhere, mass communications everywhere, and easy accessible healthcare everywhere. Unfortunately what is holding the Philippines back from this is the country is 7,000+ islands. Its very difficult to farm cattle for beef when you don't have the land for it. A solution for this is for the Philippines to produce something in mass to get things they need from other countries.

    Yes. The Philippines is still a third world country. However, this term is no longer used when we speak about the economic condition of the country. Instead, the world bank or IMF used the term developing country and this term applies to poor and lower middle income country like the Philippines. Especially at this present situation where our peso is becoming weaker and the prices of the basic goods and commodities are soaring high. In short, We are still a poor country (third world) though, there are still many countries from Asia or Africa which are poorer than us.

      Developing means in the process of advancing. When everyone with a way to improve is told to stop, that's not the way it's done, no development can happen. The Philippines is a 3rd world country. Look at EVERY OTHER SE Asian country. THEY are developing. And without all the advantages the Philippines started with.
      And, hey, it's fine by me if the Philippines wants to stay that way. But if they WANT to be a developing country then they need massive work be done with education and mostly government. Bribes and payoffs do not create a better culture.
      When the legal system prevents Foreigners from having equal basic rights, or to open businesses without loosing majority ownership of the business, when a business has to pay workers idle for hours every day because the power goes out every day, there is no incentive to be there. The Philippines appears to want to, demand to, stay a third world country.
      Vietnam was blown up in the 1970's. Communist for DECADES afterwards. And look what can happen when they make conditions positive for growth. Their roads don't have trees and power poles in the middle of the lane. They provide electricity dependability day after day. They don't plan blackouts for hours. They have functional internet. Even world class medical facilities. All this in a couple decades that the Philippines has had 70+ years to do.
      Again, it is the Philippines that has to want to improve. If they prefer to stay a third world country that is certainly their perogative. But as of today they are definitely NOT a developing country.

    • @Feroxx65
      @Feroxx65 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@goatman3828 The Philippines is not a stagnant country. Do not say that the Philippines is not a developing country. How dare you saying that the Philippines is not advancing. Look at the massive infrastructure projects in different parts of the country like bridges, subway and railways, expressways and other infrastructure projects, are these not a sign of development? You failed to point out the main problem of this country. It is not mainly by 100% of investment ownership rather the main problem here is corruption.
