Right on man. Gave me the confidence to try my own. Thanks so much for taking the time to post this! Everything you said is completely accurate. Only guy on the web I found that knew the rhino is all regular left hand threads. Thanks again!
Just replaced the wet clutch on my Massimo 500. Not very difficult. Just be sure to put the one way bearing in correctly. The drum shaft should turn CCW but not CW. Maybe different for rhino but probably not. Good luck.
Thanks for watching. if you look at the video before this one I explain how the one way should go on. This video was done 7 years ago, machine is still going strong. See the video here Change Rhino Wet Clutch Housing.
Thanks for watching, I did not edit it out.Did not record it as I had to disassemble the seat frame and forgot to turn the camera on.. Sorry about that. Like I said, I am not a professional. Learn as I go. I will check my videos to see if I have anything.
Not too many guys your age willing to get down on the floor and do it yourself. I'm 65 and I still do as many things myself as I can. I rebuilt the G52 transmission in my Toyota truck.
Just take the nut off then you will have to pull the engine the opposite direction while pulling the secondary sheave off for the rhino 660 the 700 you can just pull straight off
Did not loosen the mounts. As I have mentioned, I was learning as I went. I just played with it and moved stuff until I could get it out. I think I loosed the frame around the motor. sorry about the video cut out. As I I said in the disclaimer, I was learning as I went. I am not a pro.
Do you live in the states? if you live in Canada, try parts discounter.I just checked , they have wet clutch housing.partdiscounter.com/shop-by-make/yamaha.html?id=3&category=%3F&make=4&type=3&year=26&model=1619That is where I bought my clut5ch stuff from, a fraction of what the dealer was charging
Did you get the reply below? there is an internet address where you can get the clutch housing. Let me know if you have trouble. My email is don@laboursolutions.com. I do not know why it posted so far down.
Thanks for watching. It might be, I have all the top Billboard hits for each year from 70 thru to 79. I am not sure what would be playing any anytime, I just like the music.
As I have said to everyone that does not like the music. press stop. My garage, I always have the music on. I do not make any more help videos because of this. We also have an 2008 700 which I have overhauled pretty much all of it but have not shared.
You have to remove all of the shrouding infant and the tubes across the top. It does come out, you have to work at it. when I removed the primary it looked like I knew what I was doing. Not a chance. I had removed it 4 times due to my long learning curve. ( kept screwing up ) so it looks like It comes straight out. You have to work at it.
Is that while on the machine or the bench? my email is don@laboursolutions.com. If it's on the machine then you still have a screw in. Look way back on the right side. On the bench the cover will come off once you remove the oil seal and the cir clip.
+Rhino Rider yeah I took them all out would the motor being locked up be a problem I'm using it for parts and I need the shaft for the one I got running
Was watching this and saw the comments. I have a 2008 700 and im not able to get the case off. Tried tapping and even the slide hammer. The case does slightly shift but doesnt come off. Any suggestions?

HOW?...did you get the secondary sheave assembly out? why did you edit it out?
Just take the nut off then you will have to pull the engine the opposite direction while pulling the secondary sheave off for the rhino 660 the 700 you can just pull straight off
Nice of you to skip the step of how to get the secondary pulley off. It hits the frame so did you loosen the motor mounts or what?
Did not loosen the mounts. As I have mentioned, I was learning as I went. I just played with it and moved stuff until I could get it out. I think I loosed the frame around the motor.
sorry about the video cut out. As I I said in the disclaimer, I was learning as I went. I am not a pro.
The video cuts off right where im having an issue. Wouldve been nice to have that part included. Frame is blocking the secondary from comin off
Thanks for watching, sorry about that, the batteries died in the camera. did not know it until I went to shut the camera of.
What do you mean my age? I was young when I did the video. ( younger than I am now, just turned 67.)

I finally got it off I had to use a slide hammer because the one way bearing was locked up thanks for the help though
MY pleasure, happy you got it. Thanks for watching.
How do you get the front clutch off? The seat frame seems to be in the way.
You have to remove all of the shrouding infant and the tubes across the top. It does come out, you have to work at it. when I removed the primary it looked like I knew what I was doing. Not a chance. I ended up having to get a strap and lifting the engine to get the clearance to slide it off. Good video, I enjoyed it.
you are the man thanks
Thanks for watching
trying to remove wet clutch cover I tapped the rod left right up and down still can't get it off

Do you have 9 bolts in your hand from the cover? I think it is 9. If you have all the bolts then it is just the gasket that is sticking.
+Rhino Rider yeah I took them all out would the motor being locked up be a problem I'm using it for parts and I need the shaft for the one I got running
I don't think so, the shaft is separate
