*Interviewer:* Emil is competing in a sport where nearly anything is allowed, which is not allowed in Norway,this is as far away from Ole Einar Bjørndalen (norwegian biathlete) as you can get, we are talking about MMA, and we have with us Emil Weber Meek, with the alias Valhalla, welcome
*Emil:* thank you

*Interviewer:* You are one of few norwegians athletes who competes in MMA, could you tell us more about what MMA is about?

*Emil:* MMA is a sport compiling elements from different martial arts, Boxing , Wrestling and BJJ as main elements, we are allowed to do most things, however the rules mainly say no dirty tricks such as pulling of hair, no biting (interviewer: or beard?) no pulling of beards definately not! haha! And no strikes to the back or the head or groin. Basically elements that make it a dirty fight. In my mind its like a Gladiator match without dirty tricks.

*Interviewer:* -mumbles refering to channels you can watch MMA-... -> You guys are fighting within a Cage, just that in itself is abit.. strange. why exactly does it have to take place in a cage?

*Emil:* Mainly its for the safety of the fighters, it prevents you falling out (of the cage), now that you can Wrestle and push each other chasing takedowns, you now continue up against the cage instead of falling out of for example a boxing ring, I've attended events where heavy weights end up flying out over the judges tables when the events didnt have a cage.

*Interviewer:* But Emil, the 21st of May you are fighting a controversial Brazilian, and this could be your international breakthrough, because if you beat him, doors open into the highest level of MMA competition, like the UFC. but many warn you not to meet him , he is totally crazy...?...

*Emil:* There are many people who dont understand why I take the fight, but In my mind its the only correct choice, because not in my wildest imagination would I say no to this fight, If you consider what I stand to gain by beating him and what I risk to loose.. because if I manage to beat this guy then everything is done....

*Interviewer (cuts in):* Bububut He's notoriously known for damaging his opponents?!? and what if something like that would happen?

*Emil:* If something like that happens, it happens. I cant go into the fight thinking that I'm gonna get hurt or whats the worst that can happen. Remember, there's quite a lot of bad things that can happen if you consider the worst things that could possibly happen in a fight, but its the same when I get into my car every morning, I cant think about what is the worst that could happen; that's pretty bad as well. I just cant go in with that attitude, I have to focus on what I have to do.

*Interviewer:* Well if he starts with the ... Leg-squeeze -(she doesnt know what its called)- he is known for.or some other dirty tricks like not stopping when the fights over...then. you just have to bite! .. or do something!
But Emil last night you said on your Facebook page that you would be on the show.. I dont know if you feel at home on this show.. but here you are, and we are happy about that... and you said (on facebook) that if you got 1000 likes, you would loose the shirt. *Emil* yea we gotta make that happen *Interviewer* And you got 1000 likes and It went quite quickly too! I mean you have quite a large following.. so now all that remains is to loose the shirt and we'll all see how great of a shape this guy is in..

*Interviewer* While you do that Emil, I can tell -(people watching)- that you train and exercise extremely hard, you are in peak condition, extremely fit and ready to fight May 21st, We have some pictures of you... you've never been unfit I would say, but not too many months ago you looked like in the left picture there, In March... Alittlebit less ripped but still quite a muscular young man *Emil* mmmm *Interviewer* So how's your training regimen, what do you do to get into this condition?

*Emil* I train two times a day, 6 days a week. The Intensity is very high, so If you compare me with Bjørn... (Emil forgets the Biathletes last name) I exercise fewer hours, but the intensity is much higher, as the duration of my competition is much shorter than his races. So we have to do everything we can, so the reason why I look like I do in the pictures and now Is that I really peak my condition for the match.. so the last weeks before the match you, now its alittle more than a week before the match, you end up looking almost sick really *Interviewer-(cougar moment)-: I think you look really good aswell... actually* *Emil continues* But its allmost impossible to keep that shape year around, so you keep doing it in periods from match to match, when you have to res, you rest, eat abit more, and thats how the days go really.
*Interviewer* But you , really cool to have you here (on the show) and we wish you good luck and wish you all the best in Milan 21st of may, Is it possible for people to see this anywhere?

How he looked in the fight in Finland couple of months earlier and how i looked in the Palhares fight, there is nothing but respect for Emil, you could clearly see how serious he tok the fight and how much work he had put into this fight. he knew what the stakes was...

Fikk aldri vite hvem denne "brasilianeren" faktisk er. Irriterende TV.
Dette var før kampen hans med Rousimar 'Toquinho' Palhares, som er kjent for å være ett rasshøl som liker å prøve å skade folk selv om de har gitt seg. Emil vant via knockout.
