Hey, look, Gary, I'm in the race!
Good tutorial, it's good to explain these practices and follow up with some better detailed examples of how you're applying this that I think is useful for those newer players trying to compete with the top. Lord knows I would have appreciated it when I was learning 😅
I think if we wanted to go even further than this, you could try and give super in-depth guids about "Platinum Patterns" or something. It's an idea I've theorized before where you really just lay into how the boost pattern is meant to be done to hit those top times, not unlike how S2riker did their runs.

Thanks for the heads up Etiketi! Although I didn't think this far, manifesting an idea to do a fully-blown analysis is something I could try doing.
One of my goals with this series is that I wanted the videos to be compact and short so that the audience can resume what they are doing without having too much of their time wasted.
I'm often thinking about how I could word it better to ensure an easier understanding between me and the audience. I'll keep the suggestions open for a better overall perspective.
I appreciate your support my man! 👊

Do let me know if I have done a good job explaining the video in simple terms. This will help me word things better for the tutorials coming in the future! Otherwise, enjoy the video!

Only thing missing is narration as I have to pause to read and then watch the demonstration. But I'm a slow reader haha

Yeah. This has been a problem I'm also noticing. I have been dealing with in my recent tutorials though it is not much better at this time. I'll keep working on it.👍

Great tutorial! I loooove the Aura example at the end because that's exactly my thought process and my pattern!
I wanna add some details: When in the recovery period and you want to burn a little along a short straight, but not cut into your hull, I call that "heatboosting." When normal boosting after you cancel your hyper, I call that extending your hyper, or "extended short hyper" in this case, as you're preserving your momentum AND aligning your recovery period to start of a long straight (like the end of Aura). It's almost always better to activate your hyper at the beginning of a long straight than "late" as you build up momentum faster and you preserve momentum longer when you exhaust your resources. Finally if you find yourself braking on a turn after boosting, try letting off the boost earlier to slow down for a turn, instead of killing the momentum abruptly. That way you conserve more resources to burn on the next straight and you have a shorter recovery period. I call this buffering your inputs as you generally want to minimize the amount of inputs when optimizing your pattern, as it leads to faster times, it's less to remember, and reduces fatigue. Of course it's good to learn backup strats in case something goes wrong

I can agree with what is being said here. These are things I can work on in order to make my gameplay more polished and precise to gain more time. Perhaps I can add those rips into an advanced tutorial video in the future perhaps. 👀

Another note, but about loadouts, while Durability is essential to great times, there are other loadouts that suit different playstyles. Durability is just more forgiving to mistakes. AKKO (HSAK ISKO) specializes in Top Speed, essentially shortening the track you have to cover and thus you don't need as much Durability to cover the same distance. 2KO (HSKO ISKO) evens out the ships that lack in Durability to be more competitive. SSHE sacrifices Durability and Stability for more boost power (commonly seen on tanky ships like Buran and Koen). TSLY and SVLY give you better drifting power compared to HURR, but are less forgiving. I could go on haha

Thanks for recommending the setups. This information can definitely be useful when I try a few different setups in the future.
I'm hoping there is enough time to put these setups into the test. Competition demands the players to seek new ways to outmanoeuvre their opponents. I will happily comply with that! 🙌
