Thanks heaps mate. The first few videos took me weeks to make because I was overwhelmed with the amount of unorganized pictures and videos! I had no space left to take more so I forced myself to finish em. Easier and more comfortable then grinding! Haha learn from my mistakes! I wouldn’t have drilled all the holesaw holes in the stringers, go in from the top straight away if u do stringer water tanks! And use vinyl ester resin with poly fillets inside tank. Cheaper and also gives you the option to put fuel in the stringers! If you do hatches use aluminium strip backing with sika flex. So many things to make faster and cheaper. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on your channel! Do it! Surely my narrating would give you the courage!? Haha doesn’t get much worse then my dribble haha

Could you at some point do a no music, detailed narration of the project? I want to bring a Bertram 28 FBC back to life like this, but unfortunately don’t possess the skills. I can fix anything that requires standard tools, but all that glass work is beyond me, so I’m gonna have to start with a really solid boat.
I wish you all the best with your build. I’m sure if you want it bad enough You will be able to learn everything you need to know. It’s a mind, endurance , money game more than having skills to do it in my opinion. I have made some videos without music. I hope some of my videos can help you. My son was 2yo when I first got the boat. He just turned 8yo last week. lol I’m currently away from home working so I haven’t released a video in a couple months sorry

@@Micington PS did do motor for Bert! 475 hp original Mercruiser engine originally built by Mercury Performance Offshore Marine and Added some Steroids!! Fuel injection bigger heads exhausts and Mo Money into it. When I first got it, got 64 mph out of it. Hoping for 80 it Does have the original TRS OUT DRIVE AND BORG WARNER TRANS, So all running gear is collecting dust! Use my 17 mako for fishing and convenience it's wash n wear. Don't think the Vert will be active daily type boat just a once n a while thing! It's the Only One like it! Lol if I drop dead my kids will probably say goodbye to it! Their Daddy has too many Toys roflmao
If you have text on the screen it needs to remain visible for at least 1/2 second per word with a minimum of 5 seconds for any sentence Same goes with diagrams, and even longer delays if you have a split-screen view

I love Bertrams, been doing Marine Surveys for 35 years. Restored my own Bertram. A 20 Sportsman, find one of those. Awful music, way too fast. Two years in 15 minutes? I couldn’t even read the text fast enough!!

Nope no water .water ain't positive flotation and as much and ugly it is under there it had a purpose positive flotation another Bernie build at 85 percent but amazing effort for an amateur good stuff
@@Micington hey mate love the idea but I've had 3 close calls to sinking and all times it was the voids throughout the book and cranny that gave us an extra few mins but no tap gonna drain fast enough aftr u hit a shipping container i woulda went for bladder fuel option turn that whole floor in to massive esky storage bins wrapped in foam also hate the sound of water rocking around esp under the main floor would do my head in thinking im taking on water..blown away with your effort .noticed it dident take you long to invest in the right ppe.few sleepless itchy nights hey..good on u mate 🤘

The time lapse is way, way overdone. It should be used as a highlight only not the entire video. Very disconcerting to watch and definitely not worth the effort. A new one was doing the captions in time lapse as well so they could not be read if they did carry any worthwhile information. Give this a pass.

A trick I use on the painters suit is , instead of taping my wrist , I use hair ties or rubber bands.

My 25 ended up becoming short of 27/ but that’s okay -twin YAM 300, one rotaries differently
I’ve been told counter rotators don’t go as quick as same rotation. With twin 300’s I’m sure that’s not a problem hahaha

Why not convert to outboards and avoid the maintenance nightmare that is stern drive?
