    Welcome back to our ArtsyFartzy Club! I’m Mrs. Johnson, and today we’re diving into a creative art lesson inspired by the book, The Sound of Silence, and the delightful sounds of onomatopoeia. This cross-curricular art lesson is designed to teach kids about shapes, line, cutting, gluing, and the fascinating concept of onomatopoeia while drawing and having tons of fun!
    Today’s Lesson Includes:
    Drawing and coloring techniques using basic shapes.
    An introduction to onomatopoeia through art.
    Crafting a colorful umbrella inspired by The Sound of Silence.
    Materials You'll Need:
    Construction Paper 9x12" (I used yellow, black, and white)
    Pencil
    Markers (in blues and purples)
    Scissors
    Glue
    *Ribbon, Yarn, or String (optional)
    Your imagination and creativity!

    Start with a simple drawing of an umbrella.
    Learn about different types of lines: straight, wavy, loop-de-loop.
    Understand and apply the concept of onomatopoeia in art.
