You made her look so stunning and radiant (she was very beautiful to begin with) in just a few, simple steps. No crazy smokey eyes, false lashes, super harsh and intense highlighting or bold colors. Just natural beauty. This is why you're the best out there!
I love how all of your tutorials use the minimal amount of effort and products for maximum effect. No unnecessary 5 different eyeshadows for one "neutral" look, and great tips and techniques too. Thank you!
Your make up looks are so natural and classic and it's more beautiful than most you tubers out there who feel they need to cake on make up!! I love your channel
see now THIS what i call contouring! she's mimicking natural shadows on her skin tone according to her skin color, not rubbing in vigorously a blasted crayon on the hollows of her cheeks, forehead and sides of her nose. she went steady with the colour, focusing on subtlety, quite unlike the the Instagram and TH-cam cloonies and I quote beauty bloggers who only live by slobbering on their product and looking YAAS, SLAY and QUEEN. if it wasn't for you Lisa i would've given up learning makeup on TH-cam. id rather learn it from an actual makeup artist who treats makeup as a tool and nothing more rather than from a nincompoop who hyperventilates about it and treats it like their most cherished personal belonging.
I agree with everyone that Claire is absolutely gorgeous, but I would also encourage everyone to try this look, I did and I can't believe the difference it made. My son even noticed. Thank you Lisa for all your tutorials. You make it so easy to learn. Forever grateful-Rachel
I find it quite a unique colour, you could find something similar from Mac etc but not exactly the same. As a make-up artist I can justify the price for work and I love the colour of this pencil but for a non make-up artist, I totally agree with you, Serge Lutens prices are crazy! X
She looks perfect. Like she's not even real?! Btw Lisa if your reading this do you think one day you could do the make up of a trans girl. Make up to me was so powerful because for the first time I had some control of the way I looked but it's a very hard skill to bring out what's feminine in our faces, concealing things like beard shadow and texture. While still trying to look natural. Regardless I love you
Claire is drop-dead gorgeous, the proverbial English rose :) - and so is her make-up of course! thanks Lisa for sharing another wonderful tutorial with us!
Lisa you've delivered another amazing and informational video. Your expertise and experience outshines all other "gurus", to be honest, you are the only makeup "guru" on youtube. Keep up the hard work, you have a large group of followers that adore you!
Lisa, I have a quick question for you. I am unbelievably fair (think of the fairest person you know, then go about 3 shades lighter) and very pink. The ONLY things I can find that looks somewhat natural to use as contouring shades are eyeshadows or eyebrow powder colors for blonde hair. I'm assuming that it's fine to use an eyebrow powder on your face, just as it is fine to use eyeshadow, however I just wanted to check with the expert. Thank you for your wonderful tips!
I know this is a very (very) late response but I just saw your comment. Have you tried MAC's Harmony blush? It's supposed to be very subtle and most pale-skinned girls I know swear by it. And it also doubles as a blush so you get 2 products in 1!
Wow, stunning! Lisa, I am so thrilled you still take the time to make these videos. They are truly pieces of art, beautiful to watch, all while being educational at the same time! Thank you!
Lovely Lisa, could you do a contouring video for those of us with very round, chubby faces? I think it's a bit more of a challenge & I for one could use some help with it. Thanks! xo
Amy Eades And the opposite would also be very much appreciated:). (I have a really skinny, hollow-looking face so I'm trying to make it appear fuller/rounder but it's not easy. I literally puff up my cheeks on photographs!😄
What a stunning model! She has the perfect canvas to work with! I'd love to do her makeup haha but thanks Lisa your tutorials are always very helpful and useful I appreciate you taking the time out of your very busy life to make videos for us all
I absolutely LOVE that you're not afraid of silence in a video. So many makeup girls on TH-cam feel the need to talk during every single second of their videos. But with your videos, since you work in silence some of the time, I can really focus on your technique :)
Does anyone know any good dupes for the Jouer bronzer? I'm very pale as well and I find it really hard to find a good bronzer/contour that doesn't look orange :(
cecilia magnusson I don't know about dupes, but for pale skin contouring you need something cool toned. Try the nyx blush in taupe. For bronzer, I've seen several fair-skinned people use a face powder a few shades darker than their own skin.
I absolutely loved this look. Claire is a beautiful woman inside and out. I have seen so many highlighting tutorials and this is by far the most beautiful contouring makeup application I have ever seen!! The color is so perfect on her skin. Now this will be a job for me to try to recreate. I just adore your tutorials Lisa. You are a true artist!! Thank you for all the inspiration you have given me. I never would have thought at my age I would be doing what I did years ago, applying makeup XX
A makeup artist on TH-cam said that we shouldn't use bronzers to contour because shadows are cool toned and I agree. Natural shadows are cool toned whereas bronzers are warm. And here Ms. Lisa is using matte bronzers to contour and now I'm confused because all her videos I've watched so far have beautiful natural makeup that enhances beauty and not takes away from her models. Whose advice should I follow now?! . . . . . The perils of learning makeup from youtubers -_-
Different colors work for different people, but one caution about cool tones is that they can tend to make your skin look duller/grayer. Lisa uses warm but not too warm (not orange), which is basically what your other source is getting at, trying to avoid orange. Using a warm color can add vitality as well as dimension, and cool tones can add dimension naturally. There's really more than one right answer, and you have to figure out what works for you and your skin tone.
Shayri Garg..thats what i thought before too but it never looked good on me i look like a i have a dirt on my face a bronzer looks perfect and natural for me and i even use it to some when i do their makeup so you have to work on your skintone.
Shayri Garg I tried cool tone color as shadow/contour for my cheekbones before. It look very natural and fool proof but I find in some harsh lighting, it can come off as ashy sometime and make my skin look a bit dull. Now I prefer a warmer shade like the one Lisa use here. It's not too warm that make it obvious and the warm tone make your skin look healthier and more vibrant.
I agree, she's already flawless and so this looks a bit heavy. But I think Lisa's really showing us technique, plus this wouldn't look so obvious under normal light, with her hair down. It may also be a different take on the heavy "kardashian contour" type thing that's trending now.
eizhowa I kept waiting for her to take a large fluffy brush and just take the edges off.. mainly around the nose. Not sure that contour was necessary on this girl. But I get this is a one size fits all tutorial. Overall, very pretty.
I agree with you, it looks harsh in the video and it would definitely look harsh in daylight, but I think it's just the perfect amount for a night out!
Lisa!! I am obsessed with you, your voice, accent, and the videos you make, I simply cannot stop watching them. You make everything seem so effortless and chic!....I really admire your work and am thankful for your wonderful tips and techniques for us normal girls/women :)
I really love Lisa's videos but this one is a little weird. The contouring looks way to "fake" and "muddy". It would look great if it was a bit lighter and better blended in!
Lisa as always u prove why ur the best REAL makeup artist on you tube, often imitated but never doublicated bcs theres only one Lisa D. Thank you for the tips the knowledge n the demostrations. Much love from california!
She looks like an angel. Thank you so much for the tip on applying a regular powder first, I have never heard that specific advice and it certainly gives an advantage from the start to blending smoothly.
I love your videos. One because they are very informative, two easy tips and tricks and three I adore your voice, it is so relaxing! I could listen to you talk for hours.
cant really recommend an actual shade without seeing you but the MUFE sculpting kit is good. Does your friend who uses it have a similar skin tone to yours? X
Wow! I learnt so much watching this video! The more of these videos I see the better my makeup starts to look! Thank you Lisa for giving us such great advice and make up tips! I would love to learn how to contour different face shapes. I would say I have a round shape and would love to learn how to contour bronzer to suit my shape. I also battle with circles under my eyes ( it doesn't matter how much water I drink or eye masks I use) I would love to learn how to apply makeup (not just contouring) to conceal my circles under my eyes. Thanks again for all the great tips Lisa!
Hi Lisa! I just wanted to say I really, really appreciate that you make all these videos for us! I know you must be busy with kids and your job, and I know you said on Facebook recently that you didn't feel like making videos because people were copying your looks and philosophy. But there is no one on youtube that's quite like you. THANK YOU, so much, for still making videos. :)
Beautiful look, stunningly strong and yet not fake looking contouring. I would love to see you do a couple of different looks on older skins with wrinkles, pigmentation, very sparse eyebrows/lashes etc. Your the best, Lisa x
Claire is absolutely STUNNING. And this is a wonderful video...I find too many people go waaaaaay overboard and heavy-handed with contour and highlights. Lovely.
Guerlain do some very good matte contouring bronzers which each contain four shades. The palette comes in four colour ways and I think, from what you say, 'brunette' may be good for you. As I havent actually seen you I cant say for sure so you will have to visit a counter to find your right shade. Guerlain palettes are expensive but these ones last forever. I have them in my pro kit and they are great! X
Your videos are truly an inspiration! I look forward to seeing your name in my subscription box every day!! I have never wanted to be a make up artist more then since I started watching you!
I wish I was as gifted as you are with brush and bronzer, luckily for me you are here to give us some pointers, therefore I will keep practicing till perfect! I love that you use so many different and new products, things that I wouldn't think to buy, and that are really fab, again, THANKYOU Lisa for such an inspiring tutorial xxx
lisa videos are just the best therapy. its so impossible to feel stressed watching them.
agreed!
You made her look so stunning and radiant (she was very beautiful to begin with) in just a few, simple steps. No crazy smokey eyes, false lashes, super harsh and intense highlighting or bold colors. Just natural beauty. This is why you're the best out there!
+Waldorfdarling Like no 100 ^^
I love how all of your tutorials use the minimal amount of effort and products for maximum effect. No unnecessary 5 different eyeshadows for one "neutral" look, and great tips and techniques too. Thank you!
Does anyone else get hypnotized by how beautiful the model is...she is so beautiful! lol
Yes!!! Thought it was just me. She is flawless
I know right....I bet all her students love her as a teacher!! lol
she reminds me of robin tunny
I love how Lisa always compliments her models! This look is truly stunning on the model, absolutely gorgeous.
Lisa has such a great personalty. It makes it very enjoyable to watch her tutorials
Your make up looks are so natural and classic and it's more beautiful than most you tubers out there who feel they need to cake on make up!! I love your channel

What's even the point of the dislike video? If you don't like Lisa's beautiful look or can't appreciate her incredible skills then just leave👍🏻
I'm in awe of how stunning that model is. And the look was gorgeous.
The model is beyond gorgeous!!!
Beautiful! Always make the mistake of watching your videos relaxing after work and your voice makes me so sleepy it's so soothing lol!! X
If its night time, I drift off when watching these! The white, ambient background and warm laptop don't help much either hahaha
Every time I watch this video, I'm so distracted by Claire's beauty! She is STUNNING.
I agree with everyone that Claire is absolutely gorgeous, but I would also encourage everyone to try this look, I did and I can't believe the difference it made. My son even noticed. Thank you Lisa for all your tutorials. You make it so easy to learn. Forever grateful-Rachel
I love when you're doing Claire`s make-up, she's just so sweet.
+Domi Nator Right? I wish Claire would appear more on Lisa's channel
Claire is so flawlessly beautiful, she honestly looks like the cover of a makeup book! Great job!
She looks STUNNING!!!
This girl's beauty doesn't even seem real!!! The magic of makeup!!! She's already beautiful without it but with it... she shines! great job!
Lisa, you are amazing!! This is the absolute best bronzing/highlighting look I've ever seen. Flawless model!
I cannot believe that she's a teacher and not a model!! She is so, so stunning. Well done as always lisa. :)
soooo beautiful oh my gosh, and she reminds me so much of that gorgeous actress of Game of thrones!!! The one who plays Sansa Stark!!
They could be sisters or false twins
I find it quite a unique colour, you could find something similar from Mac etc but not exactly the same. As a make-up artist I can justify the price for work and I love the colour of this pencil but for a non make-up artist, I totally agree with you, Serge Lutens prices are crazy! X

It's amazing how you could bring out such an amazing feature of her face only by contouring! THANK YOU for sharing us your knowledge xx
Sansa Stark out here getting makeovers from Lisa Eldridge this is dope
Yes it is. I think it just launched in the US ...but its not out in Europe yet x
What an amazing artist you are!!
Yes absolutely, a touch of blusher would look beautiful X
She looks like Sansa Stark !
Jessa linkstorm I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME SEEING THAT. She is really a dead ringer for Sophie Turner, though, isn't she?
I KNEW I WASNT JUST SEEING THINGS
LUCKY GIRL i would love to look like her
+Jessa linkstorm She sounds just like her, too!
exactly! and her voice, too!
Claire is drop-dead gorgeous, the proverbial English rose :) - and so is her make-up of course!
thanks Lisa for sharing another wonderful tutorial with us!
its about time we had some 'professionals' do it right.instead of the amatuer incorrect methods and rubbish;]]]
Lisa you've delivered another amazing and informational video. Your expertise and experience outshines all other "gurus", to be honest, you are the only makeup "guru" on youtube. Keep up the hard work, you have a large group of followers that adore you!

that bronzer is to die for

th-cam.com/video/D8g3orq4M7U/w-d-xo.html Lisa Eldridge did this one on herself and she has a longer leaner face, Hope it helps.
This look is so Diane Krueger! So incredibly chic! It is amazing how minimalistic the makeup is yet still transforming. Lovely lovely Lisa!
She is just lovely. The little boys in her classroom must always be on their best behavior.
What a stunning model! She has the perfect canvas to work with! I'd love to do her makeup haha but thanks Lisa your tutorials are always very helpful and useful I appreciate you taking the time out of your very busy life to make videos for us all
Stunning, you are my idol, Lisa. May I also say she really reminds me of Sophie Turner in this, gorgeous
I got so confused when she called her Claire!! I thought she was Sophie omg
Hailey Kenney They could be twins :O
Then I'm not the only one :D
Aletta Petra Albert Haha yes, she looks exactly like her in this, made me jump XD
You are so relaxing to watch/listen to, I bet your children nod off in no time at all when it comes to bedtime stories!
Thanks Lisa :)
she's prettier than other models and stars

Vanessa Kiego oh thank you, i Will definately check it out!
Hula bronzer by benefit ? For something cheaper the loreal true match face powders are amazzinng for bronzing and they have cool tone shades as well.
It is, I like having really soft brushes so it feels nice for the actresses and models I work on X
i love it when eyebrows are dissimilar i think its so beautiful
Wow, Claire ist just drop dead beautiful. Her skin looks just flawless, she could be model for any skincare line. Love the simplicity of the look.
Beautiful model

She is so frigging stunning! And that brush you used for contouring looks like the softest thing ever! You are amazing Lisa
Tummy rumble.. Too cute!
I love the contouring. I love to contour when doing makeup. It really changes the person's overall look and brings out their strongest features.
She reminds me of Sansa from Game of Thrones
Yes!!!!! I totally see that now!
In every single video you proof everytime why you are such a great artist.
I truly admire your work.
She looks a little bit like Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones aka Sophie Turner
The most helpful/natural contouring video EVER (darker shade of pressed powder = BRILLIANT). LOVE IT!!
Apparently I am the only one who thinks this looks very harsh...
For a night out, this look will be fantastic!

is it just me or does the model look like Sansa from Game of Thrones?
The most gorgeous model! Her eyes, skin, and all other features are so flawless. She should model for Bobbi Brown IMO.
I really love Lisa's videos but this one is a little weird. The contouring looks way to "fake" and "muddy". It would look great if it was a bit lighter and better blended in!
LydGr1 finally 😂 after searching in the comments, I find someone who thinks the same...

she is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful models i've EVER seen on youtube!
Lisa you always make all your models look so beautiful but so natural. You are truly talented!
honestly, she was already naturally lovely to begin with, but then you turned her into a goddess! just stunning.
This was so relaxing to watch! I've just recently learnt how important contouring and highlighting is... Thanks so much for sharing your expertise!
Claire is sooo beautiful! Even without makeup. And with the contouring she is breathtaking!
on my lips was a Clinique Chubby Stick in Richer Raisin x
Claire is stunning! It's amazing the difference some basic contouring and highlighting can make
She's got absolutely stunning eyes.. Love the sunkissed glow :)
I agree, she's a gorgeous girl inside and out X
I love your videos. One because they are very informative, two easy tips and tricks and three I adore your voice, it is so relaxing! I could listen to you talk for hours.
This is the best video I've found on contouring and highlighting. You made it look so natural. Thanks for the tutorial!
This is so gorgeous. Claire is absolutely stunning. Thanks, Lisa.
cant really recommend an actual shade without seeing you but the MUFE sculpting kit is good.

I know you must be busy with kids and your job, and I know you said on Facebook recently that you didn't feel like making videos because people were copying your looks and philosophy. But there is no one on youtube that's quite like you.
THANK YOU, so much, for still making videos. :)
I love this model! Use her for all your videos, Lisa! She's so beautiful yet so modest!
I'm so impressed by her pure beauty. And your videos and voice make me relaxing.
I am really enjoying this tutorial and will continue to watch the others. Your tone is incredibly soothing and music to my ears.
Beautiful look, stunningly strong and yet not fake looking contouring. I would love to see you do a couple of different looks on older skins with wrinkles, pigmentation, very sparse eyebrows/lashes etc.
Your the best, Lisa x
i love all your choices for models. they are all so different and uniquely beautiful....well done Lisa!
Claire is absolutely STUNNING. And this is a wonderful video...I find too many people go waaaaaay overboard and heavy-handed with contour and highlights. Lovely.
It's so relaxing to look at you make up, I always feel very serene at the end of the videos!
you have got such a light hand. i think it makes the brushes look even softer than they probably are!
I just love seeing you work, Lisa. It's a pleasure watching you doing make-up!
i've watched this video at least 100 times since the summer. even though it's winter now, i still love this bronze look!
She is gorgeous! My favorite model you have ever used Lisa! More looks with her please! x
yes of course X
You are the absolute MASTER! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!
Always amazing tutorials very well done, wit a lot of tips and teachings, classy and true professional
I have both Aucoin products. Now all I need is your artistry and patience -- and the model's youth would come in handy. Lovely video. Thank you.
I just spoke to them and they are going to add it to their site ... its not on their yet because its a brand new product X
Everyone I use it on loves it, I can see them relaxing as I sweep it across their cheeks X
