in regards to IN's mechanics: they don't really matter. if you're going for a 1cc then all that stuff with the gauge and the time orbs is just bonus which is kinda disappointing. so it can be completely ignored. overall i'd put this tier list in low B tier. pretty decent but deducted points for no pc98 representation. (th1 is unironically an S tier game)
DDC ain't so easy for me though, tbf, i play on normal with my only normal 1CCs being PCB and LLS in that order, so... EDIT: new statement to make, my most recent 1CC as of the 23rd of june 2023 was LoLK as reisen, and i actually found it more enjoyable than pointdevice, although that was probably because reisen is broken as hell in legacy and pretty much completely removes the need to think about bombing
Honestly, kind of agree with most of the list, i would personally put 16 into high A tier (it was my first one so that explains it) and i would drop 17 into B due to some issues i have with visiblity (although that happens mostly in roaring mode when it doesn't really matter too much if i take a hit) but outside of that yeah this is a good list (imo).
got randomly recommended the video after finishing a binge of the series and had to see what a random person's opinions are funnily enough my top 3 is exactly the same, 8's like a satisfying conclusion to a trilogy, 11's bosses are all super unique and fun to fight and with 18, i think it's really emblematic (emblamatic?) of ZUN's willingness to experiment with the series in a very positive way 15 n onwards feels like he's been gettin crazier with it (both in gameplay and story/aesthetic), and i can't wait to see what he does for 20 also, funny video is good

Your take against TD might as well be worthless since you directly refused to explain what is apparently wrong with the game's mechanics. The mechanics by the way are FACTUALLY rewarding and are specifically designed to give you significant resources if you learn and use it properly, so claiming that they are "unrewarding" is already sinking your credibility down to the underworld. You also ranked WBaWC that much higher even though it is objectively a way more flawed game. WBaWC has some awful stage design (repetitive streaming just look at stage 3 alone), particularly unbalanced shottypes (Otter and Eagle is like the gap between Meta Knight and Ganondorf in Brawl) and outright bad visibility. TD has none of these issues and TD in general isn't nearly as riddled with problems, so TD can be considered an objectively better designed game. No, the Trance system is not bad in the slightest and if you want to say otherwise you're going to need to provide objective arguments that aren't just "It's not fun" or "It's hard to learn".

If you dont got ur animals for some parts in the later stages it really does feel like he double hockeysticks, among other things. TD is def better cause there is actually some stuff to learn, things like setting up the enemy drops correctly to where you wait as long as you can till they almost disappear, then popping trance so maybe you can squeeze out some more resources at the tail end of your own trance. Generally looks good and clear too with fun visuals, stage 6 being a standout with the way the souls are being led by the fairies, cool stuff. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT video is personal preference, TD feels like molasses to me, cant be asked. (getting hit with a ton of trance is also the worst feeling in the whole series lul I cant take that emotional damage)
Don't take it too seriously 😭😭 besides, having to get close to the enemies to get life and bomb pieces SUCKS, especially since they aren't auto collected above the point of collection line
