The the puzzle boredom base…
Make a secret entrance leading to a stone platform at stone level,Place honey WITHOUT letting touch any block like you can make a stone wall then add honey on the side of the stone wall
Then at the bottom,add dripstone so if the player falls,he dies,add pistons for a maze,add a regenerating wall with an elder guardian,make a bridge with traps and finally, add a nether puzzle.
MAKE SURE IT IS UNDERGROUND
AND THE SECRET ENTRANCE IS ON GRASS LEVEL

I have a suggestion for you for a secret base, basically find a grass surface and get sticky pistons and then put one on the top and then put a lever and then anytime you want to go in your base you just press the lever
