Bhatt camp is/was known for having melodious songs and bold scenes in their movies. Emraan Hashmi was the face of their production house for a long time as he did many popular movies with them. Some other good films from them are Awarapan, Murder 2, Haunted etc. React to one of them if you like.

Most Importantly The Main Protagonist Is Emraan Hashmi So You Have To Watch The From His Perspective, You Cannot Just Go Like "'The Girl Is Right, She Should Leave Him, He Is An Oppressor".You Have To Atleast Try To Understand The Mindset Of Emraan Hashmi's Character.
Well it’s a movie with many protagonists and as you said there are different layers to characters. His actions in this film are consistent with people that are gaslighters and narcissistic and people shouldn’t need to sympathise with them just because it’s a movie
