I feel like the opening line “Did I hear a thunder? Did I hear you break? I can’t quite remember.” reflects Arthur witnessing Dutch lose his sanity over time. At first he didn’t notice (he noticed signs here and there) and suddenly he realized Dutch became a different person later in the game. No longer the father figure he had on a pedestal. Like watching an idol fall. Love this song. And game. timeless classics.
I would hold this up against any movie or TV series. This story is top-shelf. Even long after these graphics become dated, people will still be playing this simply because it's so good.
