I was a child maybe 8-9 at most when I heard this guy playing in a country bar down in west cork.. He was absolutely amazing & I remember he used to play the fiddle behind his back whilst looking around him, what an amazing musician he was.. R.I.P pecker, your music & you will live on forever..
Pecker was a great character and a true human being in the greatest meaning of the word: a thing that had to be just himself no matter what. I had the privileged of seeing him play live many time and it was fairy magic every time!!!
The Pecker is a legend, and one of the great artists to come out of Ireland. I saw the Pecker doing his thing for the yanks outside Durty Nelly's many years ago and he had them spellbound!
