i have mental illness,i cant quit listening to heavy metal music.but i pray dailly through a english orthodox prayer book.i have schizophrenia but i take my pills they help to a point.please help me

But I discovered that Praying multiple Rosaries daily is a super powerful way to fight back and recover the balance evil is trying to steal from you.👊 So I pick up my War beads at intervals throughout the day, whether I feel like it or not. Once I get started the results usually motivate me to keep going. The JESUS Prayer is also very good for anchoring the distracted or racing mind.🙏🌹🌹🌹
I just thought I was a horrible person.. I asked myself why these horrible things would come into my head while I was trying to talk to Him if I weren't just evil... it never occurred to me I was actually under attack. Thank you for sharing this wisdom.

The thing is, our modern world offers so many benign temptations. Imagine all the time that people put into their social media, versus the amount of time they put into their spiritual life. I try to make my kids aware of the consequences of the benign temptations even more than the 7 deadly sins, which are bad in a relatively obvious way.

I was doing great for the Lord. Left my old life behind. I saw a dream of warning ahead. But I did not prepare myself. Then it hit me like a sack of potatoes and now I'm stuck right back into what I thought and hoped I had left behind. Pray for me brothers and sisters. Pray I get out of this trap I've fallen back into.

That helps you to build your spirit self in order to fight those entities when they attack you in your dreams. Hello, just want to let you know that we as christians are given authority to cast out unclean spirits. I used to suffer terrible nightmares, which would wake me up sweating. This continued on for awhile, like few months. One morning I think holy spirit whispered to me, to cast out the spirit of nightmare. So I uttered out "spirit of nightmare rebuke you in Jesus name." Then I felt tremendous weight got off inside of me and felt immediate relief. I stopped getting nightmare completely except when it comes back occasionally, then id do the same thing again. Any how hope this helps you

About an hour ago I finished praying the Rosary. Prior to that, I said a mental prayer to Christ and Our Lady asking for help in my recent deep despair about my own salvation, bad thoughts during prayer and other times, my sinfulness etc. I just picked up my phone and your video was the first one on my TH-cam feed. I say this with love. Praying to anyone else other than God is a sin. In fact praying to Mary, the rosary is all praying to Satan. You are inviting demons into your life and one day if ypu continue with the rosary and Mary, those demons will soon manifest themselves to ypu physically. We can pray for each other but we are to never pray to the dead. Satan is a great deciever. God alone is worthy of praise. Have you been born again? If you are, you should be hearing the Holy Spirit speak to you daily, convicting you of sins and guiding you in all truths. If you are born again, you should be able to see a radical change in your life, a hunger towards righteousness. Your family and friends should be commenting on the radical change God has done in you. You should now hate all sin and love righteousness. Trust in Christ alone for salvation, you cant do it and neither can Mary.
@@jesusislord9707 my friend, you misunderstand what the rosary is. We do not, ever, pray to Mary. We pray through her and ask her to pray for us. Veneration is not the same as worship, although from the outside it may look that way.
Exactly the same happened to me finding this! I've been randomly attacked during prayer with horrible thoughts, I know what it is but never knew this was a common thing. I usually say "get ye behind me satan" and it instantly ceases.

I thought I was the only one going through these horrible immoral blasphemous thoughts especially when I pray my Rosary. I’ve been praying my Rosary now for several years the consolation was wonderful when I started it gave me a peace I never experienced before but 8 months in my daily Rosary something changed I started experiencing these terrible episodes and now several years later it has intensified and I was so confused and sorta spiritually fatigued. About 5 months ago or so after finishing praying my Rosary on my knees in my room at my prayer alter as I was getting up from my knees I heard a guttural sound in my room and it was loud. The hairs stood up on my skin but I quickly knew what it was and yelled out “you can’t make me stop praying the Rosary” and I rebuked it in the name of Jesus. I won’t stop now there’s no way I can stop now I’m not going back to my old life. Pray for me my brothers and sisters and will pray for you. May the Holy Spirit guide us and protect us all. May our Blessed Mother Mary point the way to her son Jesus. Amen!🙏⛪️❤️
Yes, I struggle with evil thoughts during prayer and sometimes even when I'm not praying. Initially I used to cry and ask Jesus for forgiveness. But it still kept coming. So, i decided by myself that whenever this happens, I will say out loudly " Jesus, I bow my head to You. You are my God and Master". Sometimes, I even kneel and say it if I'm alone. This has helped me. (Just sharing my experience here so that it could help someone). Thank you Fr. for bringing out this topic. I have never seen anybody talk of this openly.
I've been struggling with this for several months and I thought it was just me, I mean it just started and came out of nowhere. Very bad thoughts and in the beginning it was just bombarding my head for weeks/months on end. Thoughts I've never had and it didn't start til I realized what my sins were really doing to me and decided to live more for Jesus. Is this something that happens to a lot of people out there that finally realize they need Him in their lives?
Born Roman Catholic to Irish biological mother. Stopped going to church at 13. I guess I was New Age till a month ago. Started reading the bible for first time in 30 odd years. I understand that I've gone through dark night of the soul, possibly still am. This video has helped so much, I found it at the right time. God Bless You All. I mean this sincerely. --If you've been into New Age, you've opened the door wide to demons in your life. That's not the dark night of the soul, that's just inviting demons in and turning from the Most High. Repent, ask God's forgiveness with a sincere heart. Turn from your anti God ways; He is a jealous God. And then, get deliverance from the demonic that has attached to you or they will stick around. They don't just leave voluntarily. (And they hide in you and quiet down until an opportune time, so deliverance is needed).
Found this totally by accident. I'm a Catholic who attends the Tridentine Latin Mass. I am having a terrible struggle with lust even when I've prayed. I went to confession yesterday and found my self battling with lust right afterwards. Really needed to hear this. Thank you.

Its very scary though. I've noticed that every time I pray, for the most part very strange and perverted images and ideas come to my head and I have to start over and over saying my prayers.

Ok! This is what I do whenever the bad thought or word pops in my mind: I mentally take myself imediately to the feet of the cross, knees bent in adoration, because I say, if the devil wants to be in my company, it'll have to come to the feet of the cross to ADORE HIM too. Do this and you'll see they'll flee for weeks, but they'll come back, and you start the same exercise again. I used to be very distressed thinking it was me, now, I calmly pray in this manner.

Oh boy needed to hear this. The blasphemous thoughts especially during the rosary make me feel awful. I try to explain this to some of my catholic friends but feel so alone. I’m so aware like a microscope my self love and it’s truly humbling. It especially happens when I pray even when I most don’t feel like prayer but I force myself to push through the vocal prayers slowly. I’m seized with terrible words I can’t express and they feel like they are coming from me.
One nun told me that if this happens, to reject those thoughts and say loudly or in your mind: "these are not my thoughts, they shell go back where they came from". I remember doing it several times, but those kind of attacks stopped eventually.
Gina Kendrick I too have this kind of blasphemous thoughts. Sometimes it doesn’t appear in my mind when I tried to focus in my prayer especially praying the rosary. I just imagine Jesus on the cross with me the Mother of God beside me.
I also experienced this, after Holy Communion also, non stop for many many years, day and night. I could not pray rosary..the words I was hearing were awful and I thought it was coming from me. It was torture. The worst is when I want to pray directly to God and feel anxiety, what again am I going to hear. I learned to trust God, take deep breaths during swearing, and be aware that Lord knows about it. I do not fight it anymore and with God's grace attacks are fewer. Praise Lord.
God bless all of you. I have been fighting for awhile now such horrors, but recently relief has come. Just tell Jesus that you love him and don't know where these thoughts come from. You know I really thought that I was alone in this kind of struggle. Talked it over with a priest that did finally understand what I was talking about. Reach out. Jesus, I trust in you.

I struggled with evil and disturbing thoughts in RCIA preparing for reception into the Catholic Church. It was so isolating and I was afraid to tell anyone at the time. Listening to this, it makes a ton of sense that this was an attack and a sign of the reality of my life being completely renewed in Christ and the sacramental life of the Church. I have a feeling that there are many others who need to hear this good news while going through something that is so dark and difficult. Thank you!

Wow! God spoke straight to my heart through you. My eyes are all welled up. This gave me hope. I love the Lord so much and couldn't understand why my mind was suddenly attacked by these blasphemous thoughts. I cried out to God to help me understand. So very, very true! Know that when the dark forces begin to fight you as you pray, it is because they fear you. They fear the judgment that comes upon them through your prayers...because they know their time is short...and the more we pray, the quicker their judgment comes. Have courage, know that you are not alone. The angles are with you...and all of us who are also praying are also with you.
Yes, Father. It took a very long time for me to figure this out. And even though I am aware, attacks still occur. I have become much stronger through this understanding- and my strongest prayers are at night. I have been under siege for many years, but I continue to trust my Lord. I am so glad to have found this video by chance! I was so attacked that I had given up prayer and I even lost faith. I feel that I have been on the right path recently. I had experienced an increase in "attacks" since I started praying everyday again. I recently started to connect with the Lord on a new level that I never have before. I've been studying intensely and in prayer. Since then I have experienced 'evil thoughts' go through my mind and lots of nightmares. This pain and attacks on me tells me I'm on the right path. I don't dispare because of this. I prayed for help against these nightmares and I slept with a rosary wrapped around my hand (in addition to daily prayers throughout the day) the nightmares stopped instantly. Yesterday I made a mistake and allowed myself to get distracted my the evil one. I didn't say a single prayer all day. I had a nightmare that night. I woke up without the rosary. I didn't have it on. I almost lost it. I searched frantically and found it. I immediately said prayers and psalms which I usually do in the morning. It's better now. And I haven't experienced anymore nightmares since. I'll see how it goes. Bless you, brothers and sisters in Christ. Pray for me.
This happens because the devil is a liar. This happens to me everytime when I want to pray so I reject and I bind those thoughts away from my mind and it works. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

I’ve found that if I “play” the words I am praying in my mind, as if I am reading them as they scroll across the “screen” in my mind, it gives me something to focus on. This seems to enable me to pray better with fewer unwanted thoughts. It’s not 100% perfect but it helps a lot and gets better as you practice it. I also begin my prayers asking the Lord to make my prayers “pure” and acceptable to Him, and asking him to defend me from these thoughts.
You have addressed the very thoughts I have thought about many times, and confessed, but NO priest has explained it so well!! Thank you for this talk! I hope this will help others too. I've always spoken our Lord's words when evil endeavours to invade : Mathew 4, 10 : "Away from me, Satan". His help is instant.
I'm starting to comprehend better the necessity to go through the process of darkness and evil thoughts before grace can gradually fills our soul , I think I was fighting this effort thinking it was too much adversity and not enough gratifying grace . Lord give me the grace to persevere, not give up and not beat my heart too hard.
So true... for 4 1/2 years I've said my daily rosary and have been attacked regularly in the process. Pure determination keeps me at it, and, a promise to our Blessed Mother that I wouldn't miss a single day!
Having lived as a solitary for two years before age and bad health led to a return to society. Then came lockdown which I welcomed as a chance to return to the depth of prayer, but this time has been so much harder and so many more attacks and dark places. This happens to me during mass, at prayer and even at Adoration. I feel so worthless, ashamed, dirty and full of self loathing and despair. This video was of great help and it’s nice to hear it’s all part of the spiritual battle we all undertake on our journey towards sanctity.
I cried a lot thank you for this teaching. I feel so horrible because i have bitterness in my Heart that i yried to kill for almost 2 years, in vain. I feel not saved because of this bitterness i would like to not exist instead of sinning repeatedly in front of God's heart. I have struggled with this too,and I am reminded of some scriptures that really do help me, Ephesians 6:10-20...and when I am praying, I believe The Holy Spirit reminds me to take my every thought captive under The Obedience of Christ Jesus...indeed my brothers and sisters in Christ...spiritual warfare is very real, and ramping up in these last days, but be encouraged for He Who Lives in me, Is Stronger than he who lives in the world, and we overcome satan by The Blood of The Lamb and the WORD of our testimony, HalleluYah, as each day passes, our redemption draws near, in Jesus Name Amen 💕💕💕
Thank you Father, I wish our local church priests would do a sermon like this, to REALLY explain to the people, especially the youths, of all of this. The worldly voices exclaim an evil gospel, teaching youths that if these are your thoughts, then do what pleases you and what feels good. Young people don't realise that these dark thoughts that come to them are not theirs necessarily, I wish I knew this when I was a youth!

Orthodox mass counts as mass on the Catholic weekly check list so they are same as us. I think the difference is a Roman Pope thing a couple thousand years ago. This is off the top of my head so plz double check me.
@@ambilaevus7607 Dear Friend, if you ask Orthodox people in a mostly Orthodox countries, they will tell you that there are a quite many differences between Catholics and Orthodox, including our view on papacy, filioque, Theotocos (we have a slightly different interpretation if immaculate conception concept and Orthodox don't apply it to Mary), communion (Orthodox don't accept transubstantiation concept) and also more profound divide in the approach to mysticism and spirituality, including rejection of many Augustinian teachings. Nevertheless, if you ask an Orthodox Christian who lives in a country among Muslims, pagans or atheists, trust me, they will treat Catholics as our closest soul bodies (although I personally think that even though historically we are closer to Catholics, often early versions of Protestantism are more similar to us in their theological interpretations). But this is purely my personal view, so may be other Orthodox people feel differently. Much love to all Christians and prayer for the rest of the word to come home.

Father im struggling. This happened ever since I came to christ. And keeps progressing. I'm just scared, I keep having intrustive thoughts. I'm being fed lies and the fear numbs me. But I refuse to give up on christ. I just don't know when grace is coming.
Here is my advice to you. First of all, we all have struggled with such filthy thoughts that distract us from God, especially when we are praying, to different degrees. When such thoughts attack you say this "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have mercy on me the sinner". Say it constantly and incessantly, and your mind and soul will start to feel peace. Try it.
I sometimes have OCD just before I pray...but prayer is pretty much the only thing that makes it go away. It is the enemy's way of trying to weaken us. God our Father is the greatest, so we have nothing to fear. Trust in God.

I had the worst ugly thoughts today as if another voice or conscious is trying to force me away from God and even telling me stuff as ridiculous as God doesn't exist or pushing me towards pride and wanting to know everything concerning God's unfathomable secrets. It was so tiring I had a full on migraines, but I prayed to my Jesus and delivered my struggles to him as an act of penance for my sins and sinners and asked him patience and kept repeating I believe in his power to save me. Yup. Been giving our lord my first morning time for about 3 years now and daily mass, confessions and adoration and rosary. Now I’m finding Thoughts that are so evil and I’m so amazed how difficult it can be to feel peace. Frankly they are very frightening. I bought a book on spiritual warfare prayers by father Ripperger and there for the laity book by tan publishing. Thoughts are worse than ever. This video makes me even more determined to sit at the foot of that cross and hold tight...
I, too, was facing this challenge of unclean thoughts, ect. I was so comforted knowing that this happens to so many people and is very common and is a good sign that I am becoming a stronger Christian. God is so good to have us learn this information at a time when we so much need it. All Christians are truly united into ONE. We are here to serve one another and to build each other up. But also, we are here to WORK, to put out an EFFORT, to gain our salvation. As St. Paul said, to provide that one thing that is lacking in the crucifixion of Christ for our own salvation - our own desire, choices, sacrifices, work, effort, ect. God, the Father, wants us to experience hardships and to willingly experience them and welcome them, and feel them so painfully - out of LOVE for HIM and Jesus. Please realize this time on Earth, this time is the only time, the short time of our lives, that we are able to actually feel pain and sacrifice for HIM. After we die, we will be with HIM for eternity- full of JOY and HAPPINESS and FULFILLMENT. Our time now is such a very short time - the time of our life on earth - compared to eternity in Heaven. Realizing this fact, let us gladly experience hardships and trials for HIM while we can. Let us put everything in the correct context and priority and order. For the flesh and God is against each other, raging war inside of ourselves. Let us deny the pleasures of the flesh (and pride) to gain our fellowship with Christ and His Church. It is through this fight and effort and willingness and desire to overcome evil that our salvation is gained - along with FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE and affirmation that Jesus is both God and Man and died for our sins. I came across this video by accident about a week ago, I saved it and only watched it now. I have been struggling with this for a while now, whenever I sit down to pray, praise and worship God, my head is flooded with negative and sinful thoughts. Sometimes I cried because I thought God has not forgiven me that's why it's happening. Today Monday 12/1020 I decided to send an email to a father asking for help because it is getting too much for me. I got in bed and was about to pray then I though let me watch this video and I'm glad I did because not only does it make sense but also to know that there are other people going through the same as me,gives me hope. The thing is, our modern world offers so many benign temptations. Imagine all the time that people put into their social media, versus the amount of time they put into their spiritual life. I try to make my kids aware of the consequences of the benign temptations even more than the 7 deadly sins, which are bad in a relatively obvious way.

Hello, just want to let you know that we as christians are given authority to cast out unclean spirits.
I used to suffer terrible nightmares, which would wake me up sweating. This continued on for awhile, like few months.
One morning I think holy spirit whispered to me, to cast out the spirit of nightmare. So I uttered out "spirit of nightmare rebuke you in Jesus name."
Then I felt tremendous weight got off inside of me and felt immediate relief. I stopped getting nightmare completely except when it comes back occasionally,
then id do the same thing again.

I say this with love. Praying to anyone else other than God is a sin. In fact praying to Mary, the rosary is all praying to Satan. You are inviting demons into your life and one day if ypu continue with the rosary and Mary, those demons will soon manifest themselves to ypu physically. We can pray for each other but we are to never pray to the dead. Satan is a great deciever. God alone is worthy of praise. Have you been born again? If you are, you should be hearing the Holy Spirit speak to you daily, convicting you of sins and guiding you in all truths. If you are born again, you should be able to see a radical change in your life, a hunger towards righteousness. Your family and friends should be commenting on the radical change God has done in you. You should now hate all sin and love righteousness. Trust in Christ alone for salvation, you cant do it and neither can Mary.

Exactly the same happened to me finding this! I've been randomly attacked during prayer with horrible thoughts, I know what it is but never knew this was a common thing. I usually say "get ye behind me satan" and it instantly ceases.

I thought I was the only one going through these horrible immoral blasphemous thoughts especially when I pray my Rosary. I’ve been praying my Rosary now for several years the consolation was wonderful when I started it gave me a peace I never experienced before but 8 months in my daily Rosary something changed I started experiencing these terrible episodes and now several years later it has intensified and I was so confused and sorta spiritually fatigued. About 5 months ago or so after finishing praying my Rosary on my knees in my room at my prayer alter as I was getting up from my knees I heard a guttural sound in my room and it was loud. The hairs stood up on my skin but I quickly knew what it was and yelled out “you can’t make me stop praying the Rosary” and I rebuked it in the name of Jesus. I won’t stop now there’s no way I can stop now I’m not going back to my old life. Pray for me my brothers and sisters and will pray for you. May the Holy Spirit guide us and protect us all. May our Blessed Mother Mary point the way to her son Jesus. Amen!🙏⛪️❤️
Yes, I struggle with evil thoughts during prayer and sometimes even when I'm not praying. Initially I used to cry and ask Jesus for forgiveness. But it still kept coming. So, i decided by myself that whenever this happens, I will say out loudly " Jesus, I bow my head to You. You are my God and Master". Sometimes, I even kneel and say it if I'm alone. This has helped me. (Just sharing my experience here so that it could help someone). Thank you Fr. for bringing out this topic. I have never seen anybody talk of this openly.

I've been struggling with this for several months and I thought it was just me, I mean it just started and came out of nowhere. Very bad thoughts and in the beginning it was just bombarding my head for weeks/months on end. Thoughts I've never had and it didn't start til I realized what my sins were really doing to me and decided to live more for Jesus. Is this something that happens to a lot of people out there that finally realize they need Him in their lives?

Born Roman Catholic to Irish biological mother. Stopped going to church at 13. I guess I was New Age till a month ago. Started reading the bible for first time in 30 odd years. I understand that I've gone through dark night of the soul, possibly still am. This video has helped so much, I found it at the right time. God Bless You All. I mean this sincerely. --If you've been into New Age, you've opened the door wide to demons in your life. That's not the dark night of the soul, that's just inviting demons in and turning from the Most High. Repent, ask God's forgiveness with a sincere heart. Turn from your anti God ways; He is a jealous God. And then, get deliverance from the demonic that has attached to you or they will stick around. They don't just leave voluntarily. (And they hide in you and quiet down until an opportune time, so deliverance is needed).
Found this totally by accident. I'm a Catholic who attends the Tridentine Latin Mass. I am having a terrible struggle with lust even when I've prayed. I went to confession yesterday and found my self battling with lust right afterwards. Really needed to hear this. Thank you.

Ok! This is what I do whenever the bad thought or word pops in my mind: I mentally take myself imediately to the feet of the cross, knees bent in adoration, because I say, if the devil wants to be in my company, it'll have to come to the feet of the cross to ADORE HIM too. Do this and you'll see they'll flee for weeks, but they'll come back, and you start the same exercise again. I used to be very distressed thinking it was me, now, I calmly pray in this manner.

I am emerging from evangelicalism/charismaticism and am currently in the Anglican Church, while my boyfriend is orthodox. Oh boy needed to hear this. The blasphemous thoughts especially during the rosary make me feel awful. I try to explain this to some of my catholic friends but feel so alone. I’m so aware like a microscope my self love and it’s truly humbling. It especially happens when I pray even when I most don’t feel like prayer but I force myself to push through the vocal prayers slowly. I’m seized with terrible words I can’t express and they feel like they are coming from me.
You are not alone this happens to me especially! The enemy tries to make you feel isolated. We are going through the same exact thing.
One nun told me that if this happens, to reject those thoughts and say loudly or in your mind: "these are not my thoughts, they shell go back where they came from". I remember doing it several times, but those kind of attacks stopped eventually.
Gina Kendrick I too have this kind of blasphemous thoughts. Sometimes it doesn’t appear in my mind when I tried to focus in my prayer especially praying the rosary. I just imagine Jesus on the cross with me the Mother of God beside me.
I also experienced this, after Holy Communion also, non stop for many many years, day and night. I could not pray rosary..the words I was hearing were awful and I thought it was coming from me. It was torture. The worst is when I want to pray directly to God and feel anxiety, what again am I going to hear. I learned to trust God, take deep breaths during swearing, and be aware that Lord knows about it. I do not fight it anymore and with God's grace attacks are fewer. Praise Lord.
God bless all of you. I have been fighting for awhile now such horrors, but recently relief has come. Just tell Jesus that you love him and don't know where these thoughts come from. You know I really thought that I was alone in this kind of struggle. Talked it over with a priest that did finally understand what I was talking about. Reach out. Jesus, I trust in you.

I struggled with evil and disturbing thoughts in RCIA preparing for reception into the Catholic Church. It was so isolating and I was afraid to tell anyone at the time. Listening to this, it makes a ton of sense that this was an attack and a sign of the reality of my life being completely renewed in Christ and the sacramental life of the Church. I have a feeling that there are many others who need to hear this good news while going through something that is so dark and difficult. Thank you!

Wow! God spoke straight to my heart through you. My eyes are all welled up. This gave me hope. I love the Lord so much and couldn't understand why my mind was suddenly attacked by these blasphemous thoughts. I cried out to God to help me understand. I've never heard of your channel before and yet this video was on my news feed. I believe it was an act by God.

Hello, just want to let you know that we as christians are given authority to cast out unclean spirits.
I used to suffer terrible nightmares, which would wake me up sweating. This continued on for awhile, like few months.
One morning I think holy spirit whispered to me, to cast out the spirit of nightmare. So I uttered out "spirit of nightmare rebuke you in Jesus name."
Then I felt tremendous weight got off inside of me and felt immediate relief. I stopped getting nightmare completely except when it comes back occasionally,
then id do the same thing again.

So very, very true! Know that when the dark forces begin to fight you as you pray, it is because they fear you. They fear the judgment that comes upon them through your prayers...because they know their time is short...and the more we pray, the quicker their judgment comes. Have courage, know that you are not alone. The angles are with you...and all of us who are also praying are also with you.

Yes, Father. It took a very long time for me to figure this out. And even though I am aware, attacks still occur. I have become much stronger through this understanding- and my strongest prayers are at night. I have been under siege for many years, but I continue to trust my Lord. I am so glad to have found this video by chance! I was so attacked that I had given up prayer and I even lost faith. But I felt such a void that I kept praying a little to fill the void but did not pray as often as I used to. Perhaps God wanted me to watch this video to encourage me and bring my faith back!

I feel that I have been on the right path recently. I had experienced an increase in "attacks" since I started praying everyday again. I recently started to connect with the Lord on a new level that I never have before. I've been studying intensely and in prayer. Since then I have experienced 'evil thoughts' go through my mind and lots of nightmares.
This pain and attacks on me tells me I'm on the right path. I don't dispare because of this.
I prayed for help against these nightmares and I slept with a rosary wrapped around my hand (in addition to daily prayers throughout the day) the nightmares stopped instantly.
Yesterday I made a mistake and allowed myself to get distracted my the evil one. I didn't say a single prayer all day. I had a nightmare that night.
I woke up without the rosary. I didn't have it on. I almost lost it. I searched frantically and found it.
I immediately said prayers and psalms which I usually do in the morning.
It's better now. And I haven't experienced anymore nightmares since.
I'll see how it goes.

When I am in prayer, and the enemy attacks me, and tries to distract me I rebuke him in the name of Jesus Christ. I know logically that I'm not alone in this fight, but when it happens I feel alone when the enemy attacks me. I think it's important for all people to know that they are not alone when the enemy attacks them while they are in prayer. We must always rebuke the Devil in the name of Jesus Christ, by the power of the Blood of the Lamb!

I’ve found that if I “play” the words I am praying in my mind, as if I am reading them as they scroll across the “screen” in my mind, it gives me something to focus on. This seems to enable me to pray better with fewer unwanted thoughts. It’s not 100% perfect but it helps a lot and gets better as you practice it.
I also begin my prayers asking the Lord to make my prayers “pure” and acceptable to Him, and asking him to defend me from these thoughts.
What a beautiful way to use to see the kingdom of God here on earth as it is in Heaven

I'm starting to comprehend better the necessity to go through the process of darkness and evil thoughts before grace can gradually fills our soul , I think I was fighting this effort thinking it was too much adversity and not enough gratifying grace . Lord give me the grace to persevere, not give up and not beat my heart too hard.

Having lived as a solitary for two years before age and bad health led to a return to society. Then came lockdown which I welcomed as a chance to return to the depth of prayer, but this time has been so much harder and so many more attacks and dark places. I have struggled with this too,and I am reminded of some scriptures that really do help me, Ephesians 6:10-20...and when I am praying, I believe The Holy Spirit reminds me to take my every thought captive under The Obedience of Christ Jesus...indeed my brothers and sisters in Christ...spiritual warfare is very real, and ramping up in these last days, but be encouraged for He Who Lives in me, Is Stronger than he who lives in the world, and we overcome satan by The Blood of The Lamb and the WORD of our testimony, HalleluYah, as each day passes, our redemption draws near, in Jesus Name Amen 💕💕💕

Thank you Father, I wish our local church priests would do a sermon like this, to REALLY explain to the people, especially the youths, of all of this. The worldly voices exclaim an evil gospel, teaching youths that if these are your thoughts, then do what pleases you and what feels good. Young people don't realise that these dark thoughts that come to them are not theirs necessarily, I wish I knew this when I was a youth!

Orthodox mass counts as mass on the Catholic weekly check list so they are same as us.
I think the difference is a Roman Pope thing a couple thousand years ago. This is off the top of my head so plz double check me.
@@ambilaevus7607 Dear Friend, if you ask Orthodox people in a mostly Orthodox countries, they will tell you that there are a quite many differences between Catholics and Orthodox, including our view on papacy, filioque, Theotocos (we have a slightly different interpretation if immaculate conception concept and Orthodox don't apply it to Mary), communion (Orthodox don't accept transubstantiation concept) and also more profound divide in the approach to mysticism and spirituality, including rejection of many Augustinian teachings. Nevertheless, if you ask an Orthodox Christian who lives in a country among Muslims, pagans or atheists, trust me, they will treat Catholics as our closest soul bodies (although I personally think that even though historically we are closer to Catholics, often early versions of Protestantism are more similar to us in their theological interpretations). But this is purely my personal view, so may be other Orthodox people feel differently. Much love to all Christians and prayer for the rest of the word to come home.

Here is my advice to you. First of all, we all have struggled with such filthy thoughts that distract us from God, especially when we are praying, to different degrees. When such thoughts attack you say this "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have mercy on me the sinner". Say it constantly and incessantly, and your mind and soul will start to feel peace. Try it.
I sometimes have OCD just before I pray...but prayer is pretty much the only thing that makes it go away. It is the enemy's way of trying to weaken us. God our Father is the greatest, so we have nothing to fear. Trust in God.
Bless you my brother in Christ. The enemy's biggest weapon is fear.... say the Jesus Prayer....its cited by another responder to your post. It's the only thing that worked for me, but praise Jesus it did work & sets me free.... 🙏
Oh, the grace is coming frequently through a darkness to purify you and make more open for Holy Spirit and free and happy, go on for it and do not fear :) just trust in Jesus and focus on Him, all the time, and do not fear :) He already conquered everything :) God bless you

I had the worst ugly thoughts today as if another voice or conscious is trying to force me away from God and even telling me stuff as ridiculous as God doesn't exist or pushing me towards pride and wanting to know everything concerning God's unfathomable secrets. It was so tiring I had a full on migraines, but I prayed to my Jesus and delivered my struggles to him as an act of penance for my sins and sinners and asked him patience and kept repeating I believe in his power to save me. Yup. Been giving our lord my first morning time for about 3 years now and daily mass, confessions and adoration and rosary. Now I’m finding Thoughts that are so evil and I’m so amazed how difficult it can be to feel peace. Frankly they are very frightening. I bought a book on spiritual warfare prayers by father Ripperger and there for the laity book by tan publishing. Thoughts are worse than ever. This video makes me even more determined to sit at the foot of that cross and hold tight...
I, too, was facing this challenge of unclean thoughts, ect. I was so comforted knowing that this happens to so many people and is very common and is a good sign that I am becoming a stronger Christian. God is so good to have us learn this information at a time when we so much need it. All Christians are truly united into ONE. We are here to serve one another and to build each other up. But also, we are here to WORK, to put out an EFFORT, to gain our salvation. As St. Paul said, to provide that one thing that is lacking in the crucifixion of Christ for our own salvation - our own desire, choices, sacrifices, work, effort, ect. God, the Father, wants us to experience hardships and to willingly experience them and welcome them, and feel them so painfully - out of LOVE for HIM and Jesus. Please realize this time on Earth, this time is the only time, the short time of our lives, that we are able to actually feel pain and sacrifice for HIM. After we die, we will be with HIM for eternity- full of JOY and HAPPINESS and FULFILLMENT. Our time now is such a very short time - the time of our life on earth - compared to eternity in Heaven. Realizing this fact, let us gladly experience hardships and trials for HIM while we can. Let us put everything in the correct context and priority and order. For the flesh and God is against each other, raging war inside of ourselves. Let us deny the pleasures of the flesh (and pride) to gain our fellowship with Christ and His Church. It is through this fight and effort and willingness and desire to overcome evil that our salvation is gained - along with FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE and affirmation that Jesus is both God and Man and died for our sins. Amen. Glory be to God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit.

I came across this video by accident about a week ago, I saved it and only watched it now. I have been struggling with this for a while now, whenever I sit down to pray, praise and worship God, my head is flooded with negative and sinful thoughts. Sometimes I cried because I thought God has not forgiven me that's why it's happening. Today Monday 12/1020 I decided to send an email to a father asking for help because it is getting too much for me. I got in bed and was about to pray then I though let me watch this video and I'm glad I did because not only does it make sense but also to know that there are other people going through the same as me,gives me hope.
